Lily thought about it for only a second before agreeing. There was nothing wrong with taking extra support, especially when the extra person in question was at Mid 4-star.
But there was one problem, and that was Agni’s carrying capacity. With his size and body structure, there were only three people he could carry comfortably at once. If more people were added, it would directly affect his flight capabilities, decrease his maneuverability, and put additional strain on him.
Lily understood that as well. In other words, they wouldn’t be able to carry James and Sera back if they wanted to come. Not to mention, a few other people would also likely come alongside them—mostly Lily’s colleagues from the restaurant.
"Hmm, I can summon a Spirit Beast from those avian beast cores..." Lily said. She was talking about the beast cores gathered from the avian beasts that had died while flying alongside the King-Tier Spirit Beast, Nimbus Tyrant.
"But stronger ones won’t be completely trustworthy unless you contract them or keep the weaker ones than you in that summoned form without fully resurrecting them. If they are resurrected, they can betray and run away. One consumes your valuable contract slots, and the other risks extremely high mana usage over such a vast distance," Leo contemplated before simply opening his phone and messaging Kaelion for him to see it once he was back at the academy.
He simply called him to Kendru City after he came back from the mission. Hopefully, it would be completed before they set out to return from the city. Otherwise, Lily might need to summon a spirit while enduring that high mana consumption. At that time, Leo would have to help her replenish her mana.
But then, he suddenly had an idea.
What if I used the Wyvern Beast Cores to fuse with the Infernal Serpent? The last thing I know, it might turn out to be a variant of a Feathered Serpent...
Having read about Feathered Serpents in the library, he knew those beasts strongly resembled serpents, with the distinctive feature of long feathered wings originating from their napes that allowed them to fly.
Even Lunaria had gained a physical feature in the form of the long horn on her forehead due to fusing with the Tempest Starwolf Beast Core. So it was entirely possible.
But the only problem was that a Wyvern’s wings consisted of stretched membranes instead of feathers. Another issue was that Leo needed those cores to advance Agni’s and Ashira’s bloodlines.
Still, he couldn’t let go of the idea. Having a flying serpent over 200 meters long that could spam Inferno Breath on their team had no downsides.
Let’s add acquiring a Feathered Serpent’s Beast Core to my bucket list.
With that thought, Leo, Lily, and Sylrael departed toward Aurelius Hall to get to Thalor.
But when Leo went to the teleportation area and told the operator about his destination, he was directed to a staff member.
"Please write an application stating your departure, reason, path, destination, and the estimated duration you will remain outside the academy," the staff member instructed.
Leo didn’t know such a complicated procedure existed, but he did it nonetheless and submitted the application at the counter.
"Please wait until the application is approved by the official in charge."
"How long will it take?" Leo asked, a little irritated after writing everything.
But he also knew the academy was doing all this for their safety.
"It should be approved within a week."
"Huh? So long?"

Lily was growing restless, but they had no choice except to return to the territory. Having been under James and Sera’s good care for so long, Lily would be devastated if something happened to them.
While Lily occupied herself with other things, Leo thought about helping Agnivar advance once again so their journey could become easier.
He immediately went to Aurelius Hall to get some materials, while Agnivar was told to start eating a chunk of meat from the Infernal Serpent’s body that had been specially sliced off from the tail region.
As for Ashira, she was told to eat the corpses of the monkey beasts that had been the underlings of the Magmaback Ape Lord, whom Leo had killed in the Ember City Secret Realm. Her rank was simply too low to digest the Infernal Serpent’s meat.
He himself went to Aurelius Hall and bought four Mid 4-star Mana Crystals for 1.8 million AC. He was about to buy some Mid 4-star Fire Element Beast Cores, but a single core cost 20 million AC for an purely fire beastcore.
And he only had 9.85 million AC left. Even with the business income, it wasn’t more than 15 million, and Lily was already running low on her balance as well.
Having no choice, he opted to use 30 Wyvern Beast Cores out of the 110 he had left—25 for Agni and 5 for Ashira.
