The letter was three pages long, written in neat handwriting. It talked about how everything was going well in Kendru City and that there wasn’t anything to worry about.
James was doing well as the Baron, and he had even planned to continue being the City Lord, so Leo and Lily shouldn’t come to them while bearing the heavy cost of travel.
She even talked about the supplies the city had received due to producing geniuses like them.
As a matter of fact, Sera had even scolded Lily for thinking about it since not only would it affect their classes and training, but it would also incur huge costs that would be difficult to cover.
Since James had been a drill instructor in an academy, he knew how much students struggled. Not to mention the competitive environment that made fights and bullying common.
Though he didn’t know the specifics of Aurelius Beast Academy, having worked in some no-name academy, he had seen Peak 2-star to Peak 3-star individuals struggling to barely complete the necessary missions and jobs to avoid getting expelled from the top academies.

Everything felt normal according to Leo, but to Lily, it wasn’t right.
"What happened? Everything seems to be good on their side?" Leo asked.
Lily shook her head.
"The letter doesn’t seem to have been written with the same emotions that the words are trying to convey..." she muttered softly.
Lily herself felt confused about why she was feeling that way.
They Lily brought out a pen and proceeded to mark some phrases and sentences in the letter that she felt weren’t right.

There were a few more lines that she marked. Most talked about how well they were doing, and then there was one last line that she deemed was actually true. Not just true, but written with genuine emotion.
’Thanks a lot for making the payment for the reply letter...’
She looked at Leo.
"Leo, it doesn’t look good to me," she said.
Leo also nodded, his expression already serious.
Is she feeling the spirit with which the letter was written?
Since Lily’s talent made her a master of spirits and even allowed her to sense the intention behind others’ actions, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume she was sensing the emotions behind which the letter had been written.
And if that were true, then the letter meant the exact opposite of what it was trying to convey.

"Leo, we should leave immediately!" she said, worry already creeping into her mind.
Leo immediately brought out his phone and searched for Kendru.

He searched for the nearest teleportation point, and it was none other than his trial city—Thalor.

Agnivar took a moment to think before answering.
"I am not sure since I have never tried it, but the 50,000 kilometres should be covered in less than two days if that support is given."
Lily looked toward Leo for confirmation.
"Let’s go then. It will be better than having some other person dictate our ride."
Leo proceeded to inform Sylrael and the others about his departure over the phone. Sylrael and Lyswenna were wrapping things up in Aurelius Hall to return and greet Leo and Lily when they stopped after seeing the message.
They looked toward each other.
"Something important must have come up. This time, I will accompany them. You, Naelith and Zharrissa handle the territory in our absence," Sylrael said before immediately heading to the territory.
By the time she arrived, Leo and Lily were finishing their preparations.
