In the very beginning, Melissa hadn’t actually had any feelings to speak of for her own "master."

It was simply because her young mistress liked him, so she did what she had to do.

Later, as time went on, she discovered this master was indeed a good person, and only then did she truly start to develop feelings for him.

In comparison, Shefilya was actually luckier and would be happier this way.

Not to mention, both Miss Feney and Shefilya had chosen the perfect person.

[Great Healing Skill] Level 1 (0/10): Consumes more Magic Power to resonate with the Light Element, soothing pain and promoting wound healing. It also has some ability to mend severed limbs. The Healing Effect is dependent on the amount of Magic Power infused.

’I finally maxed out this skill.’

Lin Mo was overcome with a pleasant surprise. He was even happier than if he had maxed out an Excellent Level skill. After all, Healing Technique was an incredibly difficult skill to train. Its Skill Level only increased with effective healing, unlike other skills where you could just kill monsters and watch the level skyrocket.

Leveling Healing Technique to Max Level, including the new skill it evolved into, gave Lin Mo a total of 3 Magic Power and 1 Spirit.

As for the skill that Healing Technique evolved into... its name was quite self-explanatory.

Great Healing Skill, as the name implied, was an upgraded version of Healing Technique. Aside from consuming more Magic Power to resonate with more of the Light Element for a stronger effect, it also added an ability that Healing Technique lacked: mending severed limbs.

The original Healing Technique could only treat wounds, but it was helpless against injuries like broken bones or severed limbs. After obtaining Great Healing Skill, however, even these injuries could be treated effectively.

This was a pretty nice upgrade.

However, besides that, there was something even more important.

His Profession promotion.

The promotion condition for the Priest Profession was the same as the Mage Profession: the Magic Attribute. And Lin Mo’s Magic Power had already reached the level of a Level 5 Mage.

’So, does that mean my Priest Profession can also go straight to Level 5?’

Lin Mo had been pondering this question for some time. But with no precedent to go on, he couldn’t think his way to an answer; it could only be found through practice.

And now, the truth was finally about to be revealed.

Lin Mo looked at the text that appeared on the panel before him.

"Promotion conditions met. You have obtained the Profession: Priest (Level 1)."

"Gained Professional Attribute Amplification: Magic Power +4, Spirit +2!"

"Gained Class Skill—Priest’s Heart!"

’Excellent. An amplification effect of another 4 Magic Power and 2 Spirit.’

’With the Goblin siege right around the corner, every bit of power counts.’

’And of course, it wouldn’t be a Profession promotion without the standard bonus—a Class Skill.’

’Speaking of which, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten a new Profession. I wonder what the Priest’s Class Skill will do?’

Skill Effect: Healing/Purification effects increased by 10%.

’Well... it’s pretty standard, I guess. The kind of effect anyone would have expected.’

’While it’s not surprising, I have to admit this Class Skill’s effect is pretty potent.’

The 10% boost to Healing Effect speaks for itself. Combined with Great Healing Skill, at Lin Mo’s current Level, a single cast would be equivalent to at least two Basic Life Potions.

As for the boost to the Purification effect, that would most likely come in handy later on.

’Once I learn the Purification Technique, I’ll be able to handle negative status effects much better. Besides that, the increased Purification effect will also boost the power of Holy Light when used against Undead Creatures.’

Lin Mo skimmed past this information. He was far more concerned about whether his Priest Profession could continue to be promoted.

"Holy shit, it actually works!"

He exclaimed in pleasant surprise.

A series of prompts appeared one after another before his eyes.
