’A Bronze Secret Chamber?’

Lin Mo thought back for a moment. He remembered they had already entered two Bronze Secret Chambers after coming in.

The second of those chambers had contained two adult Cat Demons and over a dozen Ordinary ones. The other had two Minotaurs... one of which wasn’t there at first but chased after them later, almost causing a disaster.

However, opponents who had been incredibly dangerous to him back then now seemed like nothing more than small fry, no different from what he’d find in a Black Iron Level chamber.

If he had to point out one difference, it was that they awarded more Skill Level.

He used Rock Shield to push open the large doors again, and without a word, immediately greeted whatever was inside with a [Flaming Arrow].

Scorching flames coalesced into an Arrow and shot forward, piercing straight through the chest of the unlucky soul behind the door, leaving a charred, gaping hole.

Its massive body collapsed lifelessly. The other Minotaur standing nearby swung its Giant Axe at Lin Mo, but he caught it between two fingers.

The next moment, his figure blurred into an afterimage, flashing past at incredible speed.

[Shadow Assault]!

He wasn’t using a dagger or a Short Knife, but the Black Sword.

With that one strike, the Minotaur’s thick body was sliced clean in two.

’Sure enough, the Assassin Profession’s Skills aren’t restricted to short-handled weapons. They work just fine with a One-Handed Sword, and the effect is quite good.’

’Although, for most Assassins, the flexibility of short-handled weapons is still a better fit.’

Following behind him, Shefilya was inwardly stunned.

Of course, she recognized the move; it was a Skill she had personally taught Lin Mo.

But...

She had always kept her distance before and couldn’t see clearly, but observing him up close now, she realized he had already become this proficient with it.

Back then, it had taken her nearly half a year to reach Lin Mo’s current level of mastery with this move!

And while she had been practicing other Skills during that time, so had Lin Mo.

He was even practicing Skills from multiple Professions!

Shefilya could finally understand why Miss Flora was always complaining to her mistress back then.

’This talent... it’s simply inhuman!’

[Flaming Arrow] Skill Level +8

[Shadow Assault] Skill Level +8

’It’s not enough. This much Skill Level is even less than the previous rooms.’

Both of these Skills were single-target focused, so he had neglected to level them up before, and their progress was slow.

Lin Mo planned to use them more often to evolve them quickly and add to his single-target arsenal.

As for area-of-effect attacks, he had [Blizzard], so he wasn’t lacking in that department for now.

’Oh, right. There’s also [Thunder Strike Skill]. It’s been a while since I’ve used or leveled that one too.’

Stepping past the Minotaurs’ corpses, Lin Mo searched the chamber for a moment and finally found what he was looking for.

A grayish-blue Treasure Chest.

The seal on the Treasure Chest was gradually fading. Lin Mo waited quietly for it to disappear completely before opening it.

Inside were forty to fifty Gold Coins, plus a Short Knife.

Gold Coins were worth far more than Silver Coins, making them worth carrying.

As for the Short Knife...

Lin Mo focused his gaze on it.

Level: Excellent (Green)

Attributes: Durability +80%, Sturdiness +40%, Sharpness +30%

Hidden Attributes: Hunting II: Damage increased by 10% when fighting beast-type Demons.

Equipment Amplification: Dog Fang II: 10% chance to cause an additional "Bleed" effect, accelerating blood loss from wounds.

It was an Excellent Level Short Knife. Its Attributes and amplification were pretty standard, making it a decent short-handled weapon.

Lin Mo happened to be in need of a better short-handled weapon. The dagger he was currently using was clearly inferior to this one, so it was the perfect time for an upgrade.

’But compared to the loot from the two Bronze Level Treasure Chests before, this one is a bit underwhelming...’

’Hopefully, there’ll be something better ahead.’
