’Perhaps he was just looking out for a newcomer.’ Lin Mo didn’t dwell on it. They had probably been in the Secret Realm for some time; it was time to leave.

After the Trial Gate vanished, a small path suddenly opened in the previously sealed wall before them.

Lin Mo and Shefilya walked along this small path, and before long, they saw the familiar exit of the Secret Realm.

Evidently, this meant they had cleared the Secret Realm.

Lin Mo checked the vicinity, and after confirming there were no forgotten treasures, he and Shefilya walked into the Secret Realm’s exit together.

It was worth noting that this time, Shefilya didn’t just grab the corner of his clothes. Instead, she directly took Lin Mo’s hand.

It happened so suddenly that Lin Mo only realized it after they had returned outside the Secret Realm.

Shefilya’s hand was small and looked slender, but it felt surprisingly soft and had a faint coolness to it.

Logically, the palms of a Professional like her, who had trained year-round since childhood, should have been rough. However, this world clearly had special ways to deal with that. Plus, as a maid from the City Lord’s Family, Shefilya most likely wasn’t short on money, so her hands were very well-maintained.

Lin Mo looked at Shefilya, who had taken the initiative to hold his hand the very moment they left the Secret Realm.

The young maid didn’t seem to think much of it. Her expression was as calm as ever as she explained placidly, "To avoid any accidents."

After all, grabbing the corner of his clothes hadn’t worked when they were entering the Trial Space.

However, Lin Mo figured that given the unique nature of that Trial Space, even holding hands or hugging probably wouldn’t have made a difference. In the end, he still would have been the only one to enter that space.

It was currently early morning, and they had no idea how many days had passed since they first entered the Secret Realm.

To keep Ali and the others from worrying, Lin Mo and Shefilya hurried toward Silver Stream City.

They had been well-rested to face the trial, not expecting that its content wouldn’t be about fighting monsters, but would instead require the Trial Taker to master Space Magic and learn Flash to leave.

But this also meant they were in great condition now, so they could travel at top speed.

Lin Mo and Shefilya both had high Agility Attributes. With just the two of them traveling, their speed was naturally much faster than when they were adventuring normally. That said, when they encountered Demons on the road, they still had to stop and grind some Proficiency.

His gains in the Secret Realm this time could be described as bountiful. Not only did he obtain a bottle of Intermediate Flame Reagent, but he also learned Space Magic and acquired the Ring of Space.

But he had to admit, his Proficiency gains weren’t as high as he had expected, so he would grind whenever he had the chance on the way.

The skills Lin Mo focused on training were, naturally, Fire Magic.

After drinking that bottle of Intermediate Flame Reagent in the Secret Realm, Lin Mo’s current Fire Element Affinity was now far ahead of his affinity with other Elements. Logically, the power of his Fire Elemental Magic should be the greatest.

But Lin Mo’s Fire Element Skill Levels were in a rather awkward spot.

He didn’t have a single Superior Level spell, only two Excellent Level skills: one single-target, Flaming Arrow, and one AoE, Blast Flame Fireball. Neither was at a very high level.

So Lin Mo planned to prioritize practicing these two skills and at least raise them to the Superior Level. That way, his Fire Element Skills could become one of his mainstays in combat.

Because the base level of [Flaming Arrow] was relatively low, it was very easy to train.

After killing a few Demons along the way, [Flaming Arrow] directly rose to Level Three.

"Skill [Flaming Arrow] Level 2 (20/20) has leveled up!"

"Current Skill: [Flaming Arrow] Level 3 (4/40)"

"Gained attribute points: Magic Power +2!"

With two more points in Magic Power, Lin Mo’s Basic Magic Attribute had now reached 46 points, putting him more than halfway to becoming a Level Five Mage.

On the rest of the journey, Lin Mo continued to use Flaming Arrow to kill the Demons they encountered. Since it was an Excellent Level skill, he didn’t suffer from diminishing proficiency returns even when killing the most Ordinary Demons. Furthermore, they encountered a large number of Demons on the road, including many Goblins who traveled in groups, basically serving themselves up as proficiency points. As a result, the skill leveled up with unexpected speed.

By the time they reached the outer area of Loran Forest, Lin Mo’s [Flaming Arrow] skill had already reached Level 5!

"Skill [Flaming Arrow] Level 4 (100/100) has leveled up!"

"Current Skill: [Flaming Arrow] Level 5 (1/180)"

Just one more level, and the skill would be able to evolve.

[Flaming Arrow] was a single-target skill, so its evolved form would likely also be single-target in nature. This would fill a gap in Lin Mo’s single-target offensive magic.

Once they reached the outer area, they began to encounter Adventurers hunting Goblins every so often. It seemed Silver Stream City’s recent promotional efforts had been very effective, attracting many new Adventurers.

These Adventurers might not have a huge impact individually, but they could at least help reduce the Goblin population. Moreover, Adventurers grow stronger over time. Once these newcomers had developed their skills, even if only half or even a third of them chose to remain in Silver Stream City, it would be a great boon for the city’s Lord and the Adventurer’s Association.

Back in the city, the first thing Lin Mo did was head to the manor where they were currently living.

As he approached the manor, he heard the voices of Ali and Lena talking. It seemed the Little Cat Girl was off today and hadn’t gone to work at the Association, so she was at home researching gardening.
