’I should study that Flash Skill.’

Lin Mo circulated the Magic Power within him. Following the information in his mind, he rapidly released his Magic Power in the form of high-frequency vibrations, trying to use this power to sense and find the so-called flowing space.

This was obviously no easy task. Ninety-nine percent of the Mages in the world couldn’t do it, which was precisely why Space Magic was so difficult to learn and master.

For the moment, Lin Mo couldn’t find the knack for it. He just couldn’t get a feel for it and had no idea where to even begin.

’I’ll take it slow. You can’t rush these things. The more you rush, the harder it is to immerse yourself in it.’

Lin Mo cleared his mind. With a go-with-the-flow attitude, he began to try again, little by little...

Generating high-frequency vibrations with Magic Power was an incredibly difficult feat in itself. It required an extremely high degree of control over one’s Magic Power. The slightest lapse or mistake could disrupt the frequency, forcing him to start all over again.

For the vast majority of Mages, just achieving this stable, specialized Magic Power vibration was an insurmountable hurdle.

Lin Mo couldn’t do it well at first, either. Even though his control over Magic Power was considerable and he excelled at fine manipulation, he had never attempted anything like this before. Mistakes were inevitable.

After well over a hundred attempts, Lin Mo finally succeeded once.

And after that, everything seemed to fall into place...

Once he captured that feeling, everything suddenly became much simpler.

Lin Mo continuously circulated his Magic Power, becoming more and more proficient with practice.

Next was the second hurdle: using this special Magic Power vibration to try and find the "flow" of space.

If the first step could be slowly mastered by even a less-talented person through months or even years of relentless practice, then the second step was purely a matter of talent.

If one lacked the talent, had bad luck, or if the circumstances weren’t right, they might never achieve a breakthrough.

This actually had some similarities to the Entry Level of becoming a Mage. If one couldn’t sense Magic Power and Elements, they couldn’t learn Magic.

But the difficulty was much, much higher...

A moment later, Lin Mo sighed in resignation. ’It’s still not working, is it?’

In truth, amid the constant fluctuations of his Magic Power, he’d already felt something faint and ephemeral.

But it was as if something was blocking it. He was just one step away from fully capturing that flash of insight, but ultimately fell short.

’Space Magic really is hard. I’ll just wait until this trip to the Secret Realm is over and study it slowly back in the city.’

Time trickled by. Shefilya didn’t sleep for long, opening her eyes after about two or three hours.

"Aren’t you going to rest a little longer?"

Lin Mo asked when he saw her get up.

"It was enough..."

Shefilya shook her head, then suddenly looked as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.

"I have to take care of something. Wait here for a moment."

After speaking, she turned and walked into the secret chamber from before, even closing the door behind her.

Lin Mo was stunned for a moment, then he suddenly realized she had most likely gone to "pick a flower."

Nature calls, after all. They had been in the Secret Realm for quite some time, so it was normal. Lin Mo himself had found a corner to relieve himself earlier.

A short while later, Shefilya pushed the door open again.

Lin Mo walked up to the "Trial Gate."

"Well then, let’s go in."

Shefilya nodded, walked up behind him, and grabbed the hem of his robe.

Lin Mo took a deep breath and walked into the oval Light Ring before him.

It felt different from when they entered the Secret Realm. Before him was a vast emptiness, but his consciousness remained clear, and his senses were sharp.

But Shefilya, who had just been grabbing the hem of his robe, was nowhere to be found.

’What’s going on?’

Lin Mo looked behind him. The entrance had vanished. The entire world was a vast expanse of white, with nothing in it.

’So, this is the place for the trial... But what exactly is the trial?’

Lin Mo tried walking through this vast, white space.

However, no matter how far he walked, the scene before him didn’t change at all. Nothing appeared other than himself.

It was as if he had been exiled to a void, cut off from the world.

’This won’t work.’

Lin Mo tried to sit down to calm himself and think, but he discovered there was no ground beneath him. He had been standing on it and had walked a fair distance, yet when he bent down and reached out his hand, he touched nothing at all...

Lin Mo frowned and thought for a long time. Suddenly, he checked his belongings: his Black Sword, Mage Robe, Leather Armor, Flame Ring, and Peaceful Spirit Bracelet, as well as the backpack he carried that held his spoils.

All of these items were still there.

But—

Lin Mo suddenly thought of something. He reached inside his Mage Robe and pulled out a few Potions from an inner pocket.

Other than that, it was empty.

’Where’s the Scroll?’

The blank Scroll that recorded the Entry Level information for Space Magic and included the "Flash" Skill.

Lin Mo clearly remembered putting the Scroll inside his robes, but now, it was gone...
