Caroline waved her hand. "Whether it’s Ordinary Goblins or Mutated Goblins, the numbers are more than sufficient. The Goblin race has already entered a positive reproductive cycle. Aside from the high-quality materials, it really makes no difference whether those lowly ’swine’ are there or not."

"Now then, go do what you must, Cres. It’s time for me to ’dine’."

Cres smiled. "In that case, I won’t disturb you from enjoying your ’delicacy’."

As he turned to leave, he paused. "Remember to be careful of that girl, Flora. Since she came all the way here from the Royal Capital, she’s not likely to give up so easily."

But Caroline was clearly no longer listening to him. She released the bell that was about to burst, savoring the look of terror twisting his face...

Cres shook his head. ’As her partner, I’ve done enough. If she refuses to listen, it’s no concern of mine.’

Before nightfall, the Silver Radiance Squad and the Cyan Orchid Squad made it back to Silver Stream City without incident.

Walking into the familiar Adventurer’s Association, everyone felt as if they had come home.

Lin Mo opened his Skill Level panel to check on his gains from the journey back.

Perhaps because their return was rushed, they didn’t encounter many Demons. Still, Lin Mo managed to raise his [Wind Blade Skill] to Level 3.

He had also learned this skill back at the City Lord’s Mansion. However, as an Ordinary Level spell in the same category as [Fireball Technique] and [Ice Cone Skill], it was in an awkward position compared to other, more powerful or utilitarian skills.

He could only really use it in trivial battles to grind its Skill Level.

Fortunately, raising it to Level 3 still provided a small boost to Lin Mo’s Magic Power.

In addition, his Ranger Profession skill, [Lightness], was also successfully raised to Level 2.

’Not a bad haul.’

Recently, due to the goblin rampages, the bounties on these Demons had skyrocketed to rather absurd levels.

Of course, the bounty for Ordinary Goblins had seen the largest proportional increase, but even so, it only came to 4 silver coins a piece. It wasn’t a significant burden for the Association or the City Lord’s Mansion.

"The second quest was killing Flame Cat Demons, number E6647. The base reward is 90 gold, plus materials buyback... 79 pairs of Ordinary Cat Demon’s Claws, at 30 silver per pair, totaling 23 gold and 70 silver; 11 pairs of Curse Patterned Cat Demon’s Claws at 10 gold per pair, for 110 gold; 4 pairs of adult Curse Patterned Cat Demon’s Claws at 18 gold per pair, for 72 gold; 3 pairs of Dark Curse Cat Demon’s Claws at 35 gold per pair, for 105 gold; and finally, two pairs of Flame Cat Demon claws... one from a creature around Threat Level 2.5, the other from a Level 3, valued at 70 and 80 gold coins respectively..."

"The reward for this quest is a total of 550 gold and 70 silver coins!"

’As expected,’ he thought, ’quests that involve gathering materials are always more profitable.’

Finally, there was the quest to kill the Frost Ice Corpse, number D758. The base reward alone was 330 gold!

In addition, they had the Core Bones from two Elemental Corpses.

Lena called over the Association’s appraiser to value the two relatively rare materials.

After a careful examination, the appraiser explained, "A Core Bone from an Undead Creature can’t be used directly. It must undergo a complex, specialized process before it can function similarly to a Magic Stone. This process requires other materials and involves a certain amount of loss, so its actual value is considerably lower than a Magic Stone..."

"This Fire Attribute bone is worth around 200-240 gold. The Association can buy it back at the median price of 220. What do you think?"

Lin Mo looked to Landon, as he had no experience with this sort of thing.

Landon considered it for a moment, then nodded. "The Association’s prices have always been fair."

’If we sold it to a private buyer,’ Landon thought, ’we could probably get more, maybe 240 or even 250 gold coins. But we’d have to find that buyer ourselves, which is a huge hassle. Not many people can afford an item of this value, so it would take a lot of time and effort. It’s better to just sell it to the Association. It’s convenient and saves a lot of trouble.’

"And what about the Ice Attribute one?"

This was the question Lin Mo was most concerned about.

"Hmm..."

The appraiser studied it for a moment. "The Elemental Strength in this Core Bone is significantly stronger than the fire-attribute one. It must have come from at least a Level 4 Rotten Corpse. Its value is around 350 gold coins."

’Acceptable,’ Lin Mo thought. ’Not an outrageous price.’

Lin Mo nodded. "We’ll just sell the Fire Attribute one. I want to keep the Ice Attribute one for myself. Just deduct the cost from my share of the earnings."
