Chapter 194: The False Accusation At Seraphina
However, she failed to notice that the person standing in front of her was a clone of him.
Even when her heart was bound with Luke from the golden chains, which had the goddess herself cast.
Then how did she not notice?
Well the answer was simple. Nyx had already mentioned to Luke that he had perfected this ability to the extreme.
And he was not summoning an ordinary clone, instead he was bringing his other self, which existed somewhere in the Void that was connected to many realities.
Because of that, all clones of Luke also had their hearts bound by golden chains, which even Luke had not noticed.
As the Void was hiding it.
Because of that, unless the goddess came herself, she would not be able to find the real golden chains from the heavans, as all of them were real, but from different realities.
Even that could be fixed if Luke became strong or increased his mastery over the Shadow of Nyx.
"Aurielle, let’s go." Luke gently said to her, not using honey or darling in front of the public.
Aurielle came out of her anger and nodded, before giving one last glare to the smiling Evelyne.
After that, she headed toward the mansion.
Luke watched her go, then turned toward Evelyne and observed her more clearly.
She had some features which matched Aurielle, like her hair.
"You as well." With that he also followed suit, while Evelyne sighed once more, before following them.
***
In the mansion, Evelyne looked at the night clouds through the window.
Her mood was down.
After the initial talk, no one had come to disturb her. And she was now staying inside her old room, which was maintained clean.
She recalled the times where both of them, her sisters and she were good to each other and were happy.
Until that night, the Human Emperor came, who was returning from Stormhowl Mountains, and took a liking to Seraphina.
At that time she was also with her sister, though the Human Emperor didn’t choose her.
The reason she came to know later: Seraphina’s purple eyes.
Yeah, because of a damn purple eye.
Soon 10 years passed and Seraphina returned to the territory with a little Aurielle in her hand, who was at that time around 9 years old.
Her realm was also higher compared to when she was mortal when the Human Emperor took her.
Even though she always felt a little jealous of her sister’s life during those 10 years of Palace.
She was still happy seeing her return to the place where they were born.
As their parents were dead because of a monster tide and they only had each other for support.
Even so she got surprised when she found out that Seraphina had become the lord of the same land.
After that she also helped her with cultivation. But even with all the resources she consumed, she couldn’t reach Bronze Knight, while Seraphina was high at Peak Silver knight.
Soon, she got used to the life of luxury and nobility, where she was attending parties here and there.
Seraphina had warned her many times to stop meeting them, because they were just selfish bastards.
She didn’t know at that time why she held distrust towards them, as to what happened to her in the place.
But Seraphina never told her anything related to the palace.
Later she found out that Seraphina and Aurielle were banished, because Seraphina made some big mistake in the palace, that’s what she heard.
Which she didn’t was truth or false at that time.
Even though they still held their status as the Human Emperor’s wife and Aurielle also held the status of princess,
Though all of that had now became only fake titles.
Which shocked her to the core, as how could this be possible, as how could the Human Emperor allow this.
Still Evelyne couldn’t find more answers related to this.
Soon came the day where calamity struck Blackstone.
Hundreds of thousands of mad beasts and demons came along from the Stormhowl Mountains.
They didn’t know how or when the demons found the way to cross the mountains, but the war of that time, she still remembered.
That how nobody helped them, even after sending hundreds of letters for help to everyone, no one came.
At that she understood why Seraphina distrusted noble’s.
Even though Blackstone repelled the demons, because only weak forces attacked that time,
Still, it cost everything to Blackstone. From that moment, treasury money became less with each day.
Which also affected her noble lifestyle, and she also found out that Blackstone was dying and Seraphina was trying foolishly to hold the territory together.
Then came the worst news, which broke Blackstone’s back.
Seraphina was accused as a traitor, because she let the demon race enter through the Stormhowl Mountains.
As the repelled demons attacked other territories after their unsuccesfull breach at Blackstone, which resulted in thousands of casualties.
Even though soon nobles retaliated and killed all demon invaders,
Seraphina got the tag of traitor, as she couldn’t guard the Stormhowl Mountains border, which came into her territory.
Many voices from the palace officials rose, that Seraphina’s territory was safe because she colluded with demons and let them enter the east side.
No one supported her or defended her. So she was sentenced to life imprisonment, because royalties couldn’t be executed.
Even if she was not born royalty, while Aurielle’s princess status was also removed.
All this time, the Human Emperor did not defend them even once.
Seeing all these, Evelyne became a mentally unstable, which resulted in many corrupted officials entering the territory.
And she couldn’t even properly take care of Aurielle, who was growing without her mother.
So Evelyne chose the road to gamble, to make money, so maybe she could protect the territory which was dying.
And on this, Roland Ashenford helped her a lot.
Although she was not foolish to believe that Roland was helping her completely out of sympathy, she needed help.
So she started attending parties more, which had different gambles among the nobles. Sometimes she won, sometimes she wouldn’t.
She didn’t know when, but she became addicted and even started embezzling the money which was necessary for the territory’s survival.
And today she was regretting all those.
As before, never ever had Aurielle looked at her with those eyes, which only held respect for her.
"Maybe I deserve this." She whispered those words, while imagining the life she had when both her sister and she, were happy with their little house.
At least they were together.
"Seraphina, I miss you." She whispered, as her eyes became moist.
Because when Seraphina was present, she always able to prevent her to become lost.
Only after Seraphina was gone completely did she find how dependent she was on her big sister.
"I miss you, big sister..."
