Chapter 2242 - 2246: The Real Stuff Is All Here
"These bastards, all they know is stuffing their own faces!"
He angrily flicked away the cigarette butt in his hand and crushed it under his foot.

"Lunch is here." Leng Zimo heard his complaining from outside the door and stepped up the stairs. "Madam knew you couldn’t leave this post, so she specifically told me to bring the table up to you."
Adam took the beer, saw Leng Zimo coming over with a tray in his hands, hurried forward to meet him and took the tray. He pinched a piece of meat and tossed it into his mouth; after tasting it, he immediately exclaimed, "This is absolutely amazing!"
Leng Zimo pulled open the ice-beer tab and handed it to him. "Have some cold beer."
It was summer, and at a time like this, an ice-cold beer was pure enjoyment. Adam took the beer and gulped down a big mouthful; a coolness swept through his whole body in an instant. Looking at Leng Zimo again, he found him more and more pleasing to the eye. "You’re the real buddy. Those guys are all assholes."
Leng Zimo smiled. "I brought enough for two. I heard there’s someone else here. If you want, you eat first, I can take the other portion downstairs?"
"No, no, I’ll go myself." Adam waved his hand quickly.
"It’s fine. I’m not hungry anyway, if you’re hungry you eat first." Leng Zimo picked up the tray on the table.
"Really, you can’t." Adam hurriedly stopped him. "If the boss finds out, I’m finished. There are cameras all over in here, and Rome can see them too."
He just took Leng Zimo as trying to help him out, didn’t think much of it, and casually let these secrets slip.
"Okay, then you go in. I’ll keep an eye out here for you." Leng Zimo didn’t insist.
Adam went downstairs with the lunch, while Leng Zimo leaned against a pillar and quietly observed the surroundings. His gaze swept past the surveillance devices mounted on the wall, then he quickly drew his eyes back.
Cameras?
Rome can see them too?!
For Leng Zimo, this information was without a doubt extremely important.
There must be something important on this second floor. Why is Luo Ke so fixated on this place?
Looks like he’ll have to be even more careful about this.
A moment later, Adam came back. Leng Zimo glanced at the keys dangling from his hand.
"Is this enough? If it’s not, I can bring some more roast meat over."
"No, it’s plenty..." Adam stuffed the keys casually into his pocket, still holding the roast meat from the plate.
Watching him toss the empty beer can aside, Leng Zimo took the initiative to pull open a second can and handed it over. "I heard this private island is full of the boss’s prized collections. Are the paintings and antiques in the villa all real?"
"Of course they’re real," Adam lowered his voice. "Let me tell you, that painting in the living room alone is worth more than twenty million."
"Seriously?!" Leng Zimo put on an exaggerated expression.
"Of course. Add up everything on this island, and it’s worth at least a billion." Adam took a sip of beer. "But to the boss, that’s nothing. The most important things on this island aren’t these."
"Then what are they?" Leng Zimo asked curiously.
Adam gave him a sidelong glance and curled his lips. "Those are better left unasked."
Even though he didn’t spell it out, Leng Zimo had little trouble guessing he meant Luo Ke’s criminal evidence, his network of connections across different countries, and all kinds of account records.
As if feeling a bit guilty, Adam spoke again. "Don’t just look at what’s on the surface of this island. Back when it was built, it cost nearly a hundred million. The real stuff is all in here..."
