He lifted his foot and stepped on the ground.
"Underground?" Leng Zimo asked.
"Smart!" Adam gave him a thumbs up.
Could it be that those important qualifications aren’t in the study?!
Leng Zimo pondered quietly, trying to extract more information from Adam. He casually asked Adam about his age, if he was married, and other such questions, quickly steering the conversation to how many years Adam had been on the island.
"I..." Adam thought for a moment, "It’s been about five years, I came here originally as a supervisor."
Leng Zimo felt increasingly fortunate upon hearing this.
If Adam was a supervisor, he must be very familiar with the place. It seemed he had indeed found the right person.
"So, you must be someone Mr. Luo Ke trusts."

When he returned to the villa, the bodyguards had already finished all the food and left. The maids were tidying up the table and looked apologetic when they saw him.
"I’m really sorry, Mr. L, all the food’s gone..."
"It’s alright, I ate at Adam’s," Leng Zimo’s gaze landed on Luo Xiaoqian, who was intentionally staying to help, and he gave her a discreet signal.

"Madam, let Mr. L accompany you for a walk, okay?" The maid asked Luo Xiaoqian in English. Luo Xiaoqian of course did not refuse, and so the two walked towards the door one after the other. Seeing the sun was bright, Leng Zimo deliberately took a parasol from the hall to shield her from the scorching sunlight.
