Age of Adepts

Chapter 0837 - Rayne City

"Arbitration?"

Having just arrived at the Flame Throne, Grim heard the news that surprised him.

"Yes!" Gargamel replied respectfully, "The news is coming from the Scattered Ground Tallinn Association. It's said that that 3rd rank patriarch of the Kamala family has filed a request for arbitration with the Association to resolve the conflict between the two great families with an appointment, and those old guys of the Association have already agreed."

"When their five allied families attacked the Flame Throne, why didn't these old guys run out and arbitrate, but now they've remembered to arbitrate... "Grim's thick eyebrows were knitted, and his young and handsome face showed a hint of gravity.

Grim didn't speak harshly, but that contained but unspoken authority still made Gargamel's heart flinch and his body tilt at a greater angle.

"What did they say?" Grim said bluntly.

"The Kamala family seems to have invited the Association Elders to put pressure on us, and we have already been greeted by two Association Elders to cease our offensive actions in Kamala family territory. The Arbitration Elders have already arrived in Rayne City, so that the heads of our two families can go there for arbitration before June 9!"

June 9?

It's already **** today, so doesn't that mean you're left with only 5 days to prepare. Moreover, that public city of Rayne was over 2,000 miles away from the Flame Throne, and if I hadn't returned from the Johnson's Plane in time, I'm afraid that I wouldn't have been able to find any heavyweights within the family who could represent me in this arbitration!

Grim smiled coldly.

It seemed that the other party had also learned that they were not in the Wizard World before they suddenly implemented this tactic. Once Grim was absent from this arbitration, I'm afraid that they would use even more despicable means to squeeze the war bonuses that the Crimson Family had obtained on the battlefield.

"How is the war going on the front lines?" Grim's heart was moved and couldn't help but ask.

The other family had a powerful 3rd rank wizard, and facing a challenge from the 2nd rank Worm Witch Billis, how could he give up his face to apply for forced arbitration? Is there a change in the battlefield?

The sensitive Grim was the first to think of Billis.

Mentioning the Worm Witch, even this Gargamel who sat at the back of the house immediately gave a thumbs up.

"My lord, this Lord Billis is remarkable! You are unaware...this Lord Billis has been a scourge to the entire Kamala family during your absence...it is said.... "Gargamel swallowed and licked his cracked lips, looking shocked, "Lord Billis had strolled through the entire Kamala family's resource points and mundane territories, and had implanted all of the Sorcerer Apprentices and Full Sorcerers... with a kind of puppet worm. "

"Puppet bugs?"

"I don't know what it's called exactly, I only heard about it from family intelligence. Anyway, the Kamala family steeply lost contact with all the resource points, and sent someone in to check... all the witches and apprentices have all died, and were turned into worm nests by Lord Billis. They are said to have died in a horrible manner...horrible..."

"Where's that 3rd order from Kamala?"

"That 3rd rank sorcerer Yurga of the Kamala Family did come out to block Lord Billis a few times, but in the end, Lord Worm Witch's thousands of incarnations were avoided by him. Therefore, that Yurga was forced to apply for Association Arbitration in a fierce manner... If he were to move any slower, I'm afraid Lord Billis would have to invade their family headquarters!" I could see that Worm Witch Billis' performance in this family war had not only shocked the members of the enemy family, but even Gargamel, the Crimson Chief, was a bit preoccupied.

Grim frowned in thought and finally spoke after a long time.

"Find a way to inform Billis and stop the attacks on the Kamala family! Since the other side has invited the 4th rank wizards, if we act too much, we'll draw the wrath of these old guys. The current Crimson Family can't afford to mess with those 4th rank witches yet!"

"Yes! I'm going to contact Lord Billis..."

With that said, Gargamel hurriedly left.

Mary, who had been listening by the side, chuckled softly, "I can't believe that little worm who trembled at the sight of me has now become a big man. With so many insects under his command, he wouldn't feel bad about dying tens of thousands at a time. If it were any other family, being invaded by a monster like that into their territory, I'm afraid they would have a headache to die... Oh, I do feel sorry for that Yurga wizard now!"

Grim couldn't help but shake his head and laugh.

A guy like Worm Witch Billis would be very difficult to press down once he was allowed to grow. As a 2nd rank witch, his individual combat abilities weren't strong, and he didn't even have many attacking sorceries that he mastered himself. However, for such a character, it was easy to defeat him, but it was difficult to kill him.

When encountering characters stronger than himself, this Worm Witch Billis could easily get away with it as long as he was willing to throw away his car. But to encounter those who were weaker than him, the already nascent team of Bug Generals and the incessant swarm of insects were his weapon of choice.

When his enemies didn't have the means to restrain him, Worm Witch Billis was an almost invincible existence!

At least among 2nd level witches.

If Grim hadn't left a special mark on the Mother Worm he had fused with, even he wouldn't have dared to claim that he could suppress such a powerful 2nd rank wizard.

It was fortunate that Grim still had the means to check and balance Billis, otherwise this Worm Wizard would have fled far away from here and lived a free life without any restrictions.

So at this moment, Grim also intended to send a message to the Worm Wizard through Gargamel to see how the other party felt about his orders. If the other refused to obey the order or went along with it, Grim would have to consider suppressing Worm Witch Billis!

"Let me go! Gargamel is only rank 1, and his orders may not be obeyed by Billis." Mary laughed softly, "That little worm used to be pretty scared of me, I'll go bring him back from the battlefield..."

The Crimson Family was in desperate need of top-notch combat power right now, and Mary obviously didn't want to explode the deep-seated conflicts within the family over some 'minor issues', which was why she had automatically volunteered to 'call back' that Worm Witch Billis.

Grim smiled at Mary and nodded his head slightly, clearly understanding Mary's intentions.

Mary smiled sweetly and stood up from her chair, swaying her slender and delicate waist in a style as she walked out, commanding loudly, "Go, get me Solus, Winsor and the others... I want to see them at half a quarter of an hour!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

Several of the vampires serving behind her hurriedly bowed in response to the order before a cloud of blood mist exploded and disappeared from the scene.

This trip to the Johnson's Bit was short, but it was also very rewarding for Mary.

Seriously speaking, one of the most well-fed from the battle in the Johnson's Seat was Mary, the Blood Queen!

All the 3rd rank orcs that were taken down by Thunder Dragon Ames and Grim together had become her sweet blood food. If it wasn't for her lack of mental strength to initially hold a strong 3rd rank, she would have one or two more 3rd rank vampires under her belt at the moment.

But even so, Mary's strength was now improving by leaps and bounds. To a certain extent, her fighting ability was no longer even weaker than Grim's.

Of course, this referred to the Grim before obtaining the Flame Set.

.................

Rayne City.

This is a beautiful city located on the shores of the Crystal Lake.

The golden sun shone on the rippling surface of the lake, giving people a warm and genial feeling.

Grim, Mary, Billis each riding a scorpion lion, close to the surface of the lake swept past, causing many of the nobles on the lake to pay attention.

"Father father, when I grow up I want to fly in the sky just like the wizard..." a noble boy of about seven or eight years of age looked enviously at the fierce scorpion lion passing over his head, especially when he saw the vague figure of the wizard sitting on his knees, he was even more excited and could not contain himself.

The noble boy's father, a noble man approaching middle age, had a bitter smile on his face.

"Child, that requires talent, not everyone can become a wizard!"

"Talent? What kind of gift?" The boy asked with seeming understanding.

"A talent for becoming a wizard!" The nobleman stroked his hand through the boy's short, soft, light blond curly hair and smiled bitterly, "Without that talent, even if you're smart and work hard... it won't help!"

With that said, a deep sigh drifted over the beautiful lake.

Grim and the others were unaware and unconcerned in the slightest about the little episode that happened below them.

In just two days, they hurried from the Flame Throne to Rayne City.

The three scorpion lions flapped their wide leather-like wings without ceasing to fly high, climbing over a tall city wall, slicing through rows of exquisite and beautiful buildings, and flying swiftly towards the towering Witch Tower.

It was a large fifteen-story witch tower, and at the top of the tower was a huge landing platform, where a number of wizards were descending on flying demons.

The three scorpion lions hunching over Grim let out a sharp roar, and suddenly landed on the first floor of the makeshift wooden platform with a sudden acceleration. The scorpion lion's wildly flapping leather wings as it landed swept up currents of air that nearly blew away the wizard apprentices waiting there, and the young apprentices held the wooden pillars to weather the waves, which led them to a few people at a run.

"We'll be staying here for a few days, so make sure you feed these scorpion lions well..." explained Grim briefly, then threw out a bag of magic crystals and headed to the far entrance of the platform without looking back.

The young apprentice hurriedly received the magic crystals, nodding vigorously and repeatedly.

When he unintentionally lifted his head to lock eyes with the black robe that adorned the end, his heart trembled and he almost let the magic crystal in his hand fall to the ground.

What a terrifying look....

The young apprentice's mind did not become active again until the three strange sorcerers disappeared into the entrance of the Witch Tower.

Black robe, green pupils....

He wouldn't be the one who's been making that Camara family a mess...Lord Worm Witch, would he?

The young apprentice couldn't help but suck in another breath of cold air, even the magic crystals in his arms had become a little trickier!
