Age of Adepts

Chapter 0862 Knowledge and Tasks

Similar to the Trading Hall, the Hall of Knowledge behind the second door and the Hall of Quests behind the third door were both filled with high-ranking sorcerers from all over the Scattered Earth Tallinn.

Some of them concealed their physiques and appearances, while others simply showed their true faces.

Only after a brief probe did Grim suddenly discover that most of the subjects moving around in the Spiritual Illusion were 2nd ranked Sorcerers. This baffled him to no end!

It was only through asking that wizard girl that Grim realized that the minimum threshold to join the Wind of Freedom wasn't 3rd rank, but 2nd rank. As for why Grim had only received the invitation to join at 3rd level, I'm afraid there were some insiders who had blocked it.

This also meant that someone had used their authority and resources to block Free Wind's invitation to Grim when he was advancing to rank 2. It wasn't until Grim advanced to rank 3 that the other party's authority was no longer sufficient to sustain such an operation, and that's when the earlier scene occurred.

To be honest, before entering the Winds of Freedom, Grim was really a little complacent, feeling that the forces and resources he controlled were not weak in the slightest among his peers. But this bit of complacency crashed to pieces in the Trading Hall and the Hall of Knowledge, making him realize once again the richness and breadth of the resources that the old sorcerers had hoarded for centuries, which were in no way comparable to a newcomer like him.

Inside the Hall of Knowledge, one door and one witchcraft knowledge was spread across almost every aspect of the wizard world's rule system. It was just that with Grim's newcomer's authority, he could only read up to Level 2 sorcery knowledge at the highest.

If you want to see 3rd level content, first go and raise your contribution level!

If Grim was able to come up with a piece of 1st order knowledge that hadn't been included in the other party's database, he would receive 100 contribution points, contribute 2nd order knowledge, and be able to get 1000 points, 3rd order knowledge, 10000 points....

But if he wanted to browse and look up the relevant knowledge, he needed 50 points for 1st level knowledge, 400 points for 2nd level knowledge, and 7000 points for 3rd level knowledge. And this was just the basic points, for some special properties or amazingly effective subject knowledge, the points would be increased accordingly.

In the past eight years, the Crimson Family that Grim was a part of had successively annexed three or four small, unimpressive powers in the Alois region. From them, Grim had also acquired some rather interesting knowledge inheritance.

Chip estimated that if these were contributed, they would be able to give Grim about 1400 contribution points in exchange for them.

While this wasn't enough for Grim to acquire some 3rd order knowledge, it was able to obtain some 2nd order knowledge of a basic nature.

This was actually enough for Grim!

After all, with the chip in place, it wasn't difficult to smoothly deduce the content of 3rd order knowledge with the 1st-2nd order basic subjects, the only thing that needed to be spent was just time.

Therefore Grim didn't hesitate to sell this looted knowledge to Free Wind, and used the 1370 contribution points he got in exchange for three 2nd Order Basic Subjects.

The Spiritual Parasite Experiment

Edwin's Notes.

"The Bloody Graveyard.

Among them, the Spiritual Parasite Experiment is a study of high level spirits, and if it is studied thoroughly, Grim's protection against spirits will advance a great deal.

The Edvin's Notes, on the other hand, is a study left behind by a mechanical sorcerer, and contains references to the fusion of human flesh and blood with magical metals, which is useful for the metal titans being created in the Goblin Plane.

The Blood Graveyard is even more of a book that simply introduces the blood-sucking race, and offers some insight and solutions to the blood shackles that exist in the vampire clan. The content may not be entirely correct, but it was still quite useful in resolving the bloodline shackles on Mary.

When Grim, who had almost run out of contribution points, arrived at the quest hall, it was only then that he realized that the methods and means to earn contribution points quickly were originally here.

Here, there were a large number of high level released a bounty quests, the quests almost covered items such as exploring the exotic world, searching for relics, adventuring in the Black Forest, hunting high level demons and so on, and their most basic quest reward was a large number of contribution points.

These quests were also divided into 2nd and 3rd tier according to the level of danger, 2nd tier quests meant that all the creatures that came into contact during the quest completion process were 2nd tier creatures, while 3rd tier quests meant that 3rd tier creatures would be present during the quest.

What Grim didn't expect, however, was that he saw a long list of Tier 4 quests in the quest hall.

He didn't think that those 4th rank witches would come here to take 4th rank quests. This also meant that all the 4th level quests would be completed by a group of 3rd level witches.

Then the dangers inherent in this could be imagined!

........

Seeing this task, Grim couldn't help but smile a little.

It seemed that that deceased Lord Sanaza hadn't been idle all these years and months, and was also wildly improving her strength. The venomous flying dragon bloodline she possessed was somewhat similar to Oliven's devouring dragon physique, and both liked to devour dragons of the same class to improve themselves.

It was just that Oliven came and went, and could swallow any dragon, while Sanaza clearly preferred acidic venomous dragons like the Green Dragon.

As for the secondary alien plane mentioned in Sanaza's quest, it made Grim a little suspicious that it was the knight plane that he had helped the Sarupo family take down. Because as far as he knew, there was a large green dragon colony in that bit.

After the knight's bit was taken over by the witches, the green dragon colony would most likely be forced to exit that bit. It was also very likely if one or two green dragons were left to hide and give birth inside. After all, a female green dragon in the waiting period rashly crossing the spatial rift also carried a huge risk!

Just why Sanaza abandoned her companions within the family and chose to recruit witches from the outside world was a bit difficult to understand.

After briefly understanding the characteristics of this mental illusion, only then did Grim completely retreated and put away the circular mirror properly.

The round mirror was his tool to connect to the spiritual illusion, and the best place to enter the spiritual illusion was his own private witch tower. Only in the private witch tower could the round mirror receive a constant supply of magical energy to support Grim's spiritual consciousness to move around inside the illusion.

If Grim chose to enter the illusion in the wilderness, on one hand, safety would be a big problem, and on the other hand, his own elemental depletion would be enormous.

As for in the foreign realm, without the support of the information exchange tower, it would be impossible to connect to the mental illusion.

For such a sorcery item, Grim would not be addicted to it.

At the end of the day, this Free Wind was only using the sharing of knowledge, resources, and intelligence to organize the high ranked witches into one. As for its actual ability to control it, it would depend on the means and organizational abilities of those 4th ranked witches behind it.

.............

Seal Room.

Almost every day at a fixed time, Grim would take the time to come here to 'visit' an old friend.

In the halls of the Seal Room, the 3rd rank vampire Hynes Vick was trapped in a huge floating light array by dense translucent silver chains, completely unable to move.

On top of his bare chest, a finger-thin hollow silver tube pierced his heart, from which drops of sticky, dark purple blood slowly flowed out. Under the light burst, an earthenware jar the size of a man's head was bearing the old vampire's outflow of heart blood, and was distantly close to overflowing.

Grim waved distantly and took the pot into his hand, closed the lid, and quickly drew a sealing rune on it, before he carefully put it into the storage ring. But then he whirled around and pulled out a new earthenware jar, placing it underneath Hynes.

After this was done, Grim didn't leave, but pulled out a blood glowing crystal and shook it at the old vampire.

"Sir Hynes, it's time for you to feed again!"

Hynes grunted, not even bothering to open his eyes, much less glance at the blood crystal.

Trapped in the Flame Throne Witch Tower for over ten years, he had survived to this point by hanging on to this blood crystal. But how much better than death could it be to live in such pain?

He didn't think the other party had any scruples about not killing him until now, and the most likely reason was for that damned bitch* man....

The reason why he was alive was the food that this male witch left to Mary, the bitch*.

When Mary had saved enough blood energy to reach the peak of the 2nd rank, I'm afraid that time would be the end of her life.

This is how Lester died, having achieved that Mary's 2nd rank.

And he would die an even more miserable death and become the sacrifice for that Mary to advance to the 3rd stage.

At the thought of such an ending, Hynes Vick could not wait to end his life immediately, never giving the enemy a chance to advance with his bones on his pillow.

Unfortunately, the weak body was always difficult to counteract the powerful seal imprisoning power of the Witch Tower.

Usually, Hynes was always in a state of dull consciousness and depression. Only when this terrifying demon arrived would he use a special method to wake himself up, and then torture him a little bit with the most brutal torture.
