Age of Adepts

0928 Chapter 0928 - Above the Flight Deck

The power of a 3rd rank wizard was no longer something that could be easily described by pen and ink.

Despite being attacked by a group of dragons in turn, the heavily armed Grim was still alive and well.

The three Level 3 dragons that were following him were the Silver Dragon Alfred, the Shadow Dragon Atlant and the Water Dragon Dominion. Among the three dragons, only Silver Dragon Alfred was able to barely keep up with Grim's flashing speed, while Shadow Dragon Atlantis and Water Dragon Dominir were not good at flying, so they were left far behind.

After a period of fruitless chasing, the three dragons briefly discussed that the silver dragon would continue to chase after Grim, avoiding the other party from having time to kill the low-level dragons. The Shadow Dragon and Water Dragon, on the other hand, turned their bodies and pounced on the cruising mothership not far away.

Since the start of the battle, the force field barrier held up by the cruising mothership had blocked countless dragon spits, and there were also some visible damages on it.

Some Level 2 dragons swarmed in, rushing onto the huge flight deck of the cruising mothership. And here, the hordes of metal magic weapons and the densely packed fixed turrets made them suffer enough.

But the most thrilling thing for them was the strange puppet that was bursting with magical flames all over its body, but had a pair of steel bones and bones. It combined the elemental attack of a magical creature with the strength of a metal structure, and could strike from both near and far, flipping the two stage 2 dragons to the ground, breaking their bones and dragging them into the belly of the ship.

Only then did the dragons suddenly wake up to the fact that this... this was a Tier 3 magic weapon!

With such a tough guy guarding the flight deck and the entrance to the ship's belly, it would be difficult for those low and mid-tier dragons to get past the 3rd-tier magic weapon that was in the midst of the dense gunfire save.

"You stall it, I'll break in and take a look..." the Shadow Dragon Atlant roared lowly, and its entire body suddenly exploded into black smoke and disappeared without a trace.

Its companion, the water dragon Dominion, on the other hand, roared loudly and rushed towards the elemental magic weapon.

Water Dragons, also known as White Dragons, belonged to the Water Dragons and were naturally adept at harnessing and manipulating the water element.

The ice dragon that Grim had hunted, on the other hand, was just a variant and branch of the water dragon.

Seriously speaking, water dragons weren't really good at fighting, and their physical* strength wasn't that great compared to fire dragons, earth dragons, and other dragon genera. But much like the magical properties of the water element, water dragons are especially good at spewing mist and retarding opponents.

Such habits usually gave them the right to attack first in battle!

So as soon as the Water Dragon Dominion rushed onto the flight deck of the cruising mothership, large clouds of mist-like water vapor spread out from its diamond-like body, clinging to the metal deck and rapidly spreading in all directions. And its massive body immediately became almost transparent, completely blending into the mist.

Grimace....

A dozen energy rays and five energy fireballs swiftly sliced through the location where the water dragon stayed without touching any entities. The huge fireball bursts formed by the fireballs were also unable to cause elemental tremors like before, and after the firelight flickered, it surprisingly dimmed strangely quickly.

Just like a tidal firecracker, the initial movement was oddly loud, but in the end, only a muffled fart remained.

However, just when the crowd was in a state of uncertainty, at the edge of the mist, the water dragon, whose skin, flesh and scales were almost transparent, suddenly emerged and swept its tail on top of a metal turret fixed at the edge of the deck.

In a loud explosion, this metal turret instantly mute, the entire metal skeleton and magic cannon twisted and distorted beyond recognition.

Grimace....

Another series of magical energy rays and energy fireballs ricocheted in.

But that 3rd-rank water dragon twisted its body and disappeared into the mist in a flash.

The next time it appeared, it appeared again at the edge of the other end of the fog, straight into a small group of metal magic weapons, mouth tearing claw pat, giant foot crushing, coupled with the dragon tail swing. It only took six or seven fingers to dismantle the five metal weapons, smashing them into a pile of scrap metal.

It was only then that the water dragon turned around and dodged into the mist against the intense energy rays and fireball bombardment, and disappeared again a moment later.

Even Meryl, who had always considered herself calm and collected, was now cursing at the command hall of the cruising mothership. Under her loud urging and cursing, a dense wave of detection and life scans, as well as a multitude of weird sorcery waves that were hard to describe one by one, quickly swept through the vast fog without perceiving or discovering any traces of it.

Silently, an inconspicuous metal cabin on the flight deck suddenly opened, and a rank 1 Crimson Sorcerer peeked out half of his body and ripped open seven Sorcery Scrolls in one breath.

Wind Creation!

Tornado!

Doomsday Storm!

........

The 1st to 3rd level wind sorceries were all available, each one of them being the most powerful and effective one.

Unfortunately, this huge mist that was spreading across the entire flight deck was like lead casting, allowing the various tornadoes and winds to rage, but it could only tear or disperse the mist in some areas. When the gale died down, the water mist from all directions closed in again, turning the area into fog again.

Seeing no success, the crimson wizard turned around and tried to flee.

But when the fog shook the metal chamber, a transparent water dragon emerged and slapped its claws against the translucent force field protection outside the chamber.

The strong claws of the dragon crushed the translucent force field protection into a deep dent, and the sharp claw tips even pierced through the protection and cut dazzling sparks and deep claw marks on the metal compartment.

Without this layer of force field protection held up by the cruising mothership, even if that Crimson Witch had added more defensive sorcery to it, it would be useless. Knocked flying by the violent impact on the metal bulkhead inside the cabin, the Crimson Sorcerer spewed blood as he fought to escape into the hull of the ship.

As the Water Dragon Dominion's elongated tail swept viciously over the metal bulkhead, it was smashed into iron cakes amidst an ear-piercing creak.

But the crimson wizard had managed to escape!

Taking advantage of the moment when the Water Dragon Dominion was frantically attacking the metal cabin, the Elemental Magic Armament that had been moving back and forth above the flight deck looking for traces of the enemy, propelled by the violent stream of flames, quickly rushed over. Before the heavy metal iron fist had arrived, the violent magical energy had already swept over the water dragon's body.

Looking at the orientation of the elemental magic weapon's penetration, it was obvious that it wanted to cut off the water dragon's retreat and prevent it from returning to the mist.

The water dragon Dominion clearly also wanted to lure the elemental magic weapon away from the main entrance of the flight deck, so it didn't rush back into the mist, but instead swung its body and sprayed a mouthful of transparent water into the raging magical energy.

The two magical energies with vastly different properties continued to intersect in midair, triggering a fierce elemental martyrdom.

In an earth-shattering wave of elements, one dragon and one magic weapon rapidly approached each other while fighting across the air.

Knock, knock, knock....

With a continuous burst of vigorous energy, the Elemental Demonic Armament's steel fists continued to blast at the wave shield on the water dragon's surface, striking water splashes and ripples. The water dragon, on the other hand, lowered its head, stabbing and punching wildly against the Elemental Demonic Armament with the sharp, pointed dragon horns at the top of its skull.

The two of them tumbled and fought wildly on the flight deck as the two iron fists gripped the dragon's horns.

For a while, the dragon roared and roared, and the entire flight deck was stirred to the ground, making it difficult to rest.

And just when one dragon and one magic weapon were competing with each other, the main entrance of the flight deck of the cruiser mothership opened up, from which rushed out a number of up to 30 metal magic weapons. They were rapidly approaching the battlefield while firing wildly at the water dragon.

Under their interference, the water dragon was overwhelmed, and the situation was somewhat tilted towards the elemental magic weapons in a moment.

But outside of everyone's perception, a strange shadow power that no one could perceive was slowly flowing in the shadows beneath a metal turret on the flight deck.

The Shadow Dragon Atl looked around the battlefield and hesitated.

At this time, it would definitely be able to help establish a bit of an advantage if it went to help the Water Dragon Dominion. However, the best option right now was actually to break into this huge metal ship and kill each and every one of those human sorcerers hiding inside.

This... was the true meaning of today's battle!

Having figured this out, the Shadow Dragon turned its head towards the main entrance of that portal, and with a slight movement of the Shadow Power within its body, its body suddenly came from the shadows of the metal turrets to beneath a human sorcerer nearest to the main entrance.

Right now, that main entrance to the inside of the metal ship was close at hand, and as long as it exerted a struggle and crashed through that translucent force field protection outside the other party's door, it would be able to make its way in.

Thinking that most of the opponent's main force had already left, only some shrimps and crabs were left inside, and no one was able to stop their own crazy killing, Shadow Dragon Atlantis' heart couldn't help but beat violently with a bang.

Prepare for...impact....

However, as the Shadow Dragon went all out to prepare for impacting the force field protection, the human sorcerer it was hiding behind suddenly bowed his head and smiled faintly at the shadow beneath him.

That smile was so beautiful and so radiant that Atl was in a trance for a moment.

This 2nd rank human sorceress was so beautiful looking!

Is she smiling at me?

Two thoughts in quick succession came to Atlantis' mind, but in an instant it snapped to alert.

No...she's found me....

To be honest, before the shadow jump, Shadow Dragon Atlantis had already scanned the entire cruising mothership with its pervasive and unpredictable mental perception and had not found any life form that could threaten it.

That was why it had jumped over with confidence and wanted to charge into the interior of the mothership.

As for the sorceress it had chosen, she was only a 2nd stage minor character, and the elemental fluctuations in her body were almost imperceptible, so she shouldn't be able to threaten it in the slightest.

But the scene in front of it creeped it out, faintly detecting a hint of a trap!

Immediately and without hesitation, Shadow Dragon Atlantis exploded with full force....
