Age of Adepts

Chapter 1239 - Collision of Laws

At a level like Grim and Olivia's, it's hard for ordinary data to portray the power and awesomeness of their battles!

Even if they were both 4th ranked witches, whether or not they had mastered some kind of bit law, as well as the depth of the bit law they had mastered, all became huge leverage to pull the layers of power between witches.

Olivia was able to drive the Gravity Aura so skillfully, her special trait undoubtedly played a decisive role. And while Grim's mastery of the Flame Law was not as sublime as Olivia's gravity control, the parsing and application of the Law level was clearly superior to the other.

Seriously speaking, both of them had initially grasped the power of the corresponding Laws, and they were already considered leaders within the entire group of 4th level witches!

Therefore the clash of laws caused by such a battle between two 'half-rule sorcerers' became more and more obvious.

The entire surface of the huge lake had been completely overturned by the burning flames and the strange black and white gravity rings. The two forces could be seen clashing with each other at almost any corner, and the law tremors they triggered had initially rewritten the law properties of this space.

On the battlefield, any flame, any aura became so dangerous and tyrannical. Often times, the strange mutations caused by the law tremors caused the flames to become less like flames and the aura to become less like an aura.

Even if the two originators were personally present, I'm afraid they would not dare to touch these 'things' that they had cast with their own hands, but had now become completely different!

Olivia's gravity aura is unpredictable, absorbing or repelling, just two simple, uncomplicated sorcery effects, but she's hardwired to play dazzling tricks.

For Grim's long-range attacks, Olivia could use the repulsive nature of the Gravity Aura to deflect the attacking sorcery to one side, or simply disrupt the internal model of the sorcery, causing it to collapse halfway through. For Grim's melee attacks, Olivia even plays with the gravity aura's adsorption and repulsion properties to the extreme.

When Grim gets an opportunity to attack, she uses the repulsion feature to push him far away. And when Olivia's own attack is ready, she is able to use the adsorption feature to pull Grim to his feet.

This manipulation of the battlefield space using the Gravity Aura feature is capable of driving her enemies insane!

If her enemy wasn't Grim, she would have really been spared the madness of being rubbed against the ground by its pressure.

But Grim's combat skills and tactics were no slouches either.

The combination of multiple flame laws and the precise casting of powerful flame sorceries also made Grim a fearsome fire battery that no one dared to mess with. Although most of his attacks were deflected or strangled, the aftermath of the powerful firepower still inflicted terrible damage on Olivia.

Taking advantage of a flaming leap, Grim once again escaped the grip of his gravity aura and came into Olivia's immediate vicinity. Immediately, without hesitation, the Dragon's Breath Technique went off without a hitch, and a cone of flame that covered the 120-degree sector in front of it swept overwhelmingly towards Olivia.

Such a large area of flame sorcery couldn't be defended against by one or two gravity auras alone.

Olivia linked her hands, pulling out a white aura with one hand to push herself backwards, and condensing a black and white coagulated gravity aura with the other hand to hit the depths of the flames like a cannonball.

The tumbling, crashing flames frantically pursued Olivia's retreating body, and the tongues of fire extending from the tip of the flames even threatened to lick the corners of her fluttering skirt. The extreme heat and terrifying flames caused Olivia's long skirt, which was not protected by witchcraft, to burst into flames with a few bang, and a deep, suppressed grunt was immediately heard from the battlefield.

The gravity cannonball that Olivia had inspired was also like a boulder smashing into the water, breaking through the oncoming flames and blasting directly on top of Grim's body. Grim was in no hurry to dodge, and his entire left arm was instantly crushed and strangled into a rain of fire by the flashing gravity cannonball.

With a muffled grunt, Grim dodged to the side, and the flame energy in his body surged out from the broken stump of his arm, quickly growing a new flame arm. Only in color, this new arm was a little brighter and more fragile than the rest of his body.

Ever since the war began, Grim had transformed himself directly into a body of flame.

This way, the body was also free of the defects of flesh and blood, and even if individual parts were defective, they could be quickly repaired back with flame energy.

And this was one of the main reasons why elemental sorcerers all liked to elementalize their bodies!

There was a loud thud.

Olivia, covered in a black and white gravitational aura, burst out of the flames, her long skirt burned out with a hole, revealing the same charred skin beneath.

"Bastard, how dare you injure my body..." snarled Olivia angrily, "You made me do it!"

The golden ring above her head fluoresced and flowed down like a film of light, quickly covering her in a purple leather armor. And a strange magic wand that was only half a meter long also suddenly appeared in her hand.

After being fully armed, Olivia's momentum immediately soared, and every time the wand in her hand clicked at Grim, it would shoot out a series of gravitational aura, flying towards Grim's body like a trap.

Grim didn't dare to slow down, and waved the wand in his hand repeatedly.

Fireballs in a row....

Red Flame Storm....

Holy Light Correction....

A series of flame sorceries mixed with the skills on the equipment met in a single stream, and the two strange forces washed together on the surface of the lake, immediately creating a terrifying elemental storm there.

Both the Flame Law and the Gravity Law were an important part of the interior of the bit.

And their clashing and cross-exciting with each other also made the basic laws of this space become chaotic and dangerous.

Visible to the naked eye, all sorts of strange illusions spread out from the interplay of forces and drifted off in all directions.

As the parties involved, both Grim and Olivia were genuinely terrified of these illusions and hurriedly dodged elsewhere to avoid being entangled in these psychedelic light bands.

These psychedelic light bands were actually the fragments of power that had spilled out after the foundation laws of bitspace had been broken, and since they had mutated, it was impossible for them to be absorbed back in. And this kind of mutated power was simply poison and a source of pollution to the two's already increasingly pure power system.

If they allowed themselves to be entangled in this mutated power, I'm afraid that the subsequent purification would cost the two of them tremendous heart power and massive resources. What's worse, it would deplete the two's precious Law comprehension time!

At the time of the initial battle, the encounter between the two had not been intense.

The layers of power drive were also limited to the elemental level, and didn't involve more than the power of law.

But when the two of them fought true fire, the power drive became more and more enormous, and the power levels went up.

The entire battlefield became a barely coherent clash of laws!

In this way, the collision of the power of the Laws had also caused numerous horrific wounds to this lake that were difficult to repair.

The confusing and illusory fragments of laws and the twisting and drifting spatial fissures filled almost all of the space above and below the water. This also forced the two participants to be more vigilant, fighting ferociously while carefully dodging these drifting 'minefields'.

At this point, it also reflected the value of the chip in Grim's mind.

Grim could completely fight with all his might, while the perception of the battlefield situation and the prediction of the battlefield's direction were all given to the chip to control.

All 'minefields', all traps, were marked by the chip with different colored dots of light. The main targets of the opponent's attacks, and the power wave areas were marked out in different colors.

Grim could neutralize nearly 80% of the opponent's attack power by avoiding a single red dot, avoiding the blood** domain, and keeping himself in the safe green** domain at all times.

Of course, above the battlefield, the so-called 'safe' and 'dangerous' areas were also dynamic and relative.

Olivia wasn't a battlefield rookie, but a fearsome powerhouse with a reputation as a torturing witch!

Her powerful gravity control allows her to manipulate the changes in gravity within a given space as she wishes. Within the reach of her power, there was no such thing as a safe place. Moreover, the 'safe zone' marked out by the chip had actually reached a terrifying level of energy levels within it.

It was just that such energy damage was unable to affect Grim's subsequent battles for the time being!

"Is that your power? It's really quite good..." said Olivia coldly as she held up a huge gravity aura in front of her, blocking out Grim's stormy attacks, "But if you only have this much power, it's probably not enough to take advantage of me! ......."

However, before her voice fell, the flame sorceries that had flown in front of the gravity aura suddenly self-destructed all together.

In the past, the flame sorceries were all aimed at Olivia, so they were easily intercepted halfway by her gravity aura, and their full power wasn't used. But this time, Grim directly targeted the flame sorcery at her gravity aura, and the full power of the firestorm that erupted immediately triggered terrifying consequences.

Olivia's face suddenly changed and she hurriedly retreated quickly, but the rapidly erupting flame storm quickly filled every inch of space in the area.

The gravitational aura was very useful, but there were still gaps!

Powerful flame power seeped in through the gaps in the multiple gravity aura and attacked Olivia who was retreating in a wild roll. The beautifully styled purple leather armor on her body immediately emitted a hazy purple glow, condensing into a strange layer of elemental armor.

The Elemental Armor and the Flame Force clashed together.

Although the Flame Force was crowded out and didn't cause any new burns to Olivia, she also took terrible concussion damage from the two massive forces hitting her.

She was, after all, only an elemental witch, and witches' physiques were generally a little inferior to those of male witches.

Thus, she was desperately trying to resist the advancing flames while frantically vomiting blood....
