Age of Adepts

Chapter 1245 - Tough Negotiations

Inside a special chamber.

Grim finally sat down calmly and began to conduct a real negotiation with that Domnall wizard.

"Your Excellency Grim, is it possible that you came to our east this time just for that Light Flame God Stone?" Domnall, as the master, was naturally the first to speak up.

Although there was only one Domnall in the secret room, Grim could clearly perceive that his body carried the attention of at least twenty mysterious wills. It could be politely said that apart from some of the Association Elders who had important matters or were trapped in a different dimension, the rest of the 4th Order Sorcerers were all paying attention to the negotiations within the chamber in various ways.

"Since arriving at your place, I have come to deeply feel the strong and thriving momentum of the Witchcraft Association. The knowledge here, the exotic waymarks, the exotic slaves, and the high level resources are all things I am interested in. But before we talk about them, I'd rather finalize that Light Flame God Stone..." although Grim was alone, he did not lose a single point in terms of momentum.

"There is currently only such a Light Flame God Stone in the Association's hands, I wonder what price Your Excellency is willing to pay to acquire it?"

"I seem to remember that this Light Flame God Stone is in the hands of that Olivia..."

"Your Excellency doesn't have to worry about that. That Light Flame Divine Stone was originally given to Olivia as a quest reward, and as long as Your Excellency agrees to our conditions, I will naturally have a way to get her to hand it over!" Domnall squinted his eyes tightly, looking sly and deceitful.

Grim chanted for a moment and finally spoke again.

"Lord Domnall should know that I have in my possession some special mushrooms from a different realm that can improve the physical aptitude of witches to a certain extent, and are also effective for 4th rank witches... If Your Excellency is willing to give up that Light Flame God Stone, I can offer a trio of special mushrooms in exchange! "

"Some resources to improve the physical aptitude of a sorcerer are just resources, not worth the importance we place on Your Excellency!" That Domnall Shaman couldn't help but say proudly, "Our Shaman Association has been established for tens of thousands of years, and we have quite a few similar Shaman resources as well. Not only this kind of physical aptitude enhancement, but even the resources to enhance talent potential we don't lack here..."

Grim's brow furrowed, and he couldn't help but get a little nervous.

If it had been someone else, Grim would have thought that the other party was blowing a magic snail in order to bargain. But in the face of this old man who had lived for thousands of years, Grim sincerely believed that everything the other party said was the truth.

With the huge size of the Sorcerer's Association and tens of thousands of years of accumulated resources, wouldn't it be a laughing stock if he said that the Association didn't even have this much heritage within it? It was just that such items were strategic resources, and the three major wizard organizations would not easily let them flow into the hands of competitors without running out of steam.

And Grim and his Crimson Family were still too poor, otherwise they wouldn't have taken out such resources to exchange with outsiders.

"So... what does your lordship want?" Grim asked quietly.

"I want you!" Domnall twirled his hand around the sparse beard under his jaw and spoke leisurely.

"Want me?"

"Yes, as long as Your Excellency is willing to join our Sorcerer's Association, I can make the decision to give this Light Flame Divine Stone to Your Excellency as a meeting gift!"

Grim narrowed his eyes and smiled casually, "My lord, you should know that I'm still an elder of the Scattered Earth Tallinn Association!"

"The elder of the Scattered Tallinn Society..." repeated Grim's answer, and Domnall almost laughed, "Your Excellency wants to insist on that, but I wonder if that Freed will or won't! "

He laughed even more loudly!

Amidst the other party's arrogant and long laughter, Grim's face first had a few indignant moments, then a hint of embarrassment, and finally a gloomy sigh of silence.

It was not to blame the other party for his sarcasm, the current Grim was in the middle of the continent, and his position in the Scattered Earth Tallinn was indeed somewhat awkward. For the past eighty years, he had latently endured, partly because he wanted to slowly recover from the trauma to his soul, and partly because he was worried about continuing to irritate the central sorcerers who had become alarmed.

If it wasn't for forming an 'ally' with the Flame King this time and obtaining the means to refine and purify the fire of the Laws, he would never have been able to come out of his hiding place and reappear in the public eye.

The only thing he relied on to get out of the mountain this time was the Fire God Pearl that was already initially under his control.

It was with this origin sorcery of a rank as high as rank 5 that Grim was able to overpower Olivia, making it resentful but helpless.

"Since we are both willing to talk openly and honestly, Your Excellency will not lie with falsehoods. Your Excellency's position is now very awkward in the middle of the continent, and it can be said that you are in a dilemma. If you really want to unify the entire Diaspora Tallinn, I'm afraid the internal backlash alone would be fierce, not to mention our three major organizations. Does Your Excellency really have the confidence to suppress the combined backlash of those dozen or so witches?"

"It's just that Your Excellency has survived a few years and the family is a bit stronger. When you really have the power to unify the central part of the country, at that time, does Your Excellency think that our three major organizations will still sit back and watch you do this?"

A difficult silence from Grim.

"I heard that your Excellency's family already has four strong people, you, Mary, Alice, and a powerful thunder dragon from a different realm... Such power in time is indeed not to be underestimated. But to be compared to our Sorcerer's Association, it's still not worth mentioning."

"Instead of accomplishing nothing under the constraints of those mediocre talents, Your Excellency would be better off coming to our Sorcerer's Association. At least here, we have a much wider world at Your Excellency's disposal. Moreover, our Sorcerer's Association's knowledge and resource reserves are far better than the other two major organizations, and it's even a heaven and an underground compared to the Scattered Earth Tallinn."

"If Your Excellency still wants to advance to the 5th rank, coming to our Sorcerer Association is undoubtedly the wisest choice!"

Although this Domnall Vice Chairman's battle prowess was unknown, this eloquence and insight was first-rate. Even with Grim's steadfast heart, he was shaken by its encouragement for a while, and even his mind was a little trance-like.

However, at this moment, Grim's mind suddenly sounded the chip's cold, clear tone in his head.

"Perceiving the presence of a strange mental force field... Estimated efficacy is mental rendering, which can make it easier for the target to believe the wielder's verbal offensive... Please put the subject on alert!"

Damn, it's actually a spirit supernatural technique...no wonder I'm getting a little thumped up by his persuasion.

Grim cursed angrily as he drummed up the Flame Law and guarded his heart and soul tightly.

On his appearance, no other changes could be seen other than a strange flame rune suddenly igniting deep within the black pupils of his eyes.

Domnall, who had been keeping a close eye on Grim, had already self-consciously imported the other man's mind into his preset orbit, and was about to strike while the iron was hot to finalize things, when the strangely ignited flame rune suddenly burned a huge hole in his mental web that was as dense as a spider's web.

Domnall's mind was shocked, and he too instantly lost the guidance and control of Grim's mind.

"Lord Domnall, thank you for your concern for me!" Grim's eyes burned with a cold smile, "I'm currently living well in the middle of the continent, and I have no plans to move to the east for the time being. So, let's talk about the specifics of the deal!"

Ahem....

Seeing that the other party's mind was already out of the grip of his mental abilities, Domnall could only sigh regretfully and pile a smile back onto his face.

"Since your Excellency has no intention of coming to our Sorcerer's Association, we will not force you. Then this deal will have to be business as usual! Ten million magic crystals, plus the seeds for those special mushrooms and all the cultivation techniques."

As soon as Domnall's words were out of his mouth, loud protests from Olivia, the torturing witch, rang out in the mind network linked behind him.

"Olivia, this is a matter of interest to all the elders of the Association, so you can't be allowed to make a fool of yourself here. Wouldn't you want more than anything to keep your brother alive for a few more years? Fine, I can make the decision and send a conquering army to attack that elven kingdom and take the Tree of Life from them. I think, with the Tree of Life to sacrifice, it won't be a problem for your brother to live for another hundred years. How about that, so you've got nothing to say!"

Compared to a Tree of Life from a medium level Elf Kingdom and a 5th level Divine Egg, it was still naturally inferior. However, Olivia also knew that this was already the greatest concession the old man could make, a condition she couldn't refuse.

Olivia clenched her teeth and said sternly, "That team will be led by me personally. My brother can't survive a few more years and can't tolerate them slowly invading there!"

"Deal!"

A few flippant words from two top-ranked sorcerers here could start a bloody war in some foreign realm. And the initial motive for all of this turned out to be nothing more than to keep a certain 4th ranked witch's loved ones alive for a few more years!

Knowing nothing about the negotiations and deals behind Domnall, Grim frowned deeply and also pondered deeply about the other party's conditions.

Ten million magic crystals... hand over all the exotic mushrooms....

These two conditions stacked on top of each other would also be an unbearable weight for the current Crimson Family! Even Grim, when he wanted to make such a decision that would affect the future of the Crimson Family at every turn, he had to think through all kinds of consequences.

Finally, a quarter of an hour later, Grim removed a strangely shaped ring from his right ring finger and held it on the solemn face, "This is the Soden Holy Ring, I got it from a 4th rank treasure from a Paladin's place, it can purify its own power into attributeless holy light power. I'll use it to offset some magic crystals, no problem, right?"

With that, Grim fed the power of flame into the Soden Sacred Ring, immediately gathering a shield of holy light and holy light arrows in front of him.

For no reason, Domnall's eyebrows jumped, and the Jeradin wizard's low roar rang out in his mind.

"I'll take this ring, old man, take it for me!"

Seeing the slight change in Domnall's eyes, Grim finally had a smile on his face.
