Age of Adepts

Chapter 1263 - Cold Bone Dragon Naxx

It's a bizarrely shaped dragon!

Obviously it had a huge skeleton similar to a skeleton dragon, but among the bone joints, among the huge chest and abdominal cavities, among the tiny holes of the bone wing membranes, everywhere was filled with a blue, icy cold freezing gas.

The glittering frost wrapped most of the bones inside, but strangely did not have any effect on the dragon's movement, as if the ice cubes that were stronger than steel were all illusory.

The combination of the mighty might of the giant dragon and the all-pervasive power of the cold ice was what condensed into the super terrifying cold ice dragon in front of him!

"Why an undead dragon?" Grim frowned, "I remember the Ice Dragon was also supposed to be a flesh and blood creature. Where's the flesh and blood on it?"

In the Lance Plane, although the 4th rank ice dragon Grim had never seen, there were quite a few 1st and 2nd rank ice dragons that had slaughtered. And those ice dragons were invariably flesh and blood creatures, not undead ah!

"This aptly shows that the Ancient Winter Casket is in its possession." The Witch Demon Kangenas Scarlet Soulfire distantly looked through a distance of nearly a thousand meters at the Ice Dragon that was high up within the temple and coldly said, "It may have been a flesh and blood dragon in the past, but after coming into contact with the Ancient Winter Box for a long time, the flesh and blood on its body will inevitably be eroded away by it. Don't you forget that the Ancient Winter Casket can possess the rules of death and ice."

After hearing the Witch Demon's explanation, Grim immediately came to a realization.

As expected, everything had its pros and cons!

This Ice Dragon was greedy for the Ice Rule within the Ancient Harsh Winter Box, and once it absorbed the power within, its flesh and blood would inevitably be eaten away by the Death Rule. This was a high level Death Rule! Flesh and blood that had been eaten by it was simply impossible to be reborn again with the power of recovery.

This cold ice dragon had now been completely transformed by the power of death, becoming a cold bone dragon that possessed the dual laws of cold ice and death.

It was now a complete and utterly undead dragon!

"Humble and greedy invaders, I smell in you the cry of the dead and grumbling souls of the Ice Kingdom. Your deeds will be punished by fate! I will freeze you in ice and erect you at the entrance of the palace as a warning to those who don't know what's coming..."

The Ice Bone Dragon raised its body high, and the azure wings contracted behind it spread out directly. The glowing strange runes and coiling dense cold Qi filled its entire body, looking from afar like an exquisite work of art wrapped in a mass of blue light.

"Hmph, big words!" The Witch Demon couldn't help but say sarcastically, "If I'm right, you should be trying to incorporate that Ancient Harsh Winter Casket into your soul, right?"

"Bastards, you guys really did come for that thing..." the Ice Bone Dragon roared loudly, and from its wide open mouth gushed out large clouds of extreme cold freezing gas, causing the temperature within the temple to drop straight down by as much as a hundred degrees once again.

"The Ancient Harsh Winter Casket however possesses the rules of both death and cold, and you wanted to incorporate it into your soul in order to advance to the 5th level. But you underestimated its power and overestimated yourself. In order to successfully merge it, you even went so far as to transform yourself into an undead creature... Jie Jie, it really is ruthless enough!" The Witch Demon said coldly, "Now that we're here, just be sensible and hand it over! Otherwise..."

Perhaps completely enraged by the Witch Demon's words, the Ice Bone Dragon roared harshly for a while and slumped down with a rumbling, heavy pace and rushed over to the five-man squad.

"Sand King, Snake Girl, you guys block it!" The sharp voice of the Wraith Kanganus rang out instantly. And it even took a few steps back and began windily chanting the magic spell that opened the dead space.

"Damn it, this guy's block is too big!" The Sand King hissed and roared, "I'll block it for a dozen flexes at most... you're on your own after that!"

With that said, the Sand King's body shook, and a large amount of earthy yellow smoke was extracted from the ice peak beneath it and poured into it. Its original insect body, which was no more than five meters, instantly expanded like a blow-up balloon, transforming into a giant insect that was twelve or thirteen meters long and crashed into the Ice Bone Dragon.

The Ice Bone Dragon's tail was thirty-five meters long, and its size was several times larger than the Sand King.

Therefore, the collision of the two big guys was like a comet hitting the earth, instantly setting off a terrifying violent hurricane in the center of the palace. Where the ripples of power curled, the few nearby top ice pillars and the clusters of ice everywhere immediately exploded into the sky and ice debris, being swept by the violent hurricane and rushed in all directions.

The lighter serpent girl hadn't even gotten close to the battlefield before being impacted by the storm, relying on her snake tail coiling around an icicle to barely stabilize her form.

The Star Spirit was rather odd, with three strange shields of shimmering light floating around its body, enveloping itself in them. Its own body, on the other hand, was crouched on top of the ice, soaring out one strange rune after another from its body.

One by one, these runes seemed to possess strange powers that outsiders couldn't understand, as if they were birds leaving the nest and flying towards the azure cold mane in the depths of the hurricane.

And Grim was also rapidly holding an incantation to cast a spell, and as the syllables of the incantation rose, a huge door of light made purely of flame condensed emerged and slowly opened.

In the next moment, a tidal wave of flame creatures rushed out and rushed towards the Ice Bone Dragon as Grim drove them towards it.

"Alright...watch me!" At almost the same moment, the necromantic space of the Witch Demon Kanganus opened.

A strange skeletal gate condensed in the air, and as it opened, a well-ordered army of elite necromancers appeared before everyone.

At the front of the queue was a group of terrifying ghouls that numbered up to two hundred.

Their slippery, sticky bodies had no skin on the surface, directly revealing the thick, tough muscle fibers beneath. Their rickety bodies were crawling on the ground, and the raised spines on their backs were covered with white bone spurs.

Their main offensive weapons were the sharp and razor-sharp foot and hand claws at the end of their limbs, as well as their hideous and terrifying fanged maws and strange long tongues capable of catapulting two meters away.

At the back of the ghoul team are a dozen or so terrifying ghoul witches with white bone staffs in hand and death robes. They were natural necromancers, able to cast most of the death spells and several types of terrifying necromantic curses.

And distributed on both sides of the corpse witch were more than thirty undead knights.

They ranged from the lowest-ranked Bone Horse Knight (1st rank) to the highest-ranked Wrath Knight (4th rank), encompassing almost all knightly undead creatures.

And they weren't the strongest of the Wraith Kanganus Konstantinian Guard.

As the elite undead legion continued to emerge, with a crunching of bones at the back of their ranks, a fifteen-meter long tall bone dragon appeared in front of everyone.

"Undead Legion, kill this obstruction for me!"

With a wave of the Wraith Kanganus's staff, all the undead raised their heads to the heavens with a silent cry and rushed in unison from the flanks to the battlefield.

Flame creatures, legions of undead, phantom runes....

Each of the three great powers used their own means and immediately gathered a powerful and terrifying team that rushed into the battlefield from all directions.

And at this point, the Sand King was already somewhat unable to hold on!

After all, the body that was gigantic using natural abilities wasn't real, and in every collision and energy encounter, the Sand King had to endure the suppression of power brought about by the disparate size.

The body of the Ice Bone Dragon had been forged by the power of cold ice to be stronger than steel, and in the crazy collision, apart from dropping some ice chips and slag, there were hardly any other injuries or damage. The Sand King, on the other hand, had already been bruised and battered, and horrible cracks could be seen everywhere on the outside of his insect shell, and the fetid insect blood was frozen into ice crystals by the cold air that swept the entire world before it could be spilled.

The serpentess Silkina with her flexible body in the periphery of the battlefield quickly swim, from time to time to climb on top of the ice pillar with swift and fierce snake arrows to attack the cold bone dragon.

Two of her arms were wielding her battle knife to break the ice crystals into pieces, and two of her arms were bending her bow and arrow to shoot out a strange looking arrow.

These snake arrows came from the snake hair on her head.

Whenever they hit an enemy, the arrows would inflict terrifying physical damage on them and at the same time instantly turn into poisonous snakes that would stalk them to death.

This was one of the great long-range attacks of the Snake Maiden Scylla!

It was a pity that this kind of painless long-range attack was ineffective against the Ice Bone Dragon Nax. Those snake arrows could not penetrate through the ice protection layer on the surface of Nax's huge skeleton, and the poison and arrows were frozen into ice crystals before they could be activated.

The disparity in size made the snake woman, Scylla, not dare to approach the Ice Bone Dragon at all.

Once she was attacked head-on by the other party's extreme cold power, she wouldn't have the thick insect armor as thick as the Sand King's to protect herself, nor would she have the strength to break free of the ice crystals.

It could be politely said that fighting this Ice Bone Dragon Nax was simply too much to bear!

As long as it was within the cold aura of the Ice Bone Dragon Naxx, the Sand King's every move would become extremely slow and difficult. The many knobby giant legs would be frozen in place at every turn, and they could only rely on their strong flesh*body strength to help them crumble in order to regain their ability to move.

Thus after struggling for thirteen flexes, the Sand King could only wow and retreat from the battlefield. And as soon as it retreated, large groups of flame creatures, legions of dead spirits, and that kind of psionic rune gathered around.

Looking at the blackness and the enemies that were pouring in from all directions, the Ice Bone Dragon Nax roared and opened its mouth to spew out an extreme cold freezing gas that spread across the field.

Those guys in the charge, whether they were flame creatures or legions of necromorphs, were instantly frozen in a thick layer of transparent ice crystals. And as the cold air spread, the ice crystals from near and far ruptured, shattering into ice chips all over the ground along with the guys frozen inside.
