Age of Adepts

Chapter 1455 - Advancing to Level 5

Time is passing, and the years are flying by.

Eighty years of time passed by silently.

Eighty years... this short or long time could be someone's life, but in the eyes of the dragons, it was just a short moment of a nap.

And for some of the guys buried beneath the lava lake, it was just a small step to be able to make the leap from 4th to 5th step.

Step 5 was, in fact, a watershed!

Below the 5th rank, even if you were to call the wind and rain and move mountains and mountains within the bit plane, you would still be a youngster in the eyes of the great sorcerers who had not yet shed their young shells and appeared to be young in every way.

In the world of the gods, the 5th level or above is called the divine level, which indicates that one will be able to escape from the cycle of life and death in the world and become an almost immortal life. In the witch camp, only wizards of the 5th rank or higher were eligible to be called Grand Wizards.

And they, apparently, had become completely different from the high school and low ranked sorcerers within the bit!

This difference manifested in every aspect, from the flesh* body to the spirit, to the soul origin, the 5th Order Rule Shaman had completely adapted to the rule power. And they were also radiating the rule power, and their bodies inside and out had become matched and compatible with the rule power they controlled.

Just like Grim, at 4th level the human body was his original body and the body of flame was his elemental form. But now it was the other way around, with the flame form becoming his true body and the human body becoming some form of separation or projection.

If it wasn't for the need to maintain this last vestige of humanity, I'm afraid Grim would never have left himself with such a fragile and dangerous loophole in his origin.

And this, in fact, was a huge problem faced by all human Grand Sorcerers!

The human body was too fragile and the upper limit of power it could hold was too low. If the Grand Sorcerers stuck to their human bodies, the most direct consequence was that their own energy reserves and basic defenses were poor.

At least in the category of 5th rank creatures, those Great Shamans who clung to human traditions were the weakest!

From mid-afternoon onwards, the Lava Lake area became violent.

Light earthquakes shake the loose piles of boulders, rattling the gravel from the heights and creating small localized landslides.

The lava lake area seemed to leak bottom.

The perennially surging dark red slimy lava melt began to percolate downward, and the lake level was rapidly dropping, revealing large areas of burnished lava bedrock.

Large clusters of tossing heat waves surged out from the ground, coercing tiny pieces of gravel to form a rushing column of air. The internal temperature of the pillar was as high as 4,000 to 5,000 degrees, and if a human fell into it, he would be instantly scalded to the point that his flesh and blood would be eaten away, his bones vaporized, and nothing would be left.

The earth was like a mud dragon digging in there, the ground was undulating and vibrating, while folding and cracking like a scrubbing rag. The entire lava lake area is surrounded by mud waves everywhere, the air waves empty.

From afar, the entire land was like a pot of boiling water that was about to boil in an instant!

Naturally, the abnormalities below had already been discovered by the sorcerers on the floating giant ship. Soon, the 3rd rank Blood Knight stationed here, Wensal, brought a few Crimson Sorcerers down from the sky and began to come down to look for the source of the strange movement.

Wensal was dressed in an exquisite and perfect knight's armor, with fine and intricate demonic patterns engraved on it. A cloak of scarlet red as blood waved in the wind at his back, further reflecting his tall and upright posture.

They were suspended above the lava lake area, silently looking down on the great change below them. Looking around, they could not find any intruders or suspicious creatures.

The lava within the lava lake had drained away, revealing a red-hot bed of rock. The bottom of the lake billowed hotly, and the air was filled with an extremely thick smell of sulfur and fire.

"Lord Winsal, it seems that it's not something happening outside, but there's a movement under the ground!" A crimson wizard frowned in disbelief.

"Underground..." chimed in Winsal.

As a member of the Crimson Family, he naturally knew what lurked beneath the Lava Lake Region. And now that there was a sudden movement under the ground, could it be....

He was in the middle of his contemplation when another crimson wizard whispered in amazement.

"Look...what's that?"

Wensal was startled by the words and gazed down, and indeed noticed something new and strange as well.

On the dry and hot rock bed, a dark red band of confused light slowly permeated out, like the colored tentacles extended by some giant octopus probe, and began to extend in all directions and high in the sky.

For some reason, upon seeing these colored bands of light, Wensal's heart trembled, and there was always an urge to turn around and run away inside.

A few Rank 2 Sorcerers might not be able to detect the abnormality of these colored light bands, but Wensal, as a Rank 3 Blood Knight, already had a hazy and illusory impression of higher-order power. His keen intuition was also constantly warning him to never approach those colored bands of light.

Wensal hesitated, reached into his pouch and took out a fist-sized piece of metal ore with a bit of blue mane glinting on it, then let go and let it fall down silently.

The metal ore fell downwards in a whirl, the magical power imbued on it even pulling out a faint blue thread in the air.

Cobalt blue ore... a magical ore imbued with strange water-based power, the refined cobalt blue stone was also a good material for building a water-based wand.

This piece of cobalt blue ore didn't look big, but it was a middle-grade magic material. A piece the size of a fist had a market value of less than 400 magic crystals.

A few Crimson Sorcerers were puzzled, but they still watched attentively.

Only that piece of cobalt blue ore flipped and fell down into the sky, just as it intersected with a confused band of light. The moment the two reunited in the air, smoke rose, and the ore immediately turned red as fire. The terrible heat caused the ore to instantly vaporize, leaving only the stars and slag puffing down into the sky.

"Hiss..."

Several Crimson Sorcerers immediately sucked in a breath of cold air, and their gazes towards the lost light band took on a touch of dread.

Although the cobalt blue ore was not known for its defensive power, it was much stronger than ordinary metals. Coupled with its special magical properties, it wouldn't have any problem resisting ordinary elemental attacks.

These seemingly innocuous and light bands of mistaken light contained such terrifying power, it would be impossible for them to get caught up in them.

"You guys go back immediately and inform the family headquarters of the strange situation here. I'll go down and take a look myself... "With the heavy responsibility of being stationed here, Wensal was naturally obligated to figure out the source of the abnormality.

Although there were a lot of risks down there, he had no choice but to bite his teeth and go down to find out.

However, just as his body was about to move, a familiar female voice suddenly came from his ears.

"Come up! No need to go down..."

It's Lord Mary!

Winsal looked up suddenly, only to find that in the sky next to the floating giant ship, two graceful, perfectly formed women were standing quietly, overlooking the land.

And Lord Alice....

Waving a gesture, Winsal and a few Crimson Wizards hurriedly flew up into the sky and bowed to Mary and Alice before landing back on top of the floating giant ship.

"Inform the captain and tell him to take everyone to wait a hundred miles away. No one is allowed to set foot in the Lava Lake area without an order! Go ahead." Mary was quick to give orders.

During these eighty years, Mary had commanded the Crimson Family and was also the Vice President of the Horton School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her prestige was prestigious throughout the middle, and she was also increasingly powerful in the eyes of the Crimson witches.

Thus the order was given, and in less than a meal, the huge floating giant ship had disappeared into the far end of the sky.

Only two graceful and beautiful figures remained over the entire Lava Lake area.

The bat wings behind Mary's back gently flapped against the void, allowing it to sink and float in midair.

After all these years, Mary's beautiful posture was still the same as before.

Her pretty face, scarlet eyes, bright red lips, shoulder-length hair, thin waist, long white legs... She was wearing a set of soft armor with various sorcery effects, perfectly fitting her curvaceous body, giving people a thrilling sense of charm and seduction.

On her side, Alice was increasingly gentle and serene.

She was draped in a purple starry gown, her body tall and graceful. A head of long silver hair as silky as satin was spread out behind her, appearing to have an unusually soft and serene face. The pair of azure eyes in the narrow phoenix eyes sparkled with wisdom, giving people an extraordinarily voluptuous and mysterious taste.

The two women stood side by side, overlooking the undulating earth beneath them, the tip of the eyebrows and the bottom of the eyes are soaked in a trace of concern and sadness that can not be concealed.

"Alice, do you think... he'll come out today?" Mary inquired softly, but without the joy of a long absence in her tone.

"Well!"

"He's... already... 5th rank?"

"Well!"

"So he's leaving the wizarding world immediately?"

"...not so fast, but there really isn't much time left for him!"

"........"

The two women were silent together.

Under their gaze, the dried and cooled lava lake area suddenly shook and trembled violently once again.

Like broken porcelain, the earth blossomed into fine cracks, and a blinding red pillar of light emanated from underground, as if a hot sun was slowly rising from the ground.

Everything on the earth's surface began to melt and soften, and even the void was heated to a shocking degree.

And right in the midst of the flames and magma, a huge flame hand broke through the earth and extended out of the ground. Following this, the giant flame hand bent and supported the ground, and a huge and terrifying flame giant emerged from the ground, standing proudly on top of the earth.
