Age of Adepts

Chapter 1517 - Tragic.

Grim is in bad shape!

In fact, his current state could no longer be described with simple words like good or bad.

Now, not only was his body alienated, his flesh and blood alienated, and his muscles and bones alienated, even the rules of fire were also messed up and disorganized in a miserable mess.

And as he stumbled all the way back to the Sorcerer's camp, his body flying in the air was still dropping all kinds of alienated flesh and blood downwards. These dissimilar flesh and blood fell to the ground, and no matter what kind of substance they were combined with, they would turn into strange and bizarre rule-altering beasts with strange faces and forms.

Their looks, their forms, and their strangeness were also completely different from any bit creature, simply resembling an ugly monster that had haphazardly reconciled its genes and bloodline. And yet, they possessed extraordinary rule-based abilities.

Grim was stumbling and stumbling as he flew at high altitude, the disordered rule power in his body all suppressed by the Book of Filth and Darkness. And he also needed to rely on the Fire God Pearl to protect his soul from the disorder of rules spreading to the soul level.

This increasingly led to the uncontrollable nature of his actions!

Compared to the arrogant and domineering one from back then, the current Grim was miserable.

It seemed that Grim's miserable state had also triggered some strong orcs to stir.

Therefore, just after halfway through the journey, Grim's path was blocked by an orc berserker warrior who exuded fierceness and hostility all over his body.

It was a power berserker with a three-meter tall, unusually tough and strong physique, with a shaved head, a short and thick neck that was almost invisible, a rhino armor covering his body, and a giant wolf tooth club in his hand.

As soon as the other stopped Grim in his tracks, he growled loudly.

"Evil wizard, weren't you arrogant when you first arrived? How did this happen now? Haha, now let me da Guru..."

What it wanted to say later, Grim wouldn't know.

Not bothering to dilly-dally with such a mus**er, and fearing that it would be under siege from the strong orcs if it was delayed too long, Grim unleashed the Ring of Corruption stored in the Book of Filth and Darkness without hesitation.

After a dark green aura wrapped around that berserker, the hair and skin around its body dissolved like a roasted candle. The entire body began to spew out wildly with dark green poisonous clouds, and it fell out of the sky as it stumbled.

The beasts were still too lacking in the protection of powerful items, and no matter what kind of damage they encountered, they almost always relied on their strong flesh* bodies and stubborn wills to fight. But against a highly poisonous rule sorcery of up to rank 5, it really couldn't handle it.

That orc berserker was knocked out of the sky without a single move, and its life became moribund.

And it was a rank 4 advanced orc strongman!

Not to be feared, orcs were a fighting race that never knew fear or retreat.

Thus, not long after Grim had laid waste to the Orc Berserker, there was another strong orc standing in his way.

This time it was an Orc Sword Saint, and its level was even as high as the peak of the 4th rank.

It was also a renowned top-tier existence in the Mutas Plane!

However, such a guy still didn't please in Grim's hands, a Berserk Pupil went over, and the peak 4th stage Orc Sword Saint was straight away spiked to pieces.

It should be known that a 5th stage junior sorcerer attack damage can reach 15,000 is already considered average. Grim's carefully prepared Berserk Pupil, on the other hand, was able to reach a morbid 32,000.

Such an attack would be enough to spike an unprepared Stage 5 Junior Grand Sorcerer, not to mention the fact that this was really only dealing with a tiny Stage 4 peak Orc Sword Saint!

The price that Grim paid for this was that his right eye exploded into a bloody froth, leaving behind a black hole of flesh and blood.

It was only then that the strong orcs of the Mutas Dimension understood the insurmountable gulf of strength between the enemy and me. It would be easy for the other side to kill them even if they were just a 5th rank Grand Sorcerer with a great loss of strength.

At the very least, a peak 4th rank orc sword saint was only worth a right eye!

Having spiked the Orc Sword Saint, all the strong Orcs ceased to behave indiscriminately, never daring to do anything again.

Thus, only then was Grim able to stumble back to the wizard camp.

The atmosphere within the camp was also extremely tense at this time.

Several members of the Witch Team were nervously debugging and preparing the Interdimensional Hyper Teleportation Array. On the other hand, the 6th ranked Grand Sorcerer Brielle and 5th ranked Rick who had hurriedly fled back were standing in the center of the camp, constantly scanning the surrounding environment for changes.

Ugg, Brielle looked startled and turned his head to the far side of the sky.

Soon, Rick also perceived something, with the same look of surprise and incredulity on his face.

"I think you said that that Grim was being watched by Galleon's original body? So...what's going on?" Brielle spoke harshly.

"He...I...this..." and Rick became somewhat disoriented and incoherent. "My lord...I...I really saw him being targeted by that Galleon. As for how he survived, I don't know anything about it!"

And in the midst of their quick and covert conversation, a black spot there at the end of the sky suddenly appeared, plummeted and flew haphazardly through the air, wobbled over the witch camp, and then fell headlong.

"Lord Grim seems to be badly hurt..." a 4th rank witch screamed, reaching out her hand to help Grim who was falling from the sky.

There was a muffled bang.

Suffering a strong shock, a thumb-sized piece of flesh from the miserable form of Grim's cheek splattered out and landed on top of the still-burning campfire.

The alienation rules wave overflowed, and the piece of flesh and blood even instantly fused together with the flames. In the next moment, a strange creature that looked like a flame pudding from afar transformed.

It was a liquid flame, wrapped in a transparent film. Flames roared and clashed within it, rushing out from time to time, emitting intense heat and forming a terrifying stream of crimson flames.

"Fire Mud Monster? No... Fire Mud Monsters are all unimpressive monsters... how can they reach the 3rd stage... what kind of monster is this?" Rick couldn't help but mutter.

The little guy in front of him was already enough to be considered a 3rd rank creature just by its ability to swallow flames and drive flame attacks. It just couldn't perceive any mental fluctuations unique to intelligent creatures in its extremely strong flame rule breath.

An unconscious rule-altering monster?

Seemingly unable to perceive the huge difference in strength between them, nor did it have the danger perception unique to normal intelligent creatures, that newly born little fellow immediately attacked every sorcerer present indiscriminately.

And its attack was even imbued with a trace of flame rule power....

It's faint, but it's as clear and legible as a fake!

Brielle grunted, and a mental twist tore the flame pudding into flaming shards. And he even raised his hand and painted an oversized sorcery rune in the air into Grim's body.

Strangely enough, as soon as this rune entered his body, all the disordered and riotous rule power within Grim's flesh and blood suddenly stagnated, like a reptile in amber, and was suppressed by the seal.

And only at this time, Grim squarely opened his eyes and whispered to this 6th rank Grand Sorcerer, "Thank you, my lord!"

Despite being extremely curious as to how Grim escaped from the Orc Temple, seeing this situation, Brielle was too embarrassed to ask anything further, so she could only wave her hand, "The failure of this mission was not our factor, but the other party's power has exceeded the limits of what we can deal with. It's good that you escaped back alive... What's there, wait until we return to the headquarters."

"Don't worry, it was the appearance of the other party's 7th rank god's original body that caused us to fail in our mission, and it's impossible for the headquarters to hold us too responsible. Just go back and heal your wounds at ease."

Grim nodded weakly and silently closed his eyes, starting to slowly regulate the disordered rule power in his body now.

The mission had failed, and two great sorcerers had been lost....

Such a fiasco was somewhat difficult for even a 6th rank Grand Sorcerer like Brielle to bear.

Thus, after returning to the Giant Rock War Fortress with the aid of the teleportation array, both Brielle and Rick were forced to undergo a mission review by the top brass at headquarters. Grim, on the other hand, was given preferential treatment by virtue of his tragic injuries, and was spared such 'torture' and went straight back to his residence to recuperate.

This mission could be considered to have tortured Grim to death!

Not to mention the fact that he couldn't get his hands on the mission rewards, his original body was destroyed beyond repair, and was only a hair's breadth away from exploding and dying.

And with such an infestation of alienation rules, there was no other good way to think about it as a rule sorcerer, so he could only extract the alienation rules one by one like a mortal healing a wound, and then replace them with flame rules again.

As for the idea of self-destructing this body and then recreating a body was simply nonsense.

All of the rules of dissimulation were rooted in his sorcerer origin and star beast bloodline, and giving up the rules of dissimulation would mean giving up everything he currently possessed. Thus, one could only work slowly and heal and recover a little bit.

Of course, Grim had been nagging at the failure of the Mutas bit mission, not knowing what went wrong to allow that 7th Order Killing God to even descend in his original form and upset the balance of the war.

However, after he secretly went to visit the Great Sorcerer of Sarupo once, he got a vague answer.

At the same moment that Grim and the others failed in their mission on the Mutas Plane, the Great Rock War Fortress's breaking attack on the other plane was a great success. The original plane of that God of Hatred, Ernus, was destroyed!

And this god of hatred, Ernus, managed to avoid the fall crisis and fled to the other orc deity god kingdoms, and his rank fell from a 5th rank weak god to a 4th rank demigod....

There was so much information imbued within this message that Grim was a little distracted the moment he first heard it.

And he also tasted some of the unfulfilled circumstances from it!
