Age of Adepts

Chapter 467: Grim Camp

Overnight, two bee squadrons went hunting.

This instantly made the hive manic.

After daylight broke out, the hive, which had just fallen silent, made another noise. A team of heavily armed bee fighters rushed out of the hive and began a careful search of the area patrolled by the missing team.

The battlefield was quickly discovered, but there were surprisingly few remaining battle tracks on the scene.

Apart from some traces of burning flames and some broken arrow spears, no remains were found at the scene, much less half of the flesh. This is rare in monster warfare!

Based on the situation at the scene, it can be judged that the bee hunting team encountered the Red Flame Tiger. But what makes it difficult for bee commanders to understand is that if the number of red flame tigers is too large to eat, the bee hunting team just needs to flap their wings high to hide in the tree crown and retreat from direct conflict with each other.

Since fighting broke out between the Bee Hunting Team and the Red Flame Tiger, it means that the small leader in charge thinks they can eat each other. So where are they now?

As can be seen, the scene of the battle has been cleaned up very carefully and even a piece of flesh and blood is difficult to find. Had it not been for the strange smell of the Red Flame Tiger, the Bee Commander would not have been able to resist suspecting that human wizards had broken into their territory.

But the style of the scene is not like that of a human witch.

Those greedy human wizards are not brutal bloodthirsty demons, and when they kill their prey, they only take away some of the organs or parts of the most abundant essence of life from the prey, and they don't let go of even a little flesh like the most ferocious demons.

Just as the bee commander slapped his wings on the scene, hoping to find some clues, a panting bee warrior rushed to his side.

“There… there… there is a demon's lair…” This bee warrior who came back from afar apparently was greatly frightened, even spoken intermittently.

This cannot help but tighten the mind of the bee commander.

A moment later, the Bee Commander arrived at the Devil's Hive with a large group of Bee Warriors.

It used to be a hideous grizzly bear's lair, but with the arrival of the Abe Bees, this cave of more than twenty square feet lost its owner forever.

But apparently, last night, this place was occupied by some terrible demon.

It's like an abandoned nest with a strange blanket of fungus on the ground and around the walls. Five or six piles of anthill-like soil were erected in the center of the cave, but now they have been overthrown and destroyed, no longer seeing the horrible appearance of the previous high rise.

As soon as he stepped into the cave, the bee commander was nauseated by an intensely pungent, bloody smell. Yet when its eyes fell on those collapsed piles of earth, the anger of the Bee Commander was no longer repressed.

These motherfuckers!

These... these goddamn anthill nests are made of bee warrior flesh mixed with wood chips and wet soil. In the collapsed soil pile of the nest, the Bee Commander saw residual half-cuts and Bee tail pricks.

From what we've seen on the scene, this is a breeding ground for the flesh and blood of a freaking Bee Warrior!

And they're obviously one step late, and those bloody aliens have hatched and moved early.

“Send all patrols to search every forest in the vicinity and make sure to pull out those damn guys...” The bee commander's sharp roar immediately sounded in the cave.

With this order, a team of bee warriors leaned out into the nest, instantly turning the whole black forest into a big, messy mud pit.

…………

Everything that happens in the distant jungle obviously does not interfere with the normal life of the Fire Throne Witch Tower.

Grimm had just quenched his spiritual strength and returned from the underground lava sea to receive a message of witchcraft from Billis.

He has successfully planted roots in Abe Bee territory and succeeded in hatching five scorpion larvae.

Yes, after the merger of Billis and the mutant mother, it was not the rotting beetle, but a scorpion of dark earth double attributes that hatched due to differences in its own properties and natural affinity.

According to a message from Billis, Grimm was able to gain an initial understanding of the basic capabilities of this scorpion young organism.

Unfortunately, this scorpion juvenile has lost its ability to fly, but has compensated for its ability to drill the earth and launch earthly, dark attacks. Their basic attack is to drill from the ground to the enemy's feet and then suddenly make a terrible melee attack. The main weapons of attack were the huge cheeks and ragged mouthpieces that grew at the front end of the body, as well as the highly poisonous scorpion that rose high behind it.

When attacking, it is able to initiate a faint 'mudslide' that plunges surrounding enemies into thick, muddy soot, while its main attack carries terrible shadow damage.

Of course, if these young creatures are able to grow to maturity smoothly, they can lurk underground to spear or shadow raid. As long as the enemy is unable to push them off the ground, they can almost stand undefeated.

If we go further, the mature scorpion evolves into an elite monster and awakens more and more terrifying witchcraft abilities. In the absence of substantive data and information, however, Grimm was not in a position to predict in advance what capacity they might acquire.

Hard shells of scorpion creatures protect them from most physical injuries, while mudslides and shadow attacks keep large numbers of enemies at their side. From this perspective, the future Scorpion Corps of Billis is likely to grow into a confounding flesh shield force.

This also greatly releases the defensive pressure of Elemental Demon Puppets, allowing them to play great colors in the position of Ranged Attackers!

After a confrontational war, Grim has implicitly formed his own set of war ideals.

The so-called frontal war is actually just a beautified ‘frontal invasion’. In this way, in addition to confronting the oppression of face-to-face consciousness, the invaders resist the tidal wave of face-to-face indigenous peoples. In this case, a lonely invader who wants to fight each other's positions is simply looking for death!

So while retaining a high degree of mobility and secrecy, witchcraft with rapid military formation is the key to defeating enemies. At this point, Grimm's Elemental Demon Puppet, Mary's Legion of Vampires, or Billis' Scorpion Army, are an essential part of this set of tactics.

Of course, the difficulty of wanting to invade a mature position in its entirety with such strength is simply outrageous. That's why Grimm, after much deliberation, put his time behind becoming a second-degree wizard.

I'm sure at that time, their servants' regiment tactics were basically mature, and nothing was just a frame and prototype, as they are now, and even a one-sided general and commander could not be picked out.

After a brief look at Billis' information, Grimm once again focuses on herself. This is the second spiritual cultivation!

The last spiritual quenching brought his mental strength down from 7 to 6 points, and after a period of rest and adjustment, Grimm returned his mental strength to the 7: 00 cap again using a variety of rapid recovery methods.

But at the end of this quenching, his spiritual strength plummeted again to 5.8 points, also causing a severe and persistent shock in his spiritual space.

This spiritual shock is good for him.

The advantage is that it can shake the already solidified spiritual space, detonate the hidden dangers that are detrimental to spiritual space development and give Grimm more space for future development. The downside is that this spiritual oscillation involves almost the entire body and mind of Grimm. Until it is eliminated, Grimm will not be able to practise any witchcraft at all, and even invoking spiritual power will require caution in order to avoid interfering with self-regulation in the spiritual space.

Except, of course, for pre-stored witchcraft in voodoo volumes!

Grimm estimates that even with sufficient witchcraft and resources to squander, it will take 5—7 days to eliminate this spiritual shock. Grimm feels it would be most appropriate to keep the interval between 10 and 15 days for mental quenching if one considers the tolerability of the flesh * body and the need to warm the spirit.

And during his period of spiritual shock, he almost lost his wizard's ability to impose, relying only on the tower and a tight defensive witch formation to protect himself. If this weakness is mastered by his enemies, Grimm's life is in real danger!

Another two days later, the anticipated Kogan Wizard arrived at the Fire Throne Witch Tower with a large amount of materials. He was accompanied by Goblin Kabi and many apprentices, bustling with more than twenty, thrown under the Grimm Gate.

These have been gradually distributed to Grimm by the Sarubo family for more than a decade, at a time when a packet of brains was also delivered.

As can be seen, with the signing of the new compact, there has been a considerable shift in attitude towards Grimm on the part of the Salubo family at high levels, from previous repression to what is now best supported. It appears that the Sanazar is full of confidence in his ambition to successfully defeat Grim and doesn't even care about advancing Grim any more.

Grimm, of course, has his heart set on this.

Under the manipulation of Meryl and Gerger, the Flame Throne hosted a grand banquet to welcome the arrival of the Kogan Wizard. It is also convenient to use the banquet to connect the apprentices and new apprentices who earlier settled in the Witch Tower.

After all, the Fire Throne Witch Tower will be a place for them to live, learn and experiment for a very long period of time to come.

In this way, the Fire Throne Witch Tower currently has three members: Grimm, Meryl and Grigg Witches (Lin and Mary not yet included), five quasi-witch apprentices, eleven senior apprentices, thirty-four intermediate apprentices and several junior apprentices…

A small camp with a bright grime appeared silently in the middle of the continent!
