Alchemist Yuki's Strategy

Episode 5: Confirm Home

Look out the window while shaking up a sweet, delicious apple dressing full of honey.

The landscapes visible through the windows are rough gardens and dense woods of varying density, and small stone walls that divide them.

I have no idea what's going on around me with this alone.

There seems to be no imminent danger, and let's take a look around the house.

"... no one,"

I borrowed the little robe that was in the room, and as a result of looking around the whole way, there was no one in the house.

The entrance is to the south, with a simple kitchen and dining table in front of the right from the front door. A mixing chamber with a large pot and alchemy cloth in front of the left. The back right is the first bedroom I was in, and the back left is the bathroom and toilet.

Behind the central aisle is a staircase, with one warehouse-like room upstairs and two glaring rooms with a sleeping area. There was one room where several immobile puppets were placed.

Every room seemed a little dusty and a little after people were gone.

I also checked outside.

Apparently this house is in the woods and there are no people living around it.

The long stone walls were sheltered from illusory demons, and the fields, some of which were divided, had magic that encouraged the growth of plants, while the well was hung with magic that purified water.

The source of magic... is apparently connected to the basement of the house.

They missed something.

Three Dolls live here.

One was a doll who made me tea earlier, and now I'm cleaning the house.

I didn't feel much dust from each room on the ground floor compared to the top, so I guess I was ordered to clean the room I use or the one I use.

He also seemed to be able to dispense, hanging the large pot in the preparation room on fire and boiling the dried herbs.

Simmer out the potency like tea and add some more ingredients to make the potion.

The other was a muddy doll, taking care of the field.

It's a lot of space to work alone, but a golem with infinite stamina doesn't seem that big.

However, he was made of wood and seemed to be rather worn out, with Doyle's ability to self-repair and microbial decomposition slightly increasing his armament to microbes.

There are lots of different types of medicinal herbs and lots of vegetables grown in the field, all well maintained, but other land grows weeds and is rough over time.

The last one, the gatekeeper.

Better in shape than the other two, it's a battle dowel with an iron sword and a small shield.

There are scratches all over the body and the little shield is worn out, but only the sword is beautifully cared for.

And there were three broken dowels falling outside.

One seems to have decayed in field work, and is now mud dropped and rested on the tip of the house.

The other one seems to have been one of the gatekeepers, but beside it is placed a great shield with a shackle, whose torso is heavily submerged.

He's got a broken leg, and he must have taken some strong shock from the front.

The last one was...... worn out.

My hands and feet are scratched and there are countless holes in my torso.

Especially noticeable wounds are brand-new cuts, with hangings carved on the torso.

I hear this has become a fatal fight.

Feels like I saw it. The scar is caused by a sharp blade... so I guess I was hit by a big demon like a dragon or with a weapon.

It is a sufficient fact to encourage vigilance in any case.

Looking into the garden in detail, I found another body besides Doyle.

- It's a grave.

It's on the edge of the garden. It just looks like there's a bigger rock on it at first glance.

But the rock is preceded by the flower that was just accompanied today, and when you look at it by sensing the magic well, you can see that there is a human-shaped magic under the rock.

It's definitely dead.

There's a lot of magic left in the body, and I guess he was a wizard or something in his lifetime.

My sensing abilities do not make it clear, but there are no wounds that could cause death, and there seems to be no reason why he died of illness.

Probably life expectancy.

I prayed lightly for blessings before leaving the spot behind.

"Mmmm?... Labyrinth?

It was on the back of the house.

Next to the firewood loaded for cooking the bath, there is a staircase leading down to the basement, where the first room you see is a reasonably large one.

In that limp room, there was a crystal ball shining in the center, and when I peered into the aisle next to it, there was another staircase.

I'm very concerned because I feel strong magic from the crystal ball, but just in case I step out of the stairs to make sure...

- The surrounding signs have changed slightly.

This feels the same way when entering the labyrinth.

It would be an eighty-nine labyrinth.

"... maybe later"

It's more dangerous to go in all of a sudden than to know what size the labyrinth is.

Most importantly, in the absence of weapons, the only way to defeat enemies is by magic... but you should be well prepared to hit things.

First, check the crystal ball.

Residential Nucleus (Homecore) Quality? Rarity or endurance?

Notes: Nucleus of the dwelling. In operation.

Examination revealed that this is a residential nucleus (homecore).

Apparently, the appraisal and my level are low, so only the information I know comes out, but it is still sufficient.

Because if you use magic sensing to do a good research, you'll know what the dwelling nucleus (homecore) is used for.

"Hmmm...... pretty much as expected"

From what I've seen, the residential nucleus (homecore) is mainly responsible for six things.

Fantastic junction of stone walls.

Increased field growth.

Purification of well water.

Avoid demons that reach a little further from the stone wall.

Restoration of buildings and dolls.

And, uh...

- Robbery of the labyrinth.

Most of the processing power of the residential nucleus (homecore) is used to take control of the labyrinth.

Now the takeover is antagonistic, but the residential nucleus (homecore) is a lower compatibility of the labyrinth nucleus (maize core) in the first place.

Being antagonistic meant that the possessor of the residential nucleus (homecore) had so much power.

It is also possible to estimate the size of the labyrinth from the ability of the dwelling nucleus (homecore).

At the moment, this labyrinth is not as big as it should be.

There's an advanced potion, and it'll be easy to attack.

The game time now is a little late in the morning.

Let's get ready before we start the attack around noon.

"- Knock it off... yeah"

I sneeze in this cold... even though I'm cold tolerant.
