When I left the magic practice hall, it was already dark.
I can see that the summer is over and the days are getting shorter.
As he hurried along the road to the dorm, Almark noticed a figure walking on a dim path just like himself.
"Leila"
Almark shouted, and Leila walked in front of her.
Nice to meet you.
Says in a sarcastic tone.
"You don't have to say anything."
The place you're heading is the same, so you'll end up walking side-by-side.
I was taught a lesson by Dr. Ilmis.
Almark says.
I can use the magic of fog.
Almark wanted to talk to someone about the joy of using magic, but he didn't mind Leila saying so.
"Yes."
Almark thought Leila would answer indifferently, but unexpectedly looked straight back at Almark.
Good for you.
I didn't expect you to say that, honestly.
"Thank you."
Almark also thanked me honestly.
Leila turned around and said as she walked quickly.
"I know enough that you trained in meditation every day."
The lips were slightly broken.
"If you do that, you'll be able to use the magic of fog."
Almark was bewildered by Leila's gentle tone all the time, but he smiled bitterly at the words that followed.
"I won't be bothered by the extra hours you're giving me."
That's right.
Almark nodded.
But not yet.
Show Leila your right hand as you say so. My skin is still burned.
"My hands are so tingling."
Leila looked forward and looked at his hand with her eyes twitching.
"You're imagining mist coming directly from your hands."
"Eh, yeah. Tell the teacher to do the same."
"I imagine it coming out of the space just above my palm"
Leila said.
"For once, it becomes a form of disconnecting magic from your body, so you don't have to keep focusing. That's why I can't stop focusing."
It's just my preference, I'll add.
"Of course the teacher is right, but when you get used to it, you need to find an image that suits you. Don't ignore it because it's magic that you can do, and always study it. That's the shortcut to improvement."
I see.
Almark nods honestly.
"It's very helpful. Thank you."
Even if Almark thanked me, Leila didn't seem to care.
"If you're always meditating in a magic practice class, I'm distracted too."
That said, Almark smiles bitterly again.
Is Leila practicing martial arts today?
Huh?
Leila shouted in surprise and looked sideways at Almark's face.
"Why?"
"Because Leila has a martial arts field on foot. I don't think so."
"... not really."
"Practice martial arts competitions? That's what you do when you do it."
That's what I was told, and the redness appeared on Leila's face for the first time.
"I just don't want to expose myself to anything unusual before I leave."
That's what they say.
"You seem to be better at martial arts."
"Yeah."
Almark nodded.
"For teaching me the magic tricks of fog, there's only one thing I can do."
Leila glanced at Almark with her eyes again.
"Leila, when you're ready, you should be a little more conscious and half-bodied. I lost a few times to Wendy in my pre-vacation class because I had to face him while I was moving."
Leila saw Almark's face clearly this time.
"You've always been practicing with other kids far away in class."
"Even from a distance, you'll see."
"I don't know. There's so much mess and other kids are messing around. I don't know."
Leila shakes her head. Her long, glossy hair shakes.
"You've only been here a few months, and you've seen too much."
Leila looked at Almark with a complex expression of disgust and envy.
"How far are you looking? How far do you see it?"
"How far..."
Almark continues.
Leila kept staring at Almark's face for a while, but finally turned around and said, "Enough is enough."
"... martial arts tournaments, you're on the same team"
"Yeah, three pairs."
"I'm wasting my time doing martial arts competitions at this magic academy, and I still think I don't want to leave if I can."
Leila cut out her words and saw Almark with her burning eyes.
Say it in a strong tone.
"I hate losing more."
"Yeah."
Almark nodded.
"I won't lose, so let Nelson and the others win."
That said, Leila is sure to look ahead.
"I definitely don't want to see them happy in front of me."
"Okay."
I promise.
"Yeah."
Almark nodded again.
I saw a blurry dorm light over there.
"Thank you. I was motivated by the martial arts tournament."
When she heard that, Leila laughed out loud.
Almark looks at her in surprise.
"Motivation is not something that other people can do. I'll do it myself."
What I was saying was tough, but it was fun somewhere.
Magic practice comes first.
I would never lose martial arts to an amateur student of the same age.
Almark thought so, but she was staring at Leila's burning eyes and felt the fire burning inside her.
Win three pairs as a team.
I honestly thought so.
