Sadly, things did not go as wished.

The Spider Mother ’Anarons’ seemed to realize something was amiss, and she suddenly let out a shriek and chased after them. She raised her massive pincers high and swept toward Ben and his group.

"Right ahead!" Ben shouted in his heart, holding the Princess as he rolled forward. The Princess let out a muffled groan, and the colossal pincers of the Spider Mother ’Anarons’ swept over their heads, directly slicing through two knights and a witch.

The shattered bodies fell to the ground like split logs, and then blood gushed out like a fountain, splattering all over the nearby ground.

Ben vaguely heard a terrified scream from the young witch named ’Sugar Jar’, as he dazedly grabbed the Earth Sword, rising from the ground. Looking up, he saw yet another cliff ahead. However, there was a half-human-wide fissure on one side of the cliff wall, where the rocks interlocked, black and cavernous, identical to what he had in his memories.

This was precisely the place he was looking for.

"Everyone, don’t stop, get inside there!" Ben dared not delay and immediately shouted to the others. The knights and witches, upon hearing this, swiftly ran in that direction. He turned back to see the Spider Mother ’Anarons’ again raising her pincers in the darkness, her four pairs of blood-red eyes staring down at him.

"Who would fear you, monster!"

At this moment, Ben had no room to retreat; he simply stood straight, raised the Earth Sword, and stepped forward. The dark sword blade swung in the air, striking down on the sweeping pincers of the Spider Mother ’Anarons’, with a loud crash. Ben could only feel as if he had hit a steel column or rock; a dazzling spark burst forth in the darkness.

Half his body went numb, and he could only feel a massive force flinging him away, slamming him against the cliff wall. Ben’s head tilted back with a muffled groan, and the Earth Sword Halangea slipped from his hand, spinning away, grazing several stalactite columns and bouncing in the darkness, creating a series of clattering sounds before landing in a heap of spider webs.

So painful!

It was only now that Ben realized how far he was from the true Side of Truth. His battle with Williams had already caused his mind to overheat, and the after-effects were only manifesting at this moment. The strength of the Travel Mage was ultimately not his own.

He felt his throat sour, his mouth filled with a salty metallic taste. But this was not the time to ponder gains and losses; he shook his head vigorously, trying to shake off the dizziness, but his head was already broken. He barely lifted his blood-covered eyelids to see the Spider Mother ’Anarons’ moving closer with her eight legs in the scarlet surroundings.

At that moment, Ben felt his heart clench.

The knights and witches had now approached the fissure, only to realize that Ben had been knocked away. Their attempts to turn back for rescue seemed too late at this point.

It was precisely at this moment that Princess Griffine suddenly reacted, rushing toward the knight who had been killed earlier, picking up his belongings—a longsword—and with all her strength, hurled it toward the Spider Mother. The gleaming sword blade spun, striking the Spider Mother’s head, causing it to tilt to one side.

The Half-Elf Princess then drew her own sword, her face pale, and shouted at the enormous spider, "Monster, I’m here—!"

"No, Princess!"

Ben coughed, calling anxiously. But the Princess had already gripped the sword with both hands, drawing closer to the Spider Mother. Although the Spider Mother ’Anarons’ had developed the Element and entered the domain of the Side of Truth, it was ultimately not a wise being, and the development of the Law was merely an instinct.

Princess Griffine’s approach made it feel threatened, and it bewilderedly turned toward the Half-Elf Princess, then raised its pincers high, preparing to teach this insignificant challenge a lesson.

Ben’s blood froze; he swiftly took out a bottle of Holy Water and drank it down. Then he rolled forward, arriving beside the heap of spider webs, and quickly yanked the Earth Sword from it.

But at this moment, the Spider Mother had already launched an attack on Princess Griffine. The Half-Elf Girl cautiously stepped back, facing this terrifying monster, her hands trembling as she clutched the longsword, yet she gritted her teeth and assumed the stance of Erui Army Military Swordsmanship.
