In the ebb and flow of the battle, just a minute later, Ben began to feel the pressure mounting enormously. No news from Antitina yet, and on the other side, Nicholas seemed unable to come over for a while. He estimated that he had to hold on for at least another minute.

But that minute was enough to cost him his life.

This can’t go on.

Ben suddenly turned his head and stood by the teleportation gate. The long-horned demons rushing from behind abruptly stopped. High intelligence has this downside; at least they know which things are untouchable, and although teleportation gates are not easily damaged, who can guarantee it?

If it were a low-intelligence hellhound, it might have just rushed full tilt, directly ramming Ben into the teleportation gate. Unfortunately, the long-horned demons didn’t have the courage for this.

If not for standing by the teleportation gate, Ben figured he would have been torn to shreds dozens of times by now.

He halted, instinctively reached into his bosom to see if he could find something to save the urgent situation. But upon feeling around, he only found a dagger.

He was slightly baffled, remembering this object was a piece he crafted when practicing alchemy. In all honesty, it was of no use on such a battlefield.

However, Ben still casually pulled it out and tossed it at the demon.

The long-horned demon suddenly saw Ben making a move and was startled, quickly dodging to the side, but then realizing it was just an ordinary dagger. It couldn’t help but scream in anger, while Ben laughed heartily on the other side, unexpectedly, this stroke of genius inadvertently helped him a bit.

The demons lunged forward once again.

Ben retreated, rolling backward. Yet another dagger flew towards the long-horned demon, but this time the demon wouldn’t be fooled, blocking it with its hand, sending the dagger flying without even scratching its skin.

Ben immediately threw a third dagger.

He had made quite a few of such daggers while practicing, of course, the later pieces were made of ordinary materials, even inferior to the first one. Consequently, the daggers he threw posed no threat to the demons, purely serving as blatant provocation.

In just a moment, the long-horned demons were on the verge of madness, being only a stone’s throw away from Ben. Two of the long-horned demons even began to flank one side, preparing to cut off Ben’s retreat, while the remaining one roared in anger and pounced.

Ben once again threw out a dagger.

The dagger hit directly on the demon’s chest.

It didn’t even glance at it, ready to crash that thing away. Truth be told, this was no different than a child flinging a handful of sand at it. Unless it hit the eyes, it was worthless wherever else.

But this time, as soon as it touched the dagger, it sensed something was off.

The touch felt slightly different—

It instinctively lowered its head, surprised to see that what Ben threw wasn’t a dagger but some deformed, cone-shaped object. Despite its high intelligence, the long-horned demon couldn’t comprehend what it was.

But frankly, understanding wasn’t necessary.

Because in the next moment, a terrifying pain erupted from its chest. The long-horned demon watched as magic power crumbled within itself, its massive body seemingly splintering apart. Dark magic burst forth directly forming a black hole-like space, in an instant shriekingly pulling it entirely back.

Pulled back to the underground of the River of Sulfur.

In the torrential rain, only the demon’s final screams remained.

Even Ben was startled, what he threw, naturally, was the terrifying Godslayer Demon-breaking Cone. But he hadn’t expected that for a demon, an existence projected onto the Main Material Plane, this thing not only directly disintegrated its strength but even negated its very existence.

Witnessing all this firsthand, Ben stunned, raised his head, and for the first time understood why players of that era called this thing a nuclear weapon.

Holding this thing indeed has the potential of a terrorist.

Yet two more remain, Ben instinctively tried to crawl up from the ground. But his bones felt shattered painfully. Even he didn’t know whether the opponents would give him a chance. Likely not, as the long-horned demons were not fools.
