I returned to my residence. The first thing I did was enter the bathroom to take a shower. I took a cold shower, which lasted for 20 minutes.

I walked out and changed into comfortable clothes. Then, I felt a craving for food. I took out my device and looked for a restaurant nearby.

Soon, I found one with good reviews. I ordered some monster meat steaks, chips, and drinks. Afterward, I was about to put the device away.

Buzz!

Suddenly, my device buzzed. I saw that there was a new message. I opened the message and began to read it; it was sent from the administration.

They congratulated me for clearing the easy mode in the Puppet Hall, letting me know they had made the rest of the day free for me.

Seeing that, I was taken aback. I hadn’t known that I was supposed to spend the entire day in the training camp. Fortunately, I had cleared the easy mode in the Puppet Hall.

Next, I shifted my attention to the big screen. I decided to watch the news. I turned it on, and the broadcast started playing.

At first, the news anchor was reporting on something else, but my gaze fell on the ticker running below.

My heart stirred. What was I reading? Was it really about me? Why did they broadcast it? What about my privacy?

I would be targeted by others. I realized the crowd outside the Puppet Hall had probably gathered for that reason, but in the end, they had still made way for me.

I shook my head before adjusting to the new reality.

The news reached the ears of Marie as well. She was immediately contacted by Elder Rowena. Elder Rowena asked her to help Zack Lockwood if he found himself in trouble in the future.

This time, Marie didn’t ask any questions. She agreed. She understood Zack Lockwood’s potential; he had already proven it by setting a new record.

The news also reached the ears of the higher-ups, including the rest of the council elders. They were shocked by the news. They had all underestimated the young man.

They realized that the foresight of Elder Jane was sharp.

The warriors from Dark Shadow University were now frustrated. They didn’t know how to target Zack Lockwood anymore.

So, they had decided to set some traps, but it turned out Silas had already spoiled their plan. They could not fool Zack Lockwood anymore.

The whole group was angry at Silas, but they couldn’t do anything about it.

Among them, Marcus didn’t give up. He still believed that the Purple Mark Heirs of other Warrior Families would take action.

However, he realized that wouldn’t happen right away. He needed to fan the flames. So, he instructed a few members to spread the news.

The rumor claimed that Zack Lockwood was the only Purple Mark Warrior who could achieve such a feat, implying the other Purple Mark Warriors were incapable of setting the record.

It sounded neutral. He didn’t want to directly provoke those young masters; otherwise, he would be easily exposed.

The members listened and liked the idea. Soon, the Red Mark Warriors began to hear this new rumor. After hearing it, they felt it made sense.

No one seemed to be deliberately spreading it. After Zack Lockwood set this record, the question would naturally arise, and the warriors would definitely want to see how the others responded.

20 minutes later,

The ordered food arrived at my room. I thanked the delivery person before paying the bill. The person didn’t seem to recognize me.

Relieved, I entered the room and shut the door.

Next, I began to feast while watching the news.

The monster meat was delicious. I forgot about the outside noise and everything else, simply focusing on the food.

As the food entered my body, its energy was quickly digested. I felt a slight tremor in my bones and cells.

"This?" I muttered.

"Your blood energy is ready for improvement. If you run the practice method, the energy from the consumed meat can be used to increase your strength," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.

Hearing that, my eyes gleamed.

Earlier, I had consumed monster cores for practice. It was a similar concept. This monster meat was definitely sourced from an above Class-10 monster, a significant resource.

So, I closed my eyes and began to circulate the blood method.

The blood-ring rune in my mind throbbed. As the throbbing intensified, trace amounts of blood force from the surroundings entered my body.

The blood energy flowed through my body. At the same time, a hazy red light appeared above the bloodstream.

Both the blood energy and the red light began to convert the consumed energy into a mysterious white light. The white light seemed a lot denser.

I was seeing it for the first time.

The white light entered the red skeleton and disappeared into it. After a long time, I felt an ache in my skeleton, a sign that there was room for improvement.

I opened my eyes and continued to eat another piece. I split my focus between two tasks: first, consuming the food; second, running the practice method.

Time passed.

One piece of food after another disappeared from the plate. By the time I finished, two hours had passed. Looking at the empty plate and then at myself, I found I was completely drenched in sweat.

I decided to take another shower, but before doing so, I asked the ancient spirit:

"How was it?"

"It worked. You can now train whenever you want," the ancient spirit’s voice replied.
