Chapter 1593: Part 2: Easy Mode
Puppet Hall
The left hand of the puppet was destroyed. The dent in the puppet’s chest had grown larger in size. Slowly, the puppet was losing its momentum.
Boom!
Seeing that, I decided to put an end to the second puppet. I slightly increased the density of the purple film on my hand.
Boom!
Then I landed my fist on the puppet’s chest again. A powerful detonation occurred. The destructive lightning power blasted the puppet away.
The puppet then flew backward before crashing to the ground. The strike had left behind a massive hole.
When the puppet was completely down, I looked at the platform again. I thought the easy mode was not over yet.
I had heard the conversations earlier. The Red Mark Warrior named Reece had fought against 20 puppets in the medium mode.
It wouldn’t exceed that number in easy mode. I was expecting at least 8 more puppets to appear.
Creak!
A third Red Mark Puppet appeared above the platform.
My mouth curved into an arc. It was the right time to test another power of mine. I withdrew the power of the purple lightning.
The purple coat disappeared. Then I circulated the purple shock force inheritance power without any fusion. A white silver force flowed through my body and finally reached my hand.
Boom!
The third Red Mark Puppet took off from the platform in a similar fashion. It got closer to me and tried to use the same type of fist techniques to attack me.
My perception covered the puppet. Compared to the first and second puppets, I noticed the arm speed of this puppet was faster.
I evaded the attacks one after another.
Boom!
The attacks of the puppet missed me, but created a booming noise. After finding an opportunity, I struck the puppet.
Smash!
When the shock force power came into contact with the puppet’s body, I immediately felt the shock force drilling into the metal frame.
Boom!
A deafening noise occurred.
I retreated. The puppet was forced backward. My gaze immediately fell on the puppet’s body; I saw a massive dent at the point of contact.
Seeing that, I decided to use the same amount of power to fight against the third puppet.
As time passed, more and more dents appeared on the puppet’s body, the shock force leaving behind a massive dent upon contact.
There was one major difference between the shock force power and the purple lightning power:
The consumption of the shock force power was less compared to the purple lightning force. I had landed only a few punches, but the puppet was already less active.
....
Meanwhile,
The news about Zack Lockwood’s arrival at the Training Camp quickly spread across the base. Thanks to the help desk assistant, the news became credible.
The warriors from Dark Shadow University were already looking for Zack Lockwood. Some even went to his residence to check, but they were late.
Only then did they get the news. Upon learning this, everyone departed for the camp.
Silas heard the news as well. He was on his way to the training camp; he wanted to watch the fun as well.
The two female warriors who wanted to recruit Zack Lockwood got the news as well. They too were close to Training Camp No. 1.
They would be reaching there soon. They couldn’t believe that they were lagging behind; they wanted to be the first to reach Training Camp No. 1.
They were worried that others would contact Zack Lockwood before them.
Time passed.
The first group reached Training Camp No. 1. They were the ones who had tried to contact Zack Lockwood at his flat, but had failed to reach him at the time.
Upon arriving there, the group began to look for Zack Lockwood. They immediately sent members to different facilities.
It didn’t take long for the group leader to find the answer.
Learning that Zack Lockwood was inside the Puppet Hall, the leader was shocked. He then led the others to the Puppet Hall. After arriving there, they came across Reece and his friends.
Reece saw them. His expression changed. He recognized the group; they were from Dark Shadow University.
"Reece, did you see the young man?" the leader asked.
"Marcus, who are you talking about?" Reece asked.
The leader’s name was Marcus. They were all from Dark Shadow University, but none of them would openly say it.
Marcus’s eyes flickered.
"I’m talking about the young man named Zack Lockwood. One of my men heard you guys talking about him," Marcus said to them.
He swept his gaze across the place. Then he saw the name on the device. The device displayed the person currently using the Puppet Hall.
Zack Lockwood’s name was displayed on the screen.
"Ha... Ha... Ha..." Upon seeing the name, he let out a laugh.
"He is inside. Looks like he went in just now. It won’t be long before he is kicked out by the Red Mark Puppet," Marcus said with a laugh.
"Ha... Ha... Ha..." his companions let out a laugh as well.
But Reece and his friends were not laughing. They were looking at them as if they were fools.
Marcus noticed that they were the only ones who were laughing. He stopped laughing and asked, "Do you guys know something?"
"It’s been half an hour since he went inside," the female warrior commented.
Quiet!
Silence filled the place.
Marcus’s smile disappeared, replaced by a thoughtful expression. He too knew that it had to be extraordinary for a Purple Mark Warrior to last for half an hour.
It meant that Zack Lockwood might have defeated two Red Mark level puppets already.
While he was thinking, the other members of Dark Shadow University understood what was going on. They too had used the Puppet Hall before.
They knew how it worked. The Puppet Hall puppets were not weak; the Red Mark Puppets could easily defeat an average Red Mark Warrior.
You had to be skilled to defeat the puppets.
Marcus then noticed that Zack Lockwood had entered after selecting easy mode. It didn’t matter whether he succeeded or not.
Sticking around for 30 minutes was already a big achievement.
