I walked out of the essence chamber. If I wanted, I could have practiced until morning. But I was able to do surprisingly better in healing hand practice.

Soon, I returned to the residence.

The following day,

I left the residence early for the medic centre. On the way, I got a message from Master Ann that she was waiting for me.

Swoosh!

Next, I used the flight ability. I appeared in mid air. Then I flew towards the Medic Centre. It didn’t take long for me to get there.

Thud!

I landed in front of the entrance. I saw many healers and warriors coming and going. It was a complete rush.

I even saw injured warriors with broken arms being carried back on stretchers. Their conditions were worsening.

If they weren’t treated quickly, they could become disabled.

I collected my thoughts and went inside. It didn’t take long for me to reach where Master Ann was. It was the last room in the corridor.

When I got there, I knocked on the door.

"Come in," Master Ann said.

Hearing that, I opened the door and entered the room.

I saw Master Ann and Dean Jerome standing there. There were two warriors lying down in separate beds.

The upper parts of both of their bodies were covered in dark energy. My expression changed drastically.

"How are they alive?" I asked.

"You are perceptive. They are being kept alive by me. Otherwise, the dark energy would have long since corroded their internals," Ann said in a serious tone.

"Zack, I heard everything from Master Ann. Are you ready to try your technique? These two are unconscious. No one will know about your healing element," Dean Jerome said.

"I’m ready to try," I replied.

Then Master Ann told me to operate on either one of them. But both of them were badly affected.

I walked up to the first one. I used my mental power to spread around. The mental power entered the body. Then I saw the picture inside the body.

The dark energy latched onto the veins, meridians, and other vitals like parasites. I began to use the healing hand under the gaze of the two.

The healing energy reached up to my right arm. Soon, my hand was covered in healing energy. I touched the abdomen and checked the dantian.

Using my mental power, I saw that the dark energy was trying to attack the dantian. But there was already healing energy around the dantian.

Seeing that, I understood that it must be the healing energy left by Master Ann.

Then I used the healing hand to seep the healing energy inside. I had not done this before, so I wasn’t sure about the results.

Master Ann and Dean Jerome were tense as well. They had never seen Zack Lockwood using healing energy before.

As time passed, to my internal surprise, the healing energy got inside the victim’s body and came in contact with the healing energy.

I immediately felt a sense of retaliation from the dark energy. I tried using the healing energy against the dark energy.

The dark energy was stopped for some time.

Both Master Ann and Dean Jerome were watching this play out. Master Ann was visibly relaxed.

She had been worried that Zack Lockwood might not be able to project the healing energy outward.

Yet Zack Lockwood was able to do that, and with good control.

Dean Jerome’s eyes flashed with surprise. He thought Zack Lockwood would become a nightmare for the whole foreign creature world in the future.

If he became a Master in healing techniques, then Zack Lockwood could save himself. He thought that was how Zack Lockwood had survived in the warrior camps and at the boundary.

As time passed, the momentum of the dark energy slowed down. Some part of the dark energy was destroyed by the healing energy.

He was able to stop one of the many dark energy streams from attacking the dantian. But it was taking more time than he thought. It took him 10 minutes to destroy a small part of the dark energy.

Master Ann noticed it as well.

She said, "Your healing energy is working. But it’s taking time. If this goes on, it might take more than a day to completely heal one person."

Dean Jerome said, "He doesn’t have much time. He has one free day tomorrow, and he is going somewhere else then."

Hearing that, Ann said, "Dean, you know that we lack manpower. We need the help of every healer right now."

"I know our current situation. But the situation of Zack Lockwood is different. I cannot make decisions regarding him anymore. It’s an order from the higher ups," Dean Jerome said.

"Order from the higher ups?" Ann uttered in shock.

She had never heard Dean Jerome use the term ’higher ups’ before, because he was the higher up to them.

To think he was using the term higher ups, she immediately understood the meaning behind the words.

She then took a deep breath and calmed down the storm in her heart.

She said, "Zack, you don’t have to do this. You can take a rest."

Hearing their conversation, I felt bad. If I could help, I was ready to use the remaining time to heal others.

"Wait a second!"

"I haven’t tried one method yet," I said to Master Ann and Dean Jerome.

Master Ann and Dean Jerome were taken aback. They were ready to see what Zack Lockwood was up to.

On the other hand, I began to circulate the shock force power along with the healing force. This was a crazy idea. I didn’t know whether this method would work.

But I had used the shock force against the horned humanoid in the battle. The horned humanoid had relied on the dark energy to attack me.

Yet the shock force power was able to destroy it. I wondered how the combination of healing force and shock force would work.

When the two kinds of force circulated inside my body, I didn’t feel any rejection. The shock force power easily fused with the healing force.

I felt the new force was way stronger. I decided to use it against the dark energy inside the patient.
