Puppet Hall

I walked into the hall. I came across the wide space again. My gaze immediately fell on the platform.

Creak!

The platform door opened. A Red Mark Puppet appeared above the platform.

Swoosh!

Upon seeing me, the puppet bolted out from the platform and came shooting towards me.

Seeing that, I didn’t react, but I circulated the purple lightning power. I didn’t use any lightning technique.

Thunder!

A dark purple lightning bolt appeared at the tip of my index finger. The purple lightning bolt was small in size, but it was dark purple in color.

I activated my perception. Right then, the Red Mark Puppet appeared a few inches before me with a punch.

My eyes caught every detail and piece of information.

Just before the puppet’s punch could land on my face, I shot the small dark purple lightning bolt at the puppet.

The dark purple bolt came into contact with the puppet’s body.

Boom!

A detonation occurred. The dark purple lightning pierced straight through the puppet’s chest. The remaining power blasted the puppet away from the spot.

The broken puppet’s body flew backward before crashing into the ground.

Thud!

The shock force rippled through the puppet hall.

A hint of shock appeared in my eyes.

It was because this wasn’t even a purple lightning technique, but just a simple lightning bolt.

Earlier, I had used proper lightning finger techniques to destroy the Red Mark Puppet. I realized I didn’t even need that now.

The Dark Purple Lightning Sprout had improved the power of my lightning.

"I told you. With the current power of your lightning element, you should not be afraid of anyone in the Tier-3 region," the ancient spirit’s voice said in my mind.

"You are right. That’s why I have decided to focus on other elements now. It’s time to improve them as well," I replied.

"You can try creating a shock force layer like the purple lightning layer you developed earlier," the ancient spirit suggested.

My eyes flickered.

"Okay," I replied.

Creak!

It didn’t take long for the second Red Mark Puppet to appear. Our conversation ended. I focused on clearing the medium mode faster.

Then I would get another day off, and I could focus on other elements.

...

Outside,

The news had spread all over the United City. Even the administration office and the Council Elders’ office got the news.

After the poor performance of the Red Mark Warriors in the other nine secret land battlefields, the Council Elders had made training a priority.

But the staff didn’t expect the people to skip the training. When the news reached the ears of the council elders, they felt it was a new type of headache.

They understood that the Red Mark Warriors had gathered to watch Zack Lockwood’s record.

They realized that everyone would leave once Zack Lockwood came out of the puppet hall, so they didn’t take any action for now.

Rather, they were interested in Zack Lockwood’s current situation, knowing that he had chosen medium mode to fight.

The council elders had no doubt that he would clear the mode with ease.

On the other hand, Rowena was worried about something else. The news about Zack Lockwood was great; they needed such a warrior to lead the next generation.

Apart from Zack Lockwood, there were some genius Red Mark Warriors who could kill the Red Mark Foreign Creatures, but their numbers were few.

On the other hand, the foreign creatures had created thousands of killing machines.

Rowena was worried that information about Zack Lockwood could reach the enemy.

If the foreign creatures decided to eliminate Zack Lockwood, they would do something dangerous next time.

It could endanger not only Zack Lockwood’s life, but also hundreds of other Red Mark Warriors across other secret land battlefields.

Like her, a few others saw through the matter. They worried about what might happen next. Rowena decided to consult with her friend Freya.

This matter needed to be reported to Quasi-God Jane.

On the other hand, the Star University Council Elders were discussing the same matter as well. It was a mix of both happy and sad news.

They could be happy about the fact that Zack Lockwood’s existence would motivate other warriors. Even the rival universities would work hard to send their best warriors.

But the sad news was that they could not keep the news secret for too long. There were hidden eyes and ears. The whole United City knew about Zack Lockwood and his achievements.

The foreign creatures would definitely learn about the news.

...

Tier-3 (Main Post)

Meanwhile,

The news about Zack Lockwood reached the main post as well. The main post was one level higher than the Sub-Post, including the secret land battlefields and the Red Mark Warriors. The Red Mark Warriors here were close to becoming Quasi-Gods.

A few broke through each year out of thousands to become Quasi-Gods. The secret land battlefields here could be called a grueling place.

The foreign creatures they fought against were not ordinary foreign creatures.

They included elite races such as the Horned Humanoids, Dead Fangs, and Venom Maws. But the Thorn Reaper hadn’t made an appearance.

It was a one-time appearance that had happened in the Tier-4 region. Now the news about Zack Lockwood started spreading like wildfire.

Some operations, such as logistics, took place between the two areas. The staff who went there brought this shocking news back to the main post.

It didn’t take long for the whole main post to learn about it. Most of them felt the news was exaggerated. That was because no one had ever slaughtered the foreign creatures alone and won a secret land battlefield.

As time passed, everyone was discussing it, including the warriors from the six universities, family forces, and other medium- and small-sized forces.

The warriors of Star University were even more shocked. They didn’t expect such a monstrous genius to appear. What was more, the person was from their very own university.

There were also other Red Mark Warriors who were from the Thunderflame Faction. They were friends of Faction Leader Clifford.

When they heard the news, they were the happiest. They didn’t expect a prodigy to appear from their Thunderflame Faction. It was great news for them.

They thought the person might come to their Tier-3 Main Post soon. They, too, found the news hard to believe.

But there was no denial from the administration or the council, so the news had to be true.
