Chapter 1611: Going Back to Puppet Hall

United City - (Tier-3 Sub-Post)

I decided to go to the puppet hall after some time. First, I went to the bathroom to take a shower. I spent 20 minutes in the bath. The cold shower refreshed me.

After coming out, I changed into a fresh uniform.

Then I began to get ready. After finishing everything, I went to the sofa and lay down on it.

One hour later,

I checked the time on my device. I felt it was the right time to go. Then I left the room and took the elevator to reach the ground floor.

Then I left the residential area and came to the main street. I saw many cabs passing by. One of them stopped before me. I told the driver to take me to Training Camp 1.

The driver was visibly shocked because he recognized Zack Lockwood. He had seen the face on the news. He then collected his thoughts and agreed to drop me off at the camp.

I opened the door and sat down in the back seat. The cab driver started the car. The car hovered in the air. It then departed from the spot.

I watched the passing scenery. From time to time, I felt the driver looking at me. I saw through his thoughts. I knew he recognized me. It was because of the news. The whole United City had heard of it by now.

20 minutes later,

The driver was not talkative. He safely brought his passenger to Training Camp 1. I exited the car and paid the fare to the driver.

"Thanks for saving the lives of the people," the driver said before leaving.

Hearing that, I was stunned. I didn’t see that coming. Then I headed to the puppet hall. As I entered the glass building, I walked through the hallways.

I remembered the route from before, so I easily followed the directions and arrived at the puppet hall.

But the scene there shocked me. There was a long line of people waiting for their turn. I walked up to the place. My arrival drew attention. Everyone looked toward me.

Gasp!

A loud gasp sounded across the area. There might have been fifty people gathered there.

"He is here!"

"Is he going to try the easy mode again?"

"I didn’t expect Zack Lockwood to come."

"How strong is he?"

The warriors started to murmur one after another.

As I walked forward, the line began to part. The warriors made way for me. I arrived in front of the door, where a middle-aged man was standing.

"Are you next?" I asked.

The middle-aged man was a Red Mark Warrior. Taken aback, he recognized Zack Lockwood as well. He was curious about what the young man would do next.

So, he said, "If you want, you can go next."

Hearing that, I replied, "Thanks."

Then I waited for the door to open. Someone was inside fighting against the puppets. When my gaze fell on the mode display, I noticed that the person had selected Easy Mode.

He would come out soon.

Meanwhile, the line had disbanded. Instead, everyone gathered together. They had heard the conversation as well. They were curious about what Zack Lockwood was going to do next.

They were wondering whether Zack Lockwood would select Easy Mode again. Some had already started sharing the news.

They posted it online. It didn’t take long for the post to gain more views. Others sent messages to their friends.

Meanwhile,

Reece and his friends were at Training Camp 2. They got the news as well. They immediately exited the training room there.

The group of friends headed back to Training Camp 1. Zack Lockwood had come out. They were curious about his actions. If they didn’t go, they wouldn’t be able to focus on their training.

On the other hand, the news reached the ears of Marcus and the others as well. They had been warned by the council elders, so they didn’t dare cause trouble again.

But that didn’t mean they couldn’t watch the drama. They wanted to know what Zack Lockwood was doing right now. They couldn’t miss out on the fun.

So they headed to Training Camp 1. The same thing happened with Julia, who was with her black-haired friend.

Both of them changed their plans and headed to Training Camp 1. Not all of them were happy about the news, however. There was one person who was admitted among the many injured people at the hospital.

That person was none other than Silas. Old Man Silas had participated in the 3rd Secret Land battlefield. He was heavily injured. He had somehow been saved by his fellow warriors and brought back to the hospital.

He couldn’t move his body; both of his legs were crushed. Whenever he was awake, he heard the constant praise of Zack Lockwood. It made his mood even worse.

He knew why Zack Lockwood was able to do that. He knew Zack Lockwood had more than one Inheritance. If that news were made public, it would increase the young man’s fame even more.

Instead, he decided to share the details with the foreign creatures in exchange for resources. He couldn’t do that here, but he could do it inside the Secret Land battlefield.

Right now, he was waiting to recover completely. Once the foreign creatures learned about Zack Lockwood, they would do everything to kill him.

...

Puppet Hall

The gate opened ten minutes later. A veteran Red Mark Warrior appeared. He was in his forties, but he walked out fine. The display showed that he had cleared Easy Mode.

I nodded to the veteran before using my access card.

Buzz!

My access card was scanned and my name appeared on the display. Then I looked toward the different modes. I pressed the button for Medium Mode.

Then I walked inside the hall. The door behind me shut automatically.

Gasp!

A loud gasp sounded across the place. They hadn’t expected Zack Lockwood to choose Medium Mode.

They had thought he would choose Easy Mode again, but a few understood that since he had cleared Easy Mode without any trouble, he could now clear Medium Mode.

After the Secret Land battle, no one doubted his strength anymore.
