Chapter 1584: Part 1: Tier-3 Sub-Post
Meeting Hall
"Zack Lockwood, young man, you have grown stronger again. I cannot see through you," Faction Leader Clifford said.
Hearing that, the main elders became serious. Main Elders Austin and Ann were there. They weren’t very surprised,
Because they had already felt a sense of crisis from Zack Lockwood.
"Faction Leader, you overpraise me. My strength is not enough," I said to him.
Faction Leader Clifford nodded his head. He didn’t feel Zack Lockwood was lying. He knew Zack Lockwood had faced an Elite Race Dead Fang before.
So the young man needed to grow stronger continuously to face the upcoming challenges.
"Zack, how many attacks did it take to kill the Dead Fang?" Leola asked.
"Main Elder, I emptied my dantian to kill it. The Dead Fang was not an easy kill," I replied to her.
Obviously, I was not going to tell them about the Thorn Reaper. That foreign creature was deadly in the truest sense.
The discussion continued for half an hour before ending. The meeting was shorter than expected.
I left the meeting hall and went back to the residence. Everyone seemed to know what my next destination would be, but they didn’t ask me.
After going back to the room, I rested.
The following day,
After getting ready, I stepped outside. Someone was waiting for me. The person was none other than the Purple Mark Guard.
I greeted him. He nodded his head and said, "Follow me."
He didn’t have to grab my shoulder. He appeared in mid-l air. Seeing that, I used my flight ability to follow him.
Swoosh!
In the blink of an eye, we exited the campus space and headed towards a secret location.
At the same time, Faction Leader Clifford and Main Elders Austin, Ann, Leola, Cathy, and Rosie saw the departing figures in the sky.
They didn’t expect Zack Lockwood to grow stronger in such a short period of time. They felt time had passed fast.
Not only them, but Faction Leader Francesca also saw the disappearing back of Zack Lockwood. Zack Lockwood was her clan member.
Apart from the ancient inheritance, she knew that bloodline inheritance played a role in Zack Lockwood’s strength.
She too guessed what the next destination of Zack Lockwood would be. She recalled one of their clan elders stationed there, as told by her parents.
But she had not seen the elder herself. Since she couldn’t verify it, she didn’t tell Zack Lockwood about it.
On the other hand, Dean Jerome saw the two figures leaving the campus space. He hoped that the young man would survive his next ordeal.
If he survived that, then he would grow even stronger. Maybe a time would come when he could address him as an elder.
....
Time passed.
Both of us reached a mountain range a few hours later.
This natural area was located in our territory, but I was here for the first time.
"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"There is a teleportation platform here," the Purple Mark Guard said.
A look of understanding dawned on me.
He then went towards the foot of the mountain. Seeing that, I followed him from behind. Soon, we reached the mountain base.
The Purple Mark Guard did not stop there. Next, he went towards the crevices there. Seeing that, I followed him again.
He entered inside one of the crevices. I entered next. We went further inside the crevice passage until we came across the platform at the end.
Seeing that it was easy to find the platform, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I looked towards him.
"Elder, does this place have no protection?" I asked.
The Purple Mark Guard shook his head and said, "I have relocated all the Class-12 and Class-13 monsters living in the area for the time being. I have also shut down a few restrictions."
My doubts were cleared the next second.
The Purple Mark Guard didn’t speak much. He went into action. He inserted the special key and activated the platform.
The circular, disk-like platform became energized.
"You can go inside," the Purple Mark Guard casually said to me.
Hearing that, my mouth twitched.
"Whom should I meet?" I asked.
"There will be someone to guide you. Now go inside first," the Purple Mark Guard said.
He always spoke little. I didn’t expect to gather any more answers from him. I stepped onto the disk.
Swoosh!
I had my stuff inside the storage ring. There was nothing left in the residence right now. I looked toward the Purple Mark Guard.
I didn’t know when I would see him again.
Buzz!
The next second, I felt a dark space envelop me. I was teleporting to the next location. I had to wait for five minutes before I saw the light again.
Creak!
The door opened automatically. The light illuminated the place. Then I saw that I was standing on the disk.
Seeing that, I stepped outside. I was greeted by extremely rich, green scenery. I looked around and found a large beach ahead, gently touched by small tides.
"Sea," I uttered.
"No, we are located in the middle of the ocean!"
I heard a deep male voice from behind. Hearing that, I turned around and saw an old man in his sixties.
"Wow!"
"You entered a new place. I’m going to hide the Guardian God’s Inheritance. That old man is not simple," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.
The next second, I found the golden shield rune in my mind covered by something. Not only that, but the Golden Sealing Force in the dantian was gone as well.
The old man had short white hair. He was wearing a combat uniform, as if he had just walked out of a training facility to greet me.
The old man didn’t talk much, simply observing the Purple Mark kid. His gaze penetrated the dantian.
He could have pried into the young man’s mind, but it could have been damaging, so he checked the dantian instead.
He saw different inheritances, and all of them were ancient inheritances. His expression turned serious. Now he understood why the higher ups wanted the kid here.
In particular, Elder Jane wanted them to train the young man properly. He could become a killing machine against the foreign creatures.
