Chapter 1585: Part 2: Tier-3 Sub-Post
Tier-3 Sub-Post
"Kid, welcome to the Tier-3 Sub-Post. My name is Silas. You can call me Elder Silas. I’m a Red Mark Warrior," Silas said to me.
Hearing that, I greeted him back.
"Hello, Elder. My name is Zack Lockwood. It’s nice to meet you," I said.
I didn’t want to say anything further. I recalled the advice given by Dean Jerome. He had wasted half a day on that.
"Follow me. I will take you to your residence and explain the rules." After saying that, Elder Silas turned around and started walking.
Seeing that, I began to follow him from behind. Then I noticed the platform was inside one of the towering buildings.
It was not isolated and protected. Then my gaze swept across the glass buildings on the other side.
There were also flying vehicles going from one side of the city to another.
My heart was stirred. I had imagined something else, but the place looked like any modern city. Then I recalled the place could be like the Tier-5 and Tier-4 regions.
It might have cities, but not in one place. I shook my head. I didn’t want to assume anything before the old man said something.
At the same time, I found pure energy from the surroundings entering my body. I needed a place to practice and adapt.
Seeing that the old man was quiet, I asked, "Elder, tell me about the Tier-3 Sub-Post."
Hearing that, Silas was not surprised.
He said, "You must be assuming there are cities here."
My mouth twitched. I made the right decision not to over imagine things first.
"The Tier-3 Sub-Post is collectively called United City. There are no other cities here. As the name suggests, warriors from different backgrounds and organizations live, train, and fight here," Silas said.
At the same time, I was digesting the information. No wonder Dean Jerome told me not to cause problems. There were no separate organizations here.
"The Tier-3 Region is vast. Most of it is filled with residential areas and training facilities. The main place is the council building, where the elders make important decisions."
"There are some exceptional Purple Mark Warriors here like you. But you don’t have to worry. You have already caught the attention of Elder Jane. No one will trouble you," Silas said.
"Don’t trust him. I felt a slight malice from his words," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded in my mind.
Hearing that, my back went cold. I stopped following him.
Silas was walking forward, but then he felt that I was not following him anymore.
His expression changed. But he controlled his emotions and turned around.
"What happened?" Silas asked.
"No, I can look around by myself," I replied.
Hearing that, Silas’s eyes flashed with anger.
Right then, a female Red Mark Warrior appeared. She was dressed in a combat uniform. Her name was Marie.
"Silas, what are you doing here?" Marie asked.
Silas didn’t expect her arrival. He quickly said, "I was guiding a new member to his residence."
Marie’s eyes flashed with coldness. Her body radiated red moon energy, revealing that she was from the Red Moon University.
"Who told you to do that?"
"It was my job," Marie said.
"Ha... ha... ha... I thought you were busy. Now that you are back, I’m leaving right now." After saying that, Silas slipped away from the place. But he didn’t forget to give a cold glance at Zack Lockwood.
On the other hand, I didn’t know what was going on. The elder turned out to be a bad guy.
"The woman is a kind hearted one. You can trust her," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded.
"How do you know?" I asked the question in my mind.
"Well, I’m an ancient spirit. I can tell," the voice sounded again in my mind.
While I was having a conversation with the ancient spirit, the female warrior walked up to me.
"I apologize. I didn’t expect a Dark Shadow University warrior to deceive you," Marie said.
Hearing that, I was completely taken aback.
"How does he know?" I asked.
Marie smiled and said, "The whole United City knows the news. Every time the United City welcomes warriors from the Tier-4 region, it is announced. That is because Red Mark Warriors are fewer in number compared to Purple Mark Warriors."
"Each additional member increases the strength of the fighting squad here," Marie said.
I couldn’t help but recall the advice of Dean Jerome. No wonder he sounded worried.
"Let me take you to your room," she said.
Hearing that, I nodded and followed her. We exited the current building. She then stopped a cab. We entered inside and sat in the back seat.
I was surprised that no additional screening was done. The cab departed from the place. It was moving through mid air. I saw tall skyscrapers.
Marie noticed the gaze of Zack Lockwood and said, "That tallest one is the council building, where the important decisions are made."
Hearing that, I observed the building. But I was shocked by another fact: the cab driver was a Red Mark Warrior.
Then I thought of something and asked, "I heard that the Tier-3 region is vast."
Marie nodded her head and said, "Did Silas tell you?"
I nodded my head.
A cold glint flashed in her eyes.
"It appears he really had malicious intentions. The Tier-3 Region is divided into the Sub-Post and the Main Post. We are in the Sub-Post right now. This area is smaller. When you become a Red Mark Warrior, you will have access to enter the Main Post," Marie said.
My eyes flashed with understanding.
"So, what’s the malicious intention about?" I asked.
Marie took a deep breath and said, "There is a restricted area between the Sub-Post and the Main Post. If you approach the restricted area with your Purple Mark strength, you will be killed by the energy there."
My heart turned cold.
"Told you. That old man was ready to kill you earlier," the ancient spirit’s voice sounded in my mind.
Marie saw the reaction of Zack Lockwood.
She saw through his thoughts and said, "If you don’t become a Red Mark Warrior soon, you will face these types of schemes and traps. The elders only value Red Mark Warriors."
"Thank you," I said to her.
