Chapter 1590: Heading to Training Camp
Tier-3 Sub-Post
In the essence chamber, I lost track of time. Only when I hit my limit did I realize that inspiration had stopped coming.
I opened my eyes. My gaze flashed with confusion. It had been a long time since I experienced such inspiration.
Because of it, I was able to understand the purple lightning power more.
I extended my right hand and applied my new understanding of the purple lightning power. A purple film covered my right hand.
It appeared like a glove, but when I looked closer, I saw the purple film was made of tiny purple lightning arcs.
My mouth curved into an arc. I didn’t expect to make such a leap after my first day of practice here.
There must be some reason behind it. I didn’t make such progress back in the Tier-4 region. Both of them were essence chambers, so what was the reason?
Suddenly, something clicked in my mind.
"Special Energy," I uttered.
"Ancient Spirit, is this increase in understanding related to the special energy here?" I asked the Ancient Spirit.
"You asked the question to the right person. Now you understand why the Red Mark Warriors are here. Only a few stayed back in the Tier-4 region," the Ancient Spirit replied.
A quick gleam appeared in my eyes. I was worried earlier, wondering whether my current strength was enough to handle the seniors.
I had somehow killed the Thorn Reaper, but that didn’t mean I should be overconfident. It took everything I had to kill that foreign creature.
Moreover, I couldn’t disclose much here, especially the power of the Guardian God. The Ancient Spirit had actively hidden that power.
"Ancient Spirit, why did you hide that Guardian God’s Inheritance power?" I asked.
The Ancient Spirit didn’t expect the question. It showed that Zack Lockwood was paying attention.
"You have already come into contact with Red Mark Warriors. In the future, you could come in contact with powerhouses far above them."
"If the news about the Guardian God’s Inheritance inside you is leaked, you will be dead. Neither the human side nor the foreign creature side will spare you," the Ancient Spirit said.
Hearing that, my back went cold.
"Are you joking with me?" I asked.
"You may not understand the full power of the Sealing Inheritance, but it is beyond your imagination. I will reveal some information when you go past the Red Mark rank." After saying that, the Ancient Spirit fell silent.
"Again, this silence," I uttered.
Then I took my device and checked the time. I was taken aback again. I had spent another whole day in practice—and that was just understanding one of the ancient Inheritances.
There were only a few hours left before sunrise. I stood up and went to the board to turn off the switch.
The energy in the room began to recede. Then I walked out of the chamber, went to the sofa, and lay down.
A few hours later,
At sunrise, I woke up. I took the device and saw some new messages. I opened the messages and read them one by one.
It was a message sent by the administration. They had sent me today’s schedule. Today’s schedule was to spend time in Training Camp No. 1.
I could ask the cab service to take me there. The other messages were about the training camp rules.
It was like any other place: infighting was strictly prohibited. Here, everyone came under the single identity of the United City.
Faction groupings were prohibited here. I didn’t know whether that was a joke, because I had seen the warriors from Dark Shadow University roaming in groups.
I believed the rules were not that strict. After I finished reading, I had gained some understanding of the place. The rest would have to be learned from experience.
Then I got off the sofa and went to take a bath. I spent twenty minutes in the bath before coming out.
I took the new uniform from the storage ring and put it on.
20 minutes later,
After getting ready, I left the room. I used the elevator to reach the ground floor. After getting there, it took a five minute walk to reach the main street.
I came across cab drivers waiting for customers. I approached one of them and told him the destination.
The driver agreed to take me there. Then I entered the cab and sat down in the back seat.
Buzz!
The cab departed from the place. I noticed that the driver was a Red Mark Warrior as well. The cab driver didn’t say anything.
I closed my eyes and waited to reach the destination.
10 minutes later,
The cab stopped in front of a facility. I opened my eyes and looked through the window. A large rectangular glass building appeared in my view.
"Is this the place?" I asked the driver.
The driver nodded his head. Then I exited the cab and paid the fare to the driver.
Swoosh!
The cab driver then left with the cab. Once he drove away, I turned toward the glass building.
I looked around to find the entrance and used my mental power. Soon, I saw the entry gate. I was in my new black uniform of the Tier-3 Sub-Post.
I recalled Senior Marie saying that the access card could be used as an ID card. I walked through the entrance and came across office rooms on both sides of the corridor.
My gaze immediately fell on the help desk. I walked up to the counter and saw a female Red Mark Warrior. Her eyes were closed.
I decided to be careful and not fall into any traps.
"Cough," I let out a light cough.
Hearing that, the female warrior opened her eyes. She was a middle-aged woman. She saw a new face standing in front of her, which happened to be a young Purple Mark Warrior.
She had not seen many Purple Mark Warriors in this place.
"Who are you?"
"How can I help you?" she asked.
"Hi, my name is Zack Lockwood. I have a schedule to attend Training Camp No. 1," I replied.
The female warrior was taken aback. She had heard the name from the news earlier.
