By the time Lin Feng and the two women reached the cafeteria, all the Tier Two Genetic Warriors had already finished eating. They were now in another building, having their Physique data tested.

Lin Feng ordered some meat and carbohydrates, and after picking up their various bowls, he and the two women sat in a secluded spot by the cafeteria window.

"With your current cellular strength, you can begin to try and change the way your cells perform Energy Absorption."

"Why can a Tier Four Life form exist for so long in the Cosmos? Besides their incredibly high physical strength, their mastery of the Electromagnetic Force is also exquisite, allowing them to directly absorb solar energy for their own use."

Lin Feng nodded, lost in thought.

Beside them, Liu Yueqi kept her head down, slurping her noodles, not daring to interject.

The high-voltage current instantly tore the skin on his palm, destroyed the cells, and continued deeper, traveling along his blood vessels and muscles up into his arm.

Lin Feng’s brow furrowed. Feeling the numbing, stinging sensation already reaching the vital organs in his chest, he hastily pulled his hand back.

He then looked down to see the wound on his palm, which had been zapped to a charred, blackened yellow. The smell of scorched flesh wafted from it...

"Pfft—"

Ling Yi couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

"I told you to try it, not to jump straight to a hundred thousand volts! Start by adapting to a few dozen volts. Once your cells can actually derive life-sustaining energy from it, then you can think about increasing the voltage."

Lin Feng shook his paralyzed hand. The wound on his palm healed completely within a dozen seconds, leaving no trace.

Putting away the Electromagnetic Cannon, he looked at Ling Yi and asked,

"Then how do the Pulse War Scorpions adapt to their Pulse Tail Cannons? They’re only a Tier Two Zerg Race."

Ling Yi shook her head.

"That thing isn’t grown by the Pulse War Scorpions themselves. They, along with the Tank Flame Beetles and the Samurai Hunter Zergs, are all Mixed Blood Species. They’re synthesized by piggybacking off of Tier Two Zerg Eggs."

"The Pulse Tail Cannon is a piece of biotechnology developed in the past by the High-tier Zerg Race. It’s the equivalent of a long-range cannon. It just so happened to be compatible with the scorpions on Blue Star, so they were grafted together."

"But even so, the Pulse Tail Cannon is a piece of biotechnology that can only be fully mastered at Tier Three. Therefore, the ones on the Tier Two Pulse War Scorpions are a neutered, scaled-down version. The Tier Three Pulse War Scorpions are the ones that have the complete version."

"And their attacks can form an electromagnetic pulse network in outer space, powerful enough to tear apart space Battleships."

"Once you step into Tier Three, you’ll be able to withstand at least a thousand volts, and you’ll be able to choose new ways of acquiring energy as well."

"At that time, you’ll have..."

Just then, Ling Yi suddenly lowered her voice. She had sensed someone else appear at the entrance.

A glance revealed it was Director Ling, who had come over after tidying up the Underground experimental base.

"Never mind. It’s no use you knowing now, anyway. We can talk about it after you reach Tier Three."

Ling Yi shook her head and said no more.

Ling Shuyan, dressed in a white lab coat, strode over.

His hands were clasped on the table as he shook his head.
