Lu Yu raised his hand and pinched the space between his brows. He knew that if Bai Meiyue wanted, she could have dealt with this matter easily, but she deliberately left Lu Yin and Dacheng in his hands because she wanted to cause trouble for him.

Even though the woman had never said anything, Lu Yu knew that Bai Meiyue blamed him for letting go of Lu Yin and not dealing with her when they had the time.

"Miss Bai..." Lu Yu began to speak but Bai Meiyue didn’t give him a chance. She raised her hand and glanced at the man with a smile which wasn’t a smile. "I did give your sister a chance but she didn’t appreciate it. Who can you blame but her?"

Bai Meiyue didn’t think that she was being cruel. She had repeatedly warned Lu Yu that if Lu Yin provoked her again, she would definitely retaliate but the man had not taken her words seriously.

Did Lu Yu think he could avoid responsibility by making excuses for his sister? Bai Meiyue curled her lips and refused at once. The one who tied the knot should be the one to untie it.

Since Lu Yu was the one who refused to give up on his sister then he needed to pay for his actions.

Bai Meiyue turned around on her feet and walked away leaving Lu Yu behind as for whether that man would be able to deal with Lu Yin or not, Bai Meiyue didn’t care about it.

After all, at that very moment she had a lot of things to worry about. For example, the rising cramps that were getting more and more severe with each passing second.

"Master Lu, what do you think we should do?" One of the team members, Lu Yu, couldn’t help but ask. They knew that Lu Yin was Lu Yu’s sister and even though the two of them were standing against one another, they were still worried. What if Lu Yu ended up going against them? They were not as strong as Lu Yu. If things ended up going wrong then there was a very good chance that they would be the ones who would be killed in the end.

These people were not foolish enough to go against their leader!

"Let’s go." Lu Yu knew that even if he wanted to avoid the confrontation it was going to be impossible. He could only grit his teeth and continue following Bai Meiyue’s command because as much as he wanted to ignore Bai Meiyue’s orders, he knew that there was no turning around this situation.

When the members heard Lu Yu’s command they all looked at one another before turning to look away. They had no idea what was going on but at the same time they also knew that they were going to be dragged into a mess that they had no way to control.

On the other hand, when Bai Meiyue walked down the watchtower, Weiguo rushed toward her and knelt in front of her. With his hands on the ground, the boy kowtowed in front of her.

"Thank you! Thank you! I will never forget the grace that you have shown me." The boy cried as his head started to hit the ground.

Bai Meiyue raised her hand to stop it from happening. She looked at the boy whose forehead was almost on the verge of bleeding and said calmly, "I am not a tyrant and this is not an ancient organisation where you have to treat me as your lord. Men are said to have gold under their knees so don’t kneel in front of others without a valid reason for your submission."

Weiguo was at an age at which he could understand what Bai Meiyue was telling him. He was full of precious wisdom. He nodded heavily and stood up like a little adult. He solemnly said to Bai Meiyue, "Thank you leader, I promise that I will work hard."

"There is no need to thank me just yet." Bai Meiyue waved her hand as she mysteriously glanced at the boy. Though she said nothing, she did warn the boy in her own way. Though she sent Lu Yu to save the boy’s sister, Bai Meiyue knew that the chances of the boy’s sister surviving this mess were very low.

After all, she was a young and beautiful woman and given that Lu Yin had never cared about the women in her team, the chances of the woman being alive were close to none.

However, she didn’t want to be the harbinger of bad news so she stayed quiet. Anyway, this matter had nothing to do with her. She knew that it was wrong of her to ignore the plight of the young boy but in the end, there were some things that she could not deal with.

The boy didn’t understand what Bai Meiyue meant but Lu Yu who came down the watchtower did. He paused and his expression turned ashen. He knew what Bai Meiyue was trying to say but in his heart he hoped that it was not the truth because if it was then he had no idea what he was going to do. Or how was he going to deal with his sister in the end?

Because if the woman was truly dead then there was a good chance that Bai Meiyue would definitely tell him that he was dead wrong. That Lu Yin was never the kind of person he believed her to be.

Pursing his lips, he walked past Bai Meiyue, determined to prove to her that his sister might be wrong in many ways; she would never watch a woman die in front of her and that too after being tormented by a bunch of men.

While he did have some hope when it came to his sister, Lu Yu couldn’t bring himself to blindly trust Lu Yin and that was when he realised that maybe he too seemed to have realised that his sister might have changed after all.
