Derulo City University.

Treehill Society.

In an office.

Treehill stared at his phone screen. An expression of shock appeared on his face.

"How is this possible?" he said.

His phone buzzed.

Hourglass was calling.

He picked up the call.

Her voice vibrated from the other side.

"You saw the news, right?" she said.

"Yeah. I can’t believe this is happening. He’s actually an advanced rank 1 warrior now. And the fact that instructor Ashira appeared right there..." Treehill said.

"He has her backing," Hourglass said. "She used her appearance to announce that."

"What do we do?" Treehill said.

"People like instructor Ashira won’t coddle him. She probably did what she did to ward off influential powers that may try to harm him in case he refuses any offers to join them," Hourglass said.

"That means we can still kill him. She won’t make any moves against us for that?" Treehill said.

"Exactly. But this guy was able to tactically get rid of advanced, expert, and legendary rank 1 creatures. We can’t attack him when he leaves the university for a mission. He can use the environment to his advantage. How about we kill him in the death arenas?" Hourglass suggested.

"We should try that. There’s no way he will be able to take on the two of us. He’s powerful. But he just became an advanced rank 1 warrior," Treehill said.

The afternoon was snowy and misty.

But the campus was lively as usual.

Several couples walked in pairs, male hands clutching female hands.

The weather was made for couples. And these youth in their prime decided to take advantage of the situation.

Others who were simply with their friends discussed various topics. However, almost every conversation mentioned Aiden Vhorn and his teammates. The group that had closed the special rank 1 gate.

Anyway, a van pulled to a stop before Aiden’s villa.

"I’ll be looking forward to that duel," Desmonda said as Aiden stepped out.

Aiden nodded politely. He waved at the others and walked towards his villa.

The van drove off.

"Who are we dropping next?" Luke said.

"Technically, I was about to say Asmodeus, but since we are an item now, I guess I’m spending the night at his place," Seraphina grinned shamelessly.

Asmodeus looked so thick-skinned that it was ridiculous to watch.

Everyone broke into laughter.

"Seriously, dude. You should learn to be less uptight," Candice sighed.

"As if Aiden is not uptight too," Asmodeus clicked his tongue. Why were these people not giving him a rest?

"Aiden is different. He’s not uptight. He just keeps to himself a lot naturally. But you are extroverted," Desmonda said.

"True," Luke said. "We’ve known him since childhood. I have to admit Desmonda, you are very observant. This guy is very extroverted. He’s just a blockhead when it comes to matters of the heart."

"Hey, I’m still here," Asmodeus shouted.

"They are just jealous of our hot love, babe," Seraphina said.

Everyone rolled their eyes.

"Thanks for the compliment, Luke," Desmonda said. "At least Seraphina likes to take charge, so Asmodeus will pop his cherry soon."

Everyone looked at her with surprise again.

Why did this lady say the weirdest things even though she was usually the quiet type?

"Anyway, have you all checked the Heavenly Ascension ranking list?" Candice said. "Aiden is now ranked 4800 on the ranking list. We are also top rankers at the moment. The contribution points for the mission were increased. Something about having overcompleted the mission. Must be as a result of what that guy pulled off."

Everyone nodded and checked.

"Additional 10,000 contribution points, huh."

"This mission was a real success. Our weekly warrior stipend will also be multiplied twice the original amount other warriors of the same rank will receive from now on. It seems the Warriors Association higher-ups are trying to forge good relations with us."

"Indeed. Aiden must have received more."

"Well, he deserves it."

"True."

"That guy is insane."

"Yeah."

"Guys, Treehill and Hourglass just requested for a death duel with Aiden," Seraphina said as she checked the notification buzzing from her watch.

"These guys are literally signing their death warrants," Luke shook his head as he turned the car around. The car headed towards the direction of the death arenas.

"Well, technically. That’s why it’s a death duel. You can’t really blame them much for underestimating him," Candice said. "Aiden is simply too abnormal. You never know what surprises he’d pull. Even if you judge him from the perspective of a monster, he doesn’t fit any logic. That’s why people keep underestimating him. At least, we spent some time with him in the pocket world, so we have experienced what he’s like firsthand."

"Drive faster, Luke," Asmodeus said. "This will be hell of a show to watch."

Aiden was seated on a couch. He had just finished washing down. He was in a t-shirt and some shorts.

"I have more than enough contribution points to use the virtual reality of the training halls to train. Also, with the discount I now have as a top ranker, I can save a lot of contribution points when I use the gravity chambers and the virtual reality. Before that, I need to deal with Hourglass and Treehill," Aiden thought.

Aiden’s watch buzzed with a notification.

He opened the hologram.

"Speak of the devil. Free blood essence," he thought. He changed his shorts into some jeans and left the villa.

News of the death duel between Aiden Vhorn—the focus of discussion on every social media platform of Derulo City—Treehill, and Hourglass spread throughout the university.

Several flocked to the death arenas to witness the match.

This Aiden had made the university really lively ever since he arrived.

It was one commotion after another.

And his feats were all staggering.

He was currently all over the local news and social media platforms because of his crazy feats with regards to the gate he closed with his teammates today.

Aiden Vhorn was also an advanced rank 1 warrior at the moment. Two months had not even passed since he became a warrior. This speed of improvement was unheard of.

What would be the outcome of the battle between him, Treehill, and Hourglass?
