Ascension Of The Blood Supreme

Warriors from all across Derulo City were moving across and towards the four districts of the city.

However some instructors remained at the university to defend the place against chaotic beasts.

Organisation such as guilds, The Warriors Association branches across the four districts of the City, The Artifact Engineers Association branches across the districts, the Alchemy Association Branches across the districts, large business conglomerates, left some warriors back at their organizations and their vicinity to protect the area. Some who even had families did not even take any step out of their vicinity. They stayed in their vicinity, aiming to protect their families from unforeseen threats.

Civilians were being evacuated at the moment to emergency underground shelters across the city by a task force designated by the Warriors Association to ensure that normal humans/non warriors are rescued and sent to the underground shelters.

In the underground shelters, satellite broadcasts were happening.

The civilians who had managed to be sent to the underground shelters safely were watching the broadcast happening across the city.

Chaotic beasts swarmed the streets of the city.

Some of them moved across the skies. Others moved across the ground.

A colossal creature stepped on an empty Skyscraper and flattened it into bits.

Somewhere, a birdlike creature screeched. Shockwaves rippled and sound waves spread across, blowing snow dunes into nothing.

The sound waves caught several civilians escaping for their lives into bits and chunks of flesh.

In the underground shelter, several parents covered the eyes of their children. They did not want to expose them to such a gory sight and traumatize them.

As they watched the broadcast, they saw several warriors arrive at several places.

The warriors started to unleash catastrophic attacks, slaughtering some of the chaotic beats.

However, some of the Warriors were also falling.

It was inevitable. Warriors always walked a thin line of life and death.

The civilians watched the warriors with expressions of gratitude and fervor in their eyes.

Northern District of Derulo City.

Somewhere away from university campus.

The twin moons had revealed themselves completely tonight.

It was not that snowy, and the humidity was not high.

A crimson armored fellow with crimson wings and crimson eyes floated before a ruined area full of abandoned vehicles and destroyed buildings.

This person was naturally Aiden.

Several corpses lay across the place.

Aiden absorbed the blood essence of the corpses.

After that, he scanned across the place.

A ginormous looking cheetah snarled towards a couple and their child. It was an advanced rank 1 chaotic beast.

Somewhere else, he saw several advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts engaged with other warriors, wreaking havoc across the place. It was a clash of affinities.

The warriors were advanced rank warriors. So they were definitely university students.

Aiden’s goal was not to save the couple and their child. Neither was his goal to lessen the burden of the warriors or intervene in their attacks.

He saw blood essence to be harvested from the chaotic beasts, and if possible the corpses of any warriors or normal humans the chaotic beasts killed.

Blobs of blood appeared before him and transformed into several floating knives which looked like arced blades.

There were 50 chaotic beasts spotted across the area.

There were 50 floating crimson knives. The crimson knives shot towards the directions the chaotic beasts were.

The blades were very fast. They were like crimson phantoms.

The advanced rank 1 chaotic beast targeting the couple and their child opened its maw.

The family of three were helpless.

They thought they were going to die. They covered the eyes of their daughter.

Was this how they were going to die?

" Daddy I’m scared," The little girl cried.

Her parents did not know how to reply. They felt so helpless and inadequate.

In an attempt to protect the family, the man picked a rock.

" Honey what are you doing?" The wife asked.

" Escape. I’m buying you enough time!"

As a man, his duty was to protect his family. Even if it would cost him his life, at least, his wife and daughter would live on.

The wife and daughter were crying.

They didn’t want to leave.

" Take her and leave!" He commanded.

The wife looked at the back of her husband with tears in her eyes.

Why did life have to be this way?

Why was this world so unfair to the weak?

Did they ask to not be warriors?

She hated herself that the man she loved was about to lose his life to protect them.

" Leave now!" The man commanded one last time.

She grabbed the hands of her daughter, about to dart out of the place as her husband bought them some time to escape.

The man threw the rock towards the gigantic looking cheetah.

The creature snarled, about to attack the man.

He closed his eyes, ready to die.

His wife and child took a step, about to leave, as tears and snot covered their faces.

But what they expected did not happen.

A slicing sound rang through the air.

The creature wailed.

It spasmed and fell on the ground. Its fall caused vibrations to spread across the place.

Its head had been sliced into two halves with blood pooling all over it.

A crimson looking knife shot out of the corpse and arced away towards the distance.

" We are saved!"

The family of three were shocked.

" This is no time to celebrate. Let’s leave this place and find the nearest underground shelter. It’s a few blocks away from here. Whoever saved us, thank you," The man said, as he led his family away from the place.

" Dammit it, these creatures are too troublesome to deal with. We are completely outnumbered," An advanced rank 1 warrior said as she launched a condensed water bullet towards a creature. The creature fell as the attack penetrated through its head. But the group was surrounded on all sides. 49 advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts were too much for them to deal with.

The chaotic beasts were closing in on them, looking at them like delicacies.

" We need to prioritize our safety," another person replied. " Let’s evacuate this place."

The person created earth spikes, attempting to impale a creature, but the creature, a large snake, arced towards him at a weird angle and bit his head off.

The rest of the group were so scared. They felt so helpless.

" Even if we want to escape, these creatures have surrounded us on all sides. Damnit, we are really gonna die!" The moment he spoke, a large claw descended from above him, flattening him and five others into meat paste.

" Shit.. run!"

Activating their affinities, the group made use of aerial maneuvering.

However, it was futile.

The chaotic beasts launched their affinity attacks towards them.

Others bit bodies into halves.

Some chaotic beasts also bit heads off.

Screams of the warriors rung across the place

Soon, the advanced rank 1 warriors, university students with dreams and aspirations, were dead.

The chaotic beasts were about to feast on the rest of the corpses.

However, slicing sounds rung through the air.

Several crimson blades sliced through their bodies at blinding speed before they could even identify where the blades came from.

The creatures halted motion mid air.

They turned into chunks of flesh. The chunks of flesh spread across the place. Their blood sprayed all over.

Aiden appeared there. The crimson blades of Aiden turned into blobs of blood and returned into Aiden.

After that, he absorbed the blood essence of all the corpses of the chaotic beasts and the blood essence of all the corpses of the warriors.

After that, he flapped his wings and appeared at where the ginormous looking cheetah’s corpse was.

Then he absorbed the creature’s blood essence too.

Suddenly, the ground shook as skyscrapers ahead of Aiden fell.

A colossal creature dwarfing the skies hollered through the air.
