Ascension Of The Blood Supreme

A towering creature hollered through the air.

The creature had no wings.

But its ability to jump was off the charts.

It was a very large gorilla.

It had thick scales running through and across its body.

The moment it landed, several chaotic beasts in the vicinity and some warriors were flattened into meat paste by its fall.

Aiden quickly absorbed the blood essence of the fallen warriors and the creatures who died as a result of the creature’s appearance.

The creature looked at him as a predatory glint flashed through its eyes.

"An expert rank 1 chaotic beast. No way I can handle this," Aiden thought.

He turned around to flee.

However, the creature followed him.

Aiden flapped his wings.

He arced through the air with preternatural grace.

The creature launched beams of magma towards him from its hands as it followed him.

Clearly, it was hell bent on having him for dinner.

A glint flashed through Aiden’s calm eyes.

" I need to lose this bastard," Aiden thought.

" I should take it somewhere with a lot of battles happening between chaotic beasts and warriors. That way, it will lose interest in me. The result of the battle between it and the warriors may be advantageous to me. There could even be a lot of corpses for me to absorb blood essence from," Aiden thought.

He scanned across. But he was not discovering anywhere that met the criteria he wanted in his surroundings.

He moved in between skyscrapers. As he moved, he formed large crimson blades with his blood and cut down buildings towards the creature to obstruct its path. This slowed it down for a moment. But, it eventually breezed through them and followed him.

" It most likely has a terrifying eyesight or sense of smell," Aiden thought.

This was the only way possible for it to find him after he temporarily lost it.

" I need to find a place quickly," Aiden thought as he extended the scope of his scan.

" Finally," he thought.

Aiden saw a lot of expert rank 1 warriors, fighting several chaotic beasts somewhere.

Affinities and screams flew across the place.

Beasts snarled and growled as the humans screamed.

Suddenly, a crimson looking figure arced across them and disappeared.

No one paid attention to them.

But what followed next was not something they could ignore.

A very colossal gorilla swaggered through the air and landed in their midst, causing earthquakes to form.

It had red eyes. It searched around. It did not find what it was looking for.

The prey had escaped. It screamed in anger.

However, it relaxed. There were a lot of prey here.

Aiden observed covertly from 10 meters away.

The creature launched beams of magma across the place. It did not differentiate between humans and chaotic beasts. It killed whatever was in sight.

Aiden felt nothing for the dying warriors. He didn’t hate them. They were simply collateral damage. He simply operated purely on clinical ruthlessness and pragmatism. This was the most efficient method to survive and absorb blood essence. So he would use it. That was all. Simple.

The creature was extremely strong.

It swatted chaotic beasts with its gigantic hand into meat paste.

A warrior launched an ice bullet towards it. But the ice bullet was not able to do anything to the gorilla.

Another warrior leaped into the air, spun and brought his hammer down on the creature.

However, the hammer hit steel scales. It flew out of the warrior’s hands.

The gorilla stared at him. Beams of magma shot out of its eyes and turned the warrior into a charred corpse.

" Retreat!" The remaining warriors fled the place eventually the moment they found an opportunity. The gorilla was engaged in a brutal clash with a gigantic rhino.

Aiden still watched calmly from 10 meters away.

" A large number of expert rank 1 chaotic beasts and expert rank 1 warriors have fallen. I should head there to absorb their blood essence when they leave. Wait...what if I could..."

Aiden closed his eyes slightly.

He opened it and smiled.

"After reaching the level of power equivalent to that of an Advanced Rank 1 warrior, the distance at which I can absorb blood essence has increased considerably, reaching 10 meters. It seems that the stronger I become, the farther the distance from which I can absorb blood essence will become. In the future, this ability could become truly terrifying," Aiden thought.

"If my strength continues to increase, the range at which I can absorb blood essence will continue to expand. Perhaps, in the future, I will be able to absorb the blood essence of creatures from extremely far distances.

I could remain in a safe place and wait for opportunities to absorb blood essence to appear before me. But that is not the path I want to walk. The battlefield is where true opportunities exist. The more powerful those I slay, the more potent the blood essence I can obtain.

Hiding and waiting will only limit my growth. If I want to become stronger, I have to step into danger, slay powerful opponents, and absorb their blood essence. The range of my ability is only a tool. The battlefield is where it will truly display its value."

He reached for the blood essence of all the corpses 10 meters in his vicinity.

The blood essence of all the corpses of the expert rank 1 warriors and the expert rank 1 chaotic beasts flowed into him.

Aiden felt a very strong surge flow into him.

He left the gorilla and the rhino alone to continue their conflict.

After that, he left the area.

" I didn’t have an opportunity to use the legendary rank 1 poisons I bought from campus after clearing the tower because during the chase, the creature did not give me a window of opportunity. Well, it would have been a waste to use legendary rank 1 poisons on an expert rank 1 chaotic beast anyway.

I should find a place with a lot of legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts and use the poisons there. Fortunately, I bought a legendary rank 1 invisibility bracelet which can be activated for two hours before its 30 minutes cool down effect kicks in. So being covert from these legendary rank 1 creatures to wreak massive havoc in their midst won’t be impossible. As Aiden moved through buildings, he absorbed the blood essence of corpses ten meters away from him as he moved. The amount of blood essence he had absorbed was very numerous.

At the same time, he was scanning across.

Eventually, he saw a horde of 400 legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts flying across the skies.

Some of them shot beams of ice below. Others shot beams of flames below. Some also flapped their wings, causing tornadoes to form and destroy buildings.

Some looked like dinosaurs and others looked like rocs and eagles.

Anytime their attacks fell, several would die.

A group of expert rank 1 warriors could be seen anxiously escaping from them on the ground.

It was obvious the chaotic beasts were hunting them.

Eventually, the warriors managed to escape from them by losing the aerial creatures.

Only Aiden’s targets, the legendary rank 1 aerial chaotic beasts, remained.

A glint flashed through his eyes as he equipped his legendary rank 1 invisibility bracelet and flew towards a particular direction.

It was time to initiate his plan.
