Chapter 67. Invisible
Aiden was currently invisible. He flew towards a particular direction as he scanned across.
On arriving at the place, several legendary rank 1 poisons appeared before him.
The legendary rank 1 poisons were powdered poisons. Aiden chose powdered poisons because they had a wide area of effect. They could spread further than liquid poisons.
Aiden hid behind a large bus.
He waited for the 400 legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts to near the vicinity.
When they were a couple of meters away from where he was, in the skies, he threw the poisons into the sky.
Then, crimson arrows formed from his blood and shot towards the powdered poisons in vials.
The crimson arrows pierced through the powdered poisons in vials.
The poisons scattered across the sky. The crimson arrows transformed into blobs of blood and returned into him.
" It seems I’ve used up all my poisons," Aiden thought.
Aiden left the place immediately before the poison reached him.
He hid far away from where he previously was and waited for the creatures to fall in his trap.
The 400 legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts eventually arrived in the perimeter of the powdered poisons scattered across the sky.
They inhaled the poisons. Suddenly, their skins bloated. They wailed in pain. Greenish foam spewed out of their bodies.
All of them plummeted from the skies.
They crashed into several buildings across the vicinity.
Their fall caused vibrations and earthquakes to spread across the place.
They were dead.
" Blood essence," A glint of greed flashed through Aiden’s eyes.
Under the effect of the legendary rank 1 invisibility bracelet, he flew towards the place where the corpses of the legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts were.
When he was 10 meters away from them, he absorbed their blood essence.
"I should hunt more advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts and absorb their blood essence," Aiden thought. With his invisibility bracelet also activated, hunting advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts will be much easier.
Aiden left the place.

Meanwhile... in the control room..
The mayor and the other beginner rank 3 warriors were silent.
" This young man is a tactical genius indeed," Mayor Ishbal said. "Poisons are utilised for various purposes, but his unconventional approach of using poisons is quite unique. He used the invisibility bracelet to mask his presence and ensure his safety. Then he waited till the creatures were in the vicinity before he set the trap. This was to ensure that by the time the creatures made it to the area, the effects of the poison would not have been diluted.
After that, he left the place to ensure his safety. He was not being reckless earlier. Rather, he had thought things through from the beginning before he acted. He knows when to advance, adapt and retreat. Warriors like him are those who survive for long. Pride is bullshit on the battlefield."
Everyone nodded.
Aiden Vhorn was indeed a tactical genius.
Did this young man have any weaknesses?
He was also a Monstrous combatant who specialized in how to use various weapons. His affinity even allowed him to use long range attacks too. He also had a very strong physical body. His control over his affinity is extraordinary too.
" He saved the underground shelter in the vicinity. Let’s broadcast his feat. The civilians could use some morale."
****
Aiden’s tactical feat of slaughtering the four hundred legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts appeared on the broadcast screens.
Across the underground shelters, many were watching it. Shock and awe was written over their faces.
Those who were in the vicinity of the underground shelter the chaotic beasts Aiden had slaughtered were near were more grateful than ever. Had it not been for this hero, they would have all died.
Little did they know that the person they were admiring as a hero was someone who did what he did without any idea of any shelter. Aiden had solely acted to harvest blood essence. Nothing more. Nothing less. He was not a hero.
But they didn’t need to know that. Everyone was entitled to their thoughts and opinions.
Aiden was unaware of the fact that people were calling him a hero. Neither would he have cared even if he knew it. People were entitled to their own opinions.
He was also unaware of the fact that the warriors had also witnessed what had just happened through the broadcast.
Desmonda, Candice, Luke, Asmodeus and Serpahina were not too shocked because they had seen him pull off something similar in the pocket world during the mission.
But others were going bonkers. Not that anyone had time to process what had happened. They were all having their own battles with chaotic beasts after all.
****
Aiden moved from place to place. With his legendary rank 1 invisibility bracelet on, he was like a ghost moving across the place.
No advanced rank 1 chaotic beast noticed him.
Crimson arrows and crimson bladed chains sliced through bodies, spilled innards and dismembered limbs and wings.
Blood flew across wherever Aiden passed as advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts fell.
Also, because he was wearing a legendary rank 1 invisibility bracelet, not even expert rank 1 warriors could see him. Even some legendary rank 1 warriors could not perceive him.
All they saw was crimson bladed chains and arrows flying across the place and slaughtering chaotic beasts.
It was as if Aiden was a ghost with eyes everywhere.
But because of the crimson bladed chains and arrows, everyone knew who it possibly was. Aiden Vhorn.
The crimson reaper was really living up to his reputation.
After he killed the 400 legendary rank 1 chaotic beasts for instance, his ranking on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list kept shooting up.
Eventually, as he slaughtered more advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts, his ranking kept shooting up.
Currently, he was ranked 300 on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list.
Aiden didn’t care about that.
As he slaughtered more advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts, he absorbed their blood essence and the blood essence of other corpses 10 meters from him too. He had slaughtered over a 1000 advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts.
This achievement was very staggering. Aiden’s name was flying all across the city. Rumors were spreading that a crimson shadow was slaughtering advanced rank 1 chaotic beasts.
He was the Crimson Reaper, Aiden Vhorn.

" The two hour time period is up. I can’t keep killing them recklessly like previously. The invisibility effect has worn off after all," Aiden said.
He was currently standing above a skyscraper.
"It seems the amount of blood essence I need to accumulate to break through has still not been reached."
"I’ve realized something. I need to accumulate a specific threshold of blood essence before I can break through to the next level. Naturally, the amount required for each breakthrough should be greater than that of the previous one."
"The stronger surge of strength I feel after absorbing the blood essence of more powerful creatures is simply because their blood essence is more potent."
"For the sake of understanding, if blood essence could be quantified in units, then the blood essence of a beginner rank 1 creature I killed may have amounted to, let’s say, 3 units of blood essence. In comparison, the blood essence of an advanced rank 1 creature would account for considerably more units."
"However, that does not mean absorbing the blood essence of a single stronger creature is enough for me to break through. What matters is the cumulative amount of blood essence I have accumulated. Only when the total amount reaches a particular threshold will I be able to advance to the next level."
Aiden nodded.
Suddenly, his gaze snapped towards the distance.
"What the hell is that?"
