Ashes and Kingdoms

1-6. Falsification

After a spectacular night, Finn's senses had changed while he was unaware of it.

I didn't remember how I walked back to the barracks in the town of dawn, nor did I see the poor evacuees who were supposed to have strayed to the side of the road.

That dull feeling continued after a good night's sleep, and he no longer felt anything about the current state of the town or the relentless behaviour of the soldiers.

Even when he went outside the walls to find the sword he had lost, walking to the point where the bonfire platform was interrupted, the bones that he clearly knew belonged to man were rolling, but he just thought, oh, yeah.

The sword taken by the beast was rolling unconstitutionally in front of the beast. Only at the moment of picking it up did I fear that I would be pierced by that cold, dark hatred again, but when I knew that nothing would happen when I gripped the pattern, the wave of emotions softly subsided.

On the way back to the barracks, a new fleeing family went to the scene where they could strip themselves like they did the other day. But Finn didn't think to stop it, or at least to say a word of comfort. Neither of us came up with that idea.

Like Fianella said, I didn't even recognize "you have to be grateful". Nor did he tolerate looting or assault. I just couldn't feel it as a reality.

It would be a natural right for those soldiers who have so much hardship to seek in return. Once upon a time, it was a promotion, a raise, and an honor, given by the Legion, and hence by the Empire. But I can't want that anymore. Salaries and titles, as well as mere fame and honor, or even pride, were now unattractive. There are no citizens to praise, no poets or historians to sing and write down medals. I don't even get a chance to carve credit for the monuments and architecture.

If so, it is the human being who eats at the insignificant profit in front of him.

Soldiers - should I simply call them warriors now - the only thing on their heads is the number of days until their next duty. After that, it's no use thinking about it. If I'm lucky enough to survive the night, I'll just count the days until my next duty again.

Therefore they sought more instant pleasure than the golden-eyed one. Drink, eat, ramble, hold a woman.

Finn didn't join those noises, but it was simply because he knew he wouldn't mind doing so. On closer observation, not many were similar, and those warriors were just silently encouraged to train. Finn also learned to handle the sword around them and worked out his dependable legs.

I leave feeling senseless, a day, another day goes by. It wasn't until less than a month later that he finally realized the dangerous bluntness he had fallen into.

By that time he had also survived several duties, and his stern face from the beginning was no longer “tombstone” alike, and he had also become properly called by name by the man who called him "Pippy Kid". but still there was still a fragile part of me, that day, he was to recall.

It was one girl who made me do that.

As Finn walked down the barracks hallway toward his room, he heard a woman scream from the room of the goer. But Finn didn't care. As is often the case. No way. The loud one must have forgotten to close the door.

At a clear audible distance, Finn sighed, boy, pulling out the shoulder power that was unconsciously in. It's just a whisper. If it's an overdone assault, someone has to stop it in order not to cause trouble, but apparently that doesn't have to happen this time.

Finn walks blurry thinking about whether to close the door to passing, or would it be kinder to leave it alone, etc. and the quality of a woman's voice changed.

To observe from the words that tend to interrupt, apparently a woman is about to leave early after things are done. Potted together, yet awkward. Finn stopped his legs and punched his eyes for a while, but he walked out again, rethinking that it was silly to turn back.

Apparently the lord of the room is trying to retain the woman. The woman refuses it. If you don't like it, let go of me, you idiot, you're persistent - the sound of convergence, of throwing.

This could pass by the time the woman came out, Finn quickened her legs. But that's exactly when the woman popped up in front of the door he opened.

"You don't get on the diagram because you did it in a bit of a way! Next time you give me that perverted hobby, I'll crush your precious son!

The woman, stripping her teeth like a beast and yelling, had something in her chest. He hits Finn as soon as he tries to run away, gets a little giddy and looks up.

"Huh!?

At that moment, all the emotions suddenly came back in Finn. My eyes were opened to the shock and my lips were seamless in despair.

It was the girl I once knew who was snapping messy hair on his thin dirty face and looking up at him. I'm Nellis' friend. I can vividly recall only six months ago behind Finn's brain.

It was when I came to visit the temple. Nice sunny, pleasant weather. Nellis and the girl stayed away from each other's families and secretly and pleasantly told a secret story. Sometimes the two of you look at me a little bit and laugh at me dull again - Nellis guy, you're blowing extra stuff again, and...

A block of stone fell on my chest. Finn forgot to breathe, and just stared pathetically at the changed girl in front of him.

The other person also seemed to acknowledge who Finn was. At first, I've stared hatefully at him, and he seemed much more eye-catching, crying down on the spot - and at the next moment, he had the grin of a masochistic whore strapped to his face.

"You're here too."

Heh, and she inscribes Finn with a carefree eye.

"Call me if you need me. Of course, I'll get a lot of stuff."

…………

Though I tried to say something, Finn's mouth was thirsty and his tongue didn't move. When the girl saw that what was in her chest was a hemp bag with wheat, Finn was accidentally struck by so much pain that she wanted to cry.

The moment Finn's face was distorted, the girl swung the bag thoughtfully and punched him in the side. It's like trying to poke and sink a floating look.

"What! What kind of face is that? I have complaints!?

Flirting with gold cuts, the girl hits the fin twice, three times.

"You're not the same, you're the same... Oh, don't look, look! Don't look at me!!

At the end of the day, I was already crying. That way, I didn't give Finn time to say anything, and the girl rambled him over and ran away.

As Finn stood at ease in the hallway, from inside the room, a still bare man called out.

"What, you know him?

".................. Yes"

"Phew."

The man said untouched and walked over to Finn barefoot with a pepper, slapping him properly on the cheek.

"Well, you did something pathetic. Don't look at me like that."

It was the first time I had heard the word pathetic, etc in this barracks, and Finn looked at the man in surprise. Besides, Finn didn't know who was pathetic in this case.

Looking at Finn's face, struck by confusion and shock, the man bent his mouth to the letter to.

"If I'd forgotten the good old days, I wouldn't have felt miserable about myself right now. Oh, I don't know if he's coming anymore. I liked it. It's your fault, you thin bastard."

Just to say something unsolicited, he slaps Peppy and Finn on the cheek again and returns to the room with a stretch. I guess I'm going to go back to sleep.

Batan, and when he closed the door behind his back, he stopped making any noise in the hallway.

Finn felt like he had become a dead tree and had stood there for a long time. Eventually, however, when life slowly returned from the tip of his hands and feet, from the bottom of his belly, a clear one will sprang up with a strong force.

(We have to get out of here)

You can't just let it flow inert like this. If I were here, all of a sudden, I'd be just a shell out of counting the days until duty, just like the ancient ginseng soldiers.

(No future as it is)

Sooner or later Nanais falls. Will food and fuel no longer be available, or will one guardian of the wall travel with another to the dark Yellow Springs Road to be ravaged by the beasts of darkness?

Citizens, ex-soldiers, you should have known that. But everyone pretends not to see it. Because there's nothing I can do about it. Because I just have to despair. If you turn away and just think about how you spend the day and live, because someday, from somewhere, help might come - even if that's the gentle hand of Reaper.

But I wasn't, and Finn was aware of himself. Drink the sawdust, clench your fists. It's okay, I still have the power, I still have the will.

(I can't just wait for things to change. Change it, with your own hands)

I don't know if it will get better or worse, but I have to do something anyway.

That said, I didn't really think I could be in this town and change the situation from the inside out.

Even if you threaten or kick Masud off, for example, and let former legion soldiers regain their old discipline, the effects will not last long, for example. The same goes for the citizens. In the present situation, where darkness strikes every night and food can only be plundered by boat, everyone will soon be thrown away in a bowl.

(Yes, food)

Can we at least cultivate the fields and grow cereals and vegetables? Inside the walls. If that goes well, hopes will return. Then, little by little, we might be able to expand the field outside.

(The question is, who are you going to talk to?)

The first thing that came up behind Finn's brain was the person he was ordered to report daily. It's a sad habit. Finn hadn't had an ironic grin in a long time. Will Masud take up this story?

(I guess I can't. Then the rest is about Dear Fianella)

Now that Mayor Attila has been eliminated by former legion soldiers, only the Temple is serving as a base for citizens. If you're going to move a lot of people, it would be best to talk to Fianella.

Okay, and nodding, he ran down the corridor with momentum, comfortable as if he hadn't lived back in a long time. To get permission to go to the temple.
