Ashes and Kingdoms

2-2. Obsession

As the snow glistened in Deulm, Marius' cavalry was almost ready for reinforcements in Quanos when he bestowed a battle victory over Glaus.

Initially, the Tenryu Squad, including Finn, were supposed to break up with the Emperor here and head back north, but that they were now gathered in one room for a sinister discussion.

"I told you," Valt roars. "That's why I thought about it."

"I didn't ask you to come about the impossibility."

Buy words for sale. Finn responded, being aware, not to be thorny at best.

"It's just, Valt, you wouldn't even want to cross the mountain this season, would you? Besides, even if I say that the Senato Marquis will return to Nakte without going east... His Majesty the Emperor will lead the way are the breath-taking soldiers of the Senato Marquis. Thanks to Lena, the obviously two-minded guy can tell, but that's because right now in this Quonos, in front of Marquis Senato watching, we can't pick and lock him up somewhere."

"That's why I'm offering you to the Imperial Capital, is that right? I'm gonna have to burn him to take care of that. I don't think he's got a stepdad. More than enough, we made good on our promises. Even I pinched two or three lizards out of the water that carried them into the Emperor's room, and Plast drove away the hunter who had mistaken the Emperor for a scythe. I would have ended some other fine harassment. I'm already a cunt."

Nellis pointing her mouth back at Valt, who opened his hands and sighed heavily.

"Hmm. Out of the way, it's cold. Even though I'm struggling with a few allies, I can go back north and abandon the emperor. Heh."

"... you must like the Emperor's face"

"That's not good, because I like the contents. It's better than someone with a disappointing face."

Returning a relentless dialogue, Valt becomes sinister. Some of my buddies spilled a sympathetic bitterness. Some of them were twins the other day.

"Well, in that area. Mr. Valt, let's go see the Imperial Capital."

"Yes, yes. I don't want to go through that dwarf tunnel anymore."

"Wait here for the snow to melt, there's no work to do."

"I wonder if the Imperial Capital has a pretty girl"

"Oh, you must be stylish and beautiful"

"There's going to be some good food."

"You can have some new wine, too."

With the twins flourishing on their own, other faces will face pleasant expectations. When Finn was relieved, the twins turned around at the same time.

"But I'm not going east of the Imperial City."

To the twins, who perfectly aligned their voices, Finn rounded his eyes and then laughed out.

"I know. I'm gonna do that, too. I was thinking of taking a boat from the Imperial Capital because I couldn't cross the mountain until the snow melted. Some ships will go down the river to the sea and even to Comlis. Ahead... familiar land routes."

Finn had a sarcastic bitterness with his verbal butt. Silence descends into the room during the bundle. I was blinded by all hope that I would return to the north, that I would now be able to reclaim the town inhabited by man, but nothing else, that I would return, was to walk in that darkness again.

"... if that's the case, can I hang out with the Imperial Capital?"

Boosh and Valt said, and everyone nodded silently.

Thus together they were to depart Quonos with an army led by the Emperor.

Marquis Senato, who came to see him off, said goodbye with an unsatisfactory sense of sincerity.

"I'm so sorry. I wanted to invite the real Dragon Marquis to Nakute."

"You'll have a chance to ask."

Finn bowed his head carefully. In his eyes, as always, the Marquis Senato was reflected in a grey shadow. Just like the sky is now.

Marquis Senato nodded, pointing a far-reaching smile at Varis.

"The world will soon settle down. Now, Your Majesty, tell General Glaus I wish him good luck."

"You too. May Lord Rufus calm the West and return safely."

Varis meets lightly, depending on the smooth social dictionary. For a moment, the sight of the Emperor and Lord Nakte collided, crossing an invisible spearhead, but almost at the same time the two turned a blind eye.

The emperor silently becomes a man on horseback and moves on to the lead. A guard surrounds it, raises his voice and makes a march order. An officer of the legion recited, and eventually the whole thing moved like one giant creature.

The Tenryu Squad occupied a position between the Emperor's Guards and the Legion. Walking, Valt snorts, whispering and sarcastic.

"After all, even if we tied hands, you don't trust each other at all."

"The vast majority of soldiers have no hostility towards the Emperor either"

Finn also responds with a whisper. Valt nodded lightly with a face he had just taken for granted. Then I finally realized what his words meant and looked up.

"Hey, wait. In the meantime, I overheard it... but you know, thanks to Lena, he's got two hearts. So are the words now...... can you read the minds of others"

Valt walked half a step away from Finn. It is clear from the expression that it is not frightening but because of disgust.

"I don't know."

Finn answered honestly, aware that his surrounding companions were blinking their ears. I might have been lucky to have this story out in this situation. Now, even if you want to avoid Finn, you can't jump out of line and run away somewhere.

"I mean, I don't care. Who would read a lot from facial expressions and attitudes, even if it wasn't Dragon Hou? Of course, that reading may be incorrect. My eyes are about the same. Around humans with strong and intense emotions, it appears in different colors. But it doesn't necessarily read correctly."

Finn explains quietly so as to sort out his thoughts. It's basically the same thing, although sometimes you can hear your heart as well as your chin. Only strong thoughts can be heard, but there can also be misunderstandings, as in the case of Aoyagi.

Finn turned his gaze to his companions, his eyes slightly lowered and he grinned bitterly.

"Even now, we know that everyone is anxious because they didn't have any special powers. But don't worry. From previous experience… the only thing I can really tell is that they are evil or dangerous"

"What the hell?" Valt grinned spicidly. "It's impossible to stab you from behind."

"I hope so. Anyway, it's not like you can foresee people's secrets in anything. It's just... yes, only a little bit more sensitive to other people's emotions than ever before. I'm working on it so I can deal with it."

No one spoke for a while after Finn seriously closed like that. but it was slightly, and Nellis, who was walking with me, roared blushly.

"I'll tell you what, if you take a peek at my heart, I'll bust you."

As soon as possible, the serious air becomes much lighter. Finn did it unexpectedly.

"I wouldn't look at you if you asked me."

That's not disrespectful.

"Then tell me how to answer."

"Well, guess what, you stupid brother."

"Sorry about that."

Mac swoops over and his sneak laugh spreads. The rear of the forward guard glanced back suspiciously and frowned.

Nor did Valt change his expression to his sibling interactions, and he turned forward with a humming nose.

Finn walks side by side, dropping his gaze, lowering his voice and whispering.

"Valt, I'll take this opportunity to say it. I realize you have something in mind for me. It was before I bonded with Lena. But I wouldn't dare to know you wouldn't talk. So."

That's all I say, and I hold my mouth. I don't really know what I want from him anymore. You want me to believe you? Please don't disobey me? Then it's like a superior officer trying to grab a subordinate's heart. I said, I don't want to be closer, or build trust.

After a while of thinking, he shook his head small.

"If you can, I want you to be on my side more than the enemy."

To Finn's words, Valt glanced at him as surprised and laughed briefly.

"You're a very special dragon marquis. Little human like me, where I made him my enemy, and he wouldn't be farting."

"Being a dragon marquis doesn't change that I'm the son of a miller and I'm not even twenty years old yet. That's why you're so blurry."

"Ha, sure!

Valt said, slapping Finn on the back. Finn relieves the tension as he glances forward and smiles bitterly. At the same time, he noticed multiple push-kill exhales spilled behind him.

Were we all alert to the quiet conflict between the two? Or does everyone but myself know Valt's secret?

Given its potential, the relief in the corners also dulled me.

It seems that Valt also noticed the reaction of his peers. He glanced back slightly and raised his eyebrows, clapping his shoulders a little.

"Right. Me too, let's take this opportunity to say it. For a reason, I can't trust you completely. Long live the Dragon Marquis, for God's sake. Sometimes I hit eight, and I will."

The tone of talking while walking is quiet, not like the usual valt. Finn looked at him sideways, but his opponent didn't try to gaze at him.

Instead of facing each other, maybe it's a story we can do because we're walking side by side. Finn guessed and turned away himself, too.

"But don't worry. I'm an adult, too. You're not responsible, you're not going to bite."

That much said, he inhaled deeply and sputtered once and for all. Like trying to blow up all sorts of obsessions. The next time I opened my mouth, I was completely back to my usual tone.

"But it doesn't have to do with 'why', you say gamigami when you make stupid choices, and your love will run out. If you want me on your side, be more refined!

"Oh, I'll keep that in mind."

Finn smiled bitterly and nodded.
