Ashes and Kingdoms

4-3. Jetty

"Oh, here I come! Brother Finn!"

"Brother, over here! Come on!"

Called by Mac and Nellis, Finn hurried through the castle gate as he closed his eyes. He was taken straight to the back road without question, avoiding people and heading to the windmill hut.

"Is something wrong?

When Finn questioned him suspiciously, Nellis roared vaguely.

"Dear Dragon Marquis, you don't want to be hit, do you?

"Somebody's getting ready for a welcome."

Mac responds to Finn, who smiles unexpectedly.

"Well, that's grand already. Brother, when you saved the Eighth Legion from the Dark Beast, didn't you work quite brilliantly? Legionnaires and townspeople are waiting for the Dragon Marquis to come."

"What?

Apparently it's not every joke, and Finn gets to the bottom of it. Mac flaunted his shoulder.

"Rumors of my brother were quite widespread during the winter. Looks like the Eighth Corps, which withdrew from the mountains, talked about his brother and turned him into grass. Looks like Comrith had quite a few people conscripted into the mountains with him and managed to come home. Finally, there's a dragon marquis in the north, and it feels like you can help me. Nobody's counting on legionnaires anymore."

Both the power of the Empire and the legion soldiers where it is an entity are no longer utterly disappointed in the people of the North. Instead, he asks the "Dragon Marquis” to save him, although he has risen from the age of mythology.

"I'm not kidding," I said.

Nellis swells into dissatisfaction. Totally, Finn nodded too, poking his sister's cheek with his finger.

"If you're so angry with me, I won't be angry."

"I'm not even mad at you for your brother's sake. Me, too, because it's a good annoyance for your brother to be festived like that. The only thing that pisses me off is my share!

While responding with hatred, Nellis stopped swelling and looked up at Finn as if he had fixed his mood a little.

"More than that, it means I'm back alone..."

"We found you two. But I didn't come with you because I was settling in a safe place. Olya is hungry and has children."

"What, whose!?

"It's Nix. It's settled."

"Wow, unexpected..."

Hey, and Nellis looks at Mac for consent. Mac turned his grey eyes around like a prank.

"Mr. Oria, I thought you were more obsessed with your brother. Out of the blue, you've been swinging easily, brother."

"Fool," Finn grins bitterly, poking Mac's head lightly. "Nix is a good guy, and it sounds like he had a lot going on after he broke up with us. I'll let you hear it again."

Talking, as they came out onto the main road leading to the Cape, the three stopped their feet as if they were all laid back.

It was only by himself that Oandus stopped the crowd of dozens packed into the cabin and vandalized his voice in a frustrating manner.

"Look, I want you not to get me wrong! Whatever you expect, my son is not a god or a spirit, let alone a new lord!

The people gathered are only complacent, with no sign of convincing or retreating. At least make an appointment for a meeting. I protest because I still don't know when I'm going home. Oandus, who is dealing with him, is going to explode more soon.

"No, I can't promise! My son would see you if he wanted to, and he would listen, but it's this one who needs help! We're not staying here. From here, north, I managed to come back to expand our human safety zone. If you're going to help me with that, you're welcome, whether it's a little fuel, food, or trivial help. But if this one is waiting for you guys to act big, give up and go home already!

With a far-sighted look at Oandus continuing to persuade him, Finn looked slightly tickled.

Sounds kind of happy, huh?

Hmm? Oh, yeah. I thought I was his son.

I'm not a dragon marquis, I'm not a brother I can count on, I'm not a good killer warrior. Oandus firmly believes that he is a “child” to protect. Its strong heart's releasing colours glimmer vividly across the crowds.

Finn carefully chewed off the sweet taste of the joy to be protected. From now on, I'm sure you won't be able to taste it so often. I guess we shouldn't even ask for it.

Then he took a deep breath and took a step. Put your strength into your eyes unintentionally trying to do so.

The surrounding scenery merges with the sea of consciousness. Finn's, no, the shine of Lena in Finn became a wave, and the people who were flocking to Oandus turned to blame. So that the whole flock of fish flickers.

Finn unconsciously raised his right hand and opened five fingers. As such, he slowly strokes down the universe with his spread hands so that he can mock the herd. A flock of fish that was about to fly ahead of us stopped on the spot and was a bit like suddenly remembering someone else's eyes.

(Yes, remember)

the usual state of the sea. The usual way to swim.

As Finn watched, the fishes began to swim in their own way, either as they had woken from excitement, or as a small group, or just one. As it happens, the sea view also disappears as the tide draws.

In reality, too, people were scattering in three ways, complaining about bumps. Perhaps the majority of them just got together in a spectacular way. When Finn walked slowly, he threw his gaze at him as if that was the case, but no one even tried to talk to him.

However, some human beings still did not leave before Oandus. They await the return of the Dragon Horse with a clear purpose and strong will.

Finn smiled at Oandus on his concern face and said in such a tone that there was nothing wrong with him.

"I'm home, Dad"

"Phineas......"

As soon as I call my name, Oandus is stunned. The look was mixed with surprise, joy and confusion, with a hint of fear.

The pleasure of seeing you safely for a long time. Surprise and confusion about the grandeur that appeared while watching the crowd. And I assumed that he manipulated the crowd, but because of that fear.

Finn read Oandus' emotions with both his eyes as a person and the eyes of a dragon, and bowed his head small sorry. I felt like I was back to being scolded for making some mistakes, but the bad news is that now he knows what he did and he knows he can't be scolded.

But fortunately, the awkward air didn't last. Nellis shook her head as if she was stunned on the side and asked in the usual tone.

"Amazing, brother. What did you do?

"How did it look to you?

"Hmm, here's the thin light, sooo it looks like you've come down to the whole crowd. While I was thinking about it, everyone seems to have fallen asleep. Your brother did that, didn't he? Or Lena?"

"Come on, one way or the other. I just thought it would be a bad thing if I didn't calm down a little bit because a lot of people seemed excited."

Finn replies that it is not a big deal in conjunction with Nellis' attitude. Nellis raised a single eyebrow, heh, like a little fool.

"Good for you, brother"

"Yeah?"

"Because your brother is a bee sturdy, so it's no good at all to say good things and round people up. Neither did my father. If I left you like that, it would have been a fight, but if your brother had left badly and said something, it could have been a lot harder. True, good for you. Lena's here."

Halfway through the dialogue, Mac already turned away and started shaking his shoulders. Oandus also loosens his expression and gives Finn a sympathetic gaze.

Finn looked up to heaven to do it, then gave up and nodded with his face.

"Right. Thanks to you. Now, I'm gonna listen to these people, and then I'm gonna go, so let everyone know I'm back first."

"I'm not a runner. You know, sometimes."

Nellis says greatly, turning a blind eye to Mac, and walks into the cabin first by himself. Apparently, your prospective role has been replaced by Mac.

"Are you sure? Phineas."

Oandus cared, but Finn looked around at a few of the people left on the spot and then replied, yeah.

"Because it doesn't seem like it's just a wild horse. If my uncle has time, will you listen with me?"

"Absolutely. I'm your father."

To a stubbornly added remark, Finn grinned dangerously and barely kept his true face. Dad, I was embarrassed to re-say it, so when I coughed up and deceived you, I turned to the visitor.

There were a lot of serious things to do, but there was nothing Finn and the others could do about it. You want the Dark Beast to heal your body eaten physically and mentally, or to protect Comris on behalf of the current mayor, or you want my daughter-in-law at the end of the day.

Finn and Oandus gave up those petitions by doing their utmost. Mac also spoke out from time to time to help him reject a citizen who appealed to his emotions clearly.

Only a handful of stories could have been beneficial to each other.

There are two bloody young people who want me to join them. The landlord of a joint home with no more borrowers has said that if we were to increase the Tenryu Squad, we would provide it as a lodging for cheap. The owner of the grocery store told me that he always buys from nearby farmers, but that if he helped me a little to protect the farmland, the purchase would be stable.

Such useful stories were returned after checking the person's name and residence, and then considering them with everyone before contacting them.

When all the guests were cleared, Mac sighed.

"Brother, you might have to hire a secretary."

"If the troops get bigger, maybe they will. But I don't need it at the moment."

"Don't fire me yet."

Oandus laughs bitterly and makes them head to the cabin so they can hold their shoulders.

"Anyway, I came home a lot. Safe and above all."

Feeling the warmth of his boneless hands, Finn whispered slightly illuminated. With a very small voice, I can't even decide whether they want to be asked or not.

"I'm glad your father's okay."

I missed you.

Only one word of that, I was ashamed of the boulders and couldn't speak to them.
