Ashes and Kingdoms

5-6. Changes in wind direction

Even though the sun is intensifying every day, the wind is still chilly. Nevertheless, the face of the Tenryu Squad even said to be dry, rolling to take away the sun in the garden of the barracks.

"If it's going the same way tonight, we'll figure something out a different way"

Hey, and Valt talks. Finn at the end of his gaze looked at the fading wound with his hands over the sun. Lena touches the crew every day to heal the wounds, but the mental pain is not easy to heal. Your strength keeps decreasing.

When the mole disappeared, Finn woke up with a sleepless twisted face.

"Right. But I feel like it's time for a change to be revealed. Just one more night, and you'll get through it."

"Is it true? If you can't, give me a special allowance. Fine wine..."

Valt bumped, but didn't like it anymore. Same goes for the rest of the crew. Finn looked over at his buddies who were mostly sun-dried and laughed a little.

"I'll look for something. I really appreciate it. And to everyone."

"Don't be serious about that kind of dialogue. My ass itches."

"I didn't know you were that careful."

Finn replied sarcastically and stretched out. When I get the light on my face, I feel clear.

"I'm going to the dock. I kind of have a hunch."

There are close signs of nostalgia, that feeling has been making a corner of my mind noise since this morning. Maybe Taz is coming. The dragon's vision also allows him to look over a strip, but at the same time he wasn't sure he could successfully avoid the emotions swirling into Winnea and wasn't sure.

"Be careful, man."

That's all Plast said without hesitation, but the worry was conveyed. Finn nods bitterly and walks out slowly. Even before leaving the barracks, there was already more and more distrust and suspicion drifting towards him.

I don't know what the hell you're really thinking about helping Winnea, because we're safe...

Unlike the first day of arrival, no legion soldier smiles at Finn. He doesn't even talk, turns swordswallowing knobs from afar, whispers his hissing and pussy.

Finn kept walking under the guise of calm as he tried not to care about them.

It was worse in the city. The evil of hearing, those who flee quickly to the other side of the road if they see, and those who turn a blind eye in fear of each other even if they show no hostility. It's just a few days, and it's a dramatic change.

Finn kept walking only normally. Atrophy will only increase distrust and dissatisfaction, and then Islev will have difficulty doing his job. Already he has begun troublesome discussions with the City Council and Ancius about how we can get our citizens' lives back on track, how much taxes we can pay to the state as it stands, and how we can ensure a safe way of transporting support from our country.

Finn, does it hurt?

Lena talks worryingly. The warmth wrapped his heart and the force that was unconsciously in Finn's shoulder fell out. A heart rubbed off with hostility directed at it regains softness as soon as possible. Finn noticed his emotional changes and one smiled slightly bitterly.

It's okay. I'm sure it's hard, but leave the pain alone. If I don't feel anything anymore, I'm in trouble.

If you can only feel the anxiety and dissatisfaction of the people of Winnea by other personnel as a whole, it will be easier, but you may behave inappropriately. So if you really make citizens enemies, you don't know what you've come this far for.

Lena showed a slight sign of regret when she was told, but she pulled back without being forced. When Finn realized she didn't seem to have very good feelings for “many other” people, he talked to her.

(Lena. Indeed, human behavior as a herd may often not be very good. It is common that the end of the war was brought about by human rampage… and that individual consciousness is dominated by the consciousness of the flock. But me and Mac and Nellis are the same people.

Finn is special. Nobody's as pretty as Finn.

"Uh... even so. For you, tiny humans will look like one creature in a herd, but when you see each and every one of them, it's something different. So, um... don't hate me very much.

I don't hate humans. I'm scared. I'm more scared of Finn getting hurt.

Lena's consciousness leans in. Finn repeated, "It's okay," and gently wrapped the light around him.

In doing so, he noticed he was out by the river. There used to be a merchant boat hissing at the dock, but now there's just a small fishing boat nearby that catches river fish. The spacious place for packing is also full of dust and debris.

Finn walked through the sparse docking yard of the shadow and to the tip of the pier with his arm extended to the river surface. When you get here, you can see far from the top of the river to the bottom of the river. Without having to use the dragon's vision, a small shadow caught my eye.

"That's it!

Unexpectedly raise your voice of joy. People nearby looked back a little. Then, following Finn's gaze, he looks down the river and twists. Could one ship sail back through a river that had been out of traffic for months?

The area was vibrant. Whoever prepares for mooring, who runs to the news, whatever comes to the sights. Finn even stared as he heard that noisy voice on his back. When he unconsciously used the dragon's vision and admitted that the ship was indeed Taz's ride, he couldn't bear to stretch one hand into the sky.

Lena!

Dragons appear giant at the same time you call them. Ignoring the scream and the cry, Finn rose to the universe and flew to the ship at first sight. Even the deck raised a surprise voice, but this one quickly all waved at me, realizing it was Finn.

The dragon's splash winds up, causing the sail to flake. The direction was also so sudden that the deck was roughed up, but when Finn noticed it and turned to the stern, the sail swelled under chase wind.

When the ship approached the city sufficiently, Finn flew away once to avoid getting in the way of the shore. Turn around and expect the work to be done, ask Lena to drop you off at the pier. At the same time, Taz ran down from the ship. Momentum likely to step off the handover plate.

"Hey, Finn! How did you know we were getting there today!?

"It's a coincidence. Anyway, I'm glad you're okay."

Citizens around them were taken aback by the two of them, who were happy to hug each other and reunite. The captain faces off the deck, this is Taz, and yells.

"Don't skip because you're a friend of the Dragon Marquis! Let's unload!

"Heh!

fished by Taz, who replied in a prestigious manner,

"I'll help!

Finn offered. Taz sprinkles as soon as possible, and the captain makes his eyes black and white. On behalf of the captain, who had no words on his feet, Taz slapped Finn on the shoulder laughing.

"Idiot, you're getting in the way. Someone better off in the city than that, call someone who's holding the money. That's a lot of stuff. We have to negotiate a price."

"Right. See you later."

Finn laughed bitterly embarrassed and ran out with one hand up to deceive him.

The news that the merchant ship had arrived instantly spread all over the city. There was a crowd at the dock, and when Ancius and the merchants of the wholesalers arrived, it was a little festive.

While the captain was negotiating with them, Finn was showing Taz his shipment. Not that I can buy it, of course, so it's just chilling.

The items were not all loaded with Comris.

Vertier was in ruins.

Taz tells lightly, and Finn nods that so too. There was little impact because I understood that there was no way the city would last that long that Nanais had been outlawed before he fell.

"I could have gone bare, but the captain insisted that we land, and it's late. I ordered you to look for survivors just in case."

Taz says and laughs bitterly, slamming the costume cabinet buried in the load with a concon.

"Ma, the reality is this. We spent days collecting what was still in shape from one end and picking out what the captain was likely to sell. I didn't feel very good, but it's better than letting it rot. The captain said if you leave it alone, it'll just be a nest of birds and rats, so..."

"Yes, you are."

Finn smiled bitterly and looked down at the costume cabinet. Kids' clothes with matching embroidery, all the way for a sunny day. Buying or selling items that make someone's life is a bit of a chest ache. But surely there is nothing in this day and age that can be wasted with sentiment. One ripped off, even one thread.

"The water supply seemed to be running out somewhere and I couldn't use it, but the well was safe. A few pomegranates and fig trees survived, not even enough replenishment, but if it's available over there, it looks like we could go further north."

To Taz, who said so in a meaningful way, Finn turned his eyes round. No way, and faster than he opened his mouth, Taz sounded a little tongue-in-cheek.

"Don't panic. I know you're going to Nanais by land. This way, too, we can't just keep heading north. But when I get back to Comrith, I'm sure I'll be able to predict when you get to Nanais and bring you food and building materials."

"Is that true!?

"The captain is willing to. It's conditional if you pay the price properly."

"That's the biggest problem," Finn said, tanned. "I wish Digg was asleep in Nanais. Clothes and food will be rotten."

"There must have been a treasure in the temple, shall I tell you something?

"Don't be impotent. Well, let's ask you to just come. You don't know what's out there until you go over there."

They keep walking slowly, talking about how they have no other love, such as if someone is hiding a pot of gold under the floor. In the meantime, the buzz at the dock continued to increase even further.
