At the Northern Fort

Village classes again

Away from the altar, I decided to go to a nearby village next. It's a village where parents and children would have gone back earlier.

We're all at work this morning even if we go to the fort, and my mother is on patrol when we get back to her residence, so we're free.

(Didn't you give a class in the square?

In warmer seasons like now, eyeglass teachers teach classes to children in village squares. The teacher seemed like a villager too, but he was more of a scholarly atmosphere man than a peasant.

The second time I went to see class, my teacher was talking about spirits, so I accidentally mixed up with the kids and joined them, but since then, I've just been sneaking peeks. Because at the end of the day, I feel like my kids are screwing me over, even though I found out that my kid Gitsune is in class.

Classmates were all so excited when stray dogs came into the elementary school yard even in their previous lives.

(Oh, there he is!

Entering the village and heading to the square, there were already about ten children gathered there.

And standing in front of those kids is a dark-haired, warm-hearted teacher with glasses.

I crawl into my usual fixed position - the grass behind the square - and gently let just a peek into my face to watch the class.

But the teacher is obviously looking at me, and I laugh happily and blush my cheeks, so I feel I've already found out. The kids don't seem to notice because they're turning their backs on this one though.

The class seemed just about to start, and the teacher started talking with concern for this one from time to time.

"Well, then let's talk about God today"

God? God... With that said, you don't really know the religion of this Alidra country or what kind of god we all believe in.

I mean, I thought the Spirit was like God in this country and in this world. Are you saying spiritual faith? It was a culture of awe and reverence for the Spirit present in nature and nature, the realization that there was no God.

But apparently not. The teacher fixes his glasses and asks the children questions.

"You know who made this world, don't you?

"Yeah, I know!

"God! That's what my grandfather told me."

In contrast, the teacher nodded "correctly," he continued to ask.

"So who can say the name of that god?

"Yes! Ava Rousha!

The boy sitting on the far right answers well. The teacher nodded again.

"Right. By Ava Rousha this world was created, as were we humans, animals, and spirits"

Heh, the Spirit was also made by God. And as I listened to the class, I thought.

I don't know if that's true, and I doubt God is really there, but that seems to be what's happening in this country. There is a God named Ava Rousha, and the Spirit was created by that God.

(Speaking of which, Grandma Hyderin used to talk about God, too.)

Grandma Hyderin is Heililith's grandmother, a spirit who lives as long as her father.

"I'm sure God made some mistake when he made you. I put in a human element by mistake."

Grandma Heidelyn said that to me, who was getting along with humans. Besides,

"You newborns won't know, but if you live long enough, you'll realize that there are still unknown beings on top of you."

And he also said that. Grandma Hyderin seems to feel God's presence, and then maybe she's really God.

The teacher continues.

"Ava Rousha saw the light of the sun and thought it was beautiful, giving you strength and will. That is the Spirit of Light. In addition, I thought the darkness of the night, the magnificent earth, the clear waters, the winds that blow through, the flames that burn, the trees in the woods, and the lightning, the flowers, and the silver snow were beautiful, and I gave them special strength."

"Yes! I know! Snowlea!"

"It's white tight!

"She's a beautiful woman!

"Right. The Spirit of Snow is Snowlea. Snowlea had children before..."

So the teacher looked at me again for a moment and loosened his expression. Is it weird because you're only halfway out of the bush with your face?

"Now, the Spirit is whimsical because it is the incarnation of nature. So, guys, don't make noise when you go to the altar. It snows heavily when you piss off the Spirit. Or they could go to some other land."

"Are you scared?

"It's the same as snow, with some scary sides. But I'm not just scared. The snow is magical, isn't it? If you bury the vegetables, they'll sweeten you, and they'll stop the time to keep you from rotting. Besides, it brings abundant water in spring. The Spirit of Snow will punish us if we do evil in the mountains, but it will protect the area with snow."

To children who don't understand well, the teacher keeps talking.

"Snow is a natural fortress. It makes it harder for enemies to break in and come, and keeps away the diseases that are spreading in warm areas, as well as the poisonous bugs. You have to watch out for colds and frostbites though."

Even I think it's going to be hard for humans when it snows, but they know the good side of the snow well too.

I'm glad people in this area don't hate snow and appreciate it.

(In the future, even when it's time for me to nest, I want to be here the same as I am now. So I want to protect the people of this area. about the knights of the fort, of course)

While I was wondering what my consciousness as a Spirit had come up, the teacher was back to talking about God again.

Apparently there is also a small temple in this village.

"It's not such a splendid temple as it is in the king's capital, but let's all protect it. Good luck cleaning! Ava Rousha must be watching."

"Yes!"

I'm still not sure what's in this village.

(Temple)

When I saw the village from the outside, there was only one white, tall building, but was that it? Though tall buildings are plentiful and plain, they do have an atmosphere like a temple.

(In time, let's go play)

Near noon and after class I decided to head to the fort. It is close to the village to the fort and can be reached on foot, but I am tired of coming down Mount Snowlea, so I decide to use the mobility technique from the square.

"Mi, Mir...?

And the teacher, who remained in the square until the end, called out nervously when he tried to use the mobility technique to make sure all the children had returned. How do you know his name?

Once I was hiding in the grass, I would just go out on my face again.

"Wow!"

Then the teacher let the eyes behind the glasses melt. My face is loose, like Mr. Branch Leader when I took off my ice mask.

"Shisei-?

Tilting his calf toward the teacher, who wouldn't move loose, the teacher melted even further as he said "wow" again.

"You're a good chatter! Amazing!"

"Yeah."

"You're smart!

Even though a teacher is a man, he reacts like a child-favorite aunt.

"Mi, Mir has a favor to ask..."

The teacher says in such a way as to be afraid.

"What?

"If you like... could you let me stroke that fluffy, very comfortable hair?

The teacher began to shudder too much of the excitement. Isn't the knight of the fort the only one who likes mundane?

"Fine."

"Wow, thanks!

My teacher rejoiced when I got out of the grass and slowly reached this way. The teacher also seems to have something called awe of the Spirit, which is a little cautious.

And when I put my hand gently on my head, a fourth "wow" appeared.

"It's so sarcastic and fuzzy! Lovely...... I want to touch it all the time......"

I was caressed by the teacher for a while, thinking that the teacher seemed to feel comfortable with the chief.
