At the Northern Fort

Deputy Director, feed (2)

When Grail finishes his own morning practice, he even works in the office in the morning.

And when it was time for his lunch break, he left the room with the paperwork and pen he had in his hand.

People in this country eat a lot of meals per meal, but instead they only eat two meals in the morning and evening. If we were to eat something at noon, it would be an intermittent meal.

Nor did Grail go out for dinner because he took his seat at noon. Continue down the hallway on the third floor in the opposite direction to the dining room.

Looking out through a small, penetrating window, there was an outdoor training area underneath. The 6th Squad seemed to be using it this morning, but the knights they were training were moving indoors to take a break.

There are some 'squadrons' within the 'squadron' called the 9th squadron in this fort, make it training, make it work, basically act on each of those squadrons. 1st to 4th squads are border guards, 5th squads are town lookouts, 6th squads are training, in the wind.

After a while when people disappeared from the outdoor training field, a white fox arrived from the edge.

I knew you were here, Grail laughs. When the child Gitsune looked around to make sure there were no humans, he proceeded to the center one by one.

Since it snowed again last night, the footprints so far have disappeared. The only thing on the training ground is the footprint of the 6th Squad that was there just now.

Kid Gitsune alerted herself again before choosing to run out on the marginal snow. I was just rushing around at first, but gradually it was getting more fun, and I started gleaming in the snow as my eyes glowed.

I thought I'd left my ears and tail and buried it in the snow. At the next moment, I'd roll out, jump big, and stick it in the snow from my face again.

I had played alone like this in the training field before, so I expected to come back, but it seemed like a hit.

I really don't get tired of watching it, Grail thought.

"Ah, isn't he the deputy chief?"

A bright voice echoes in the quiet hallway.

If Grail turned around, a flashy blonde was about to come this way. His name was Kicks, and he was still a young but promising knight in the future. Except for the drawback of being easy to get on track, though.

"What are you doing here?"

Kix is one of the few men who speaks casually to Grail.

Grail shrugged his jaw silently and pointed out the window.

"Hmm?... Ooh, it's a fox!

Kicks also shake when he sees a little fox shaking at the training ground.

"That's a white fox that's been rumored lately."

"Oh."

Grail nodded.

Actually, Grail isn't the only one who knows that girl's fox exists now.

Many knights have witnessed how the child fox is running around the training ground and wandering around the grounds in this way.

And the rumor spread instantly among the knights in the last four days.

In winter there was always something like obstruction in this northern fort because of the wax or fall of snow, but the presence of the adorable Gitsune, who suddenly appeared, dusted and soothed the hearts of the knights.

The tough men are delighted to find the footprints of the little meatballs left on the snow.

But the other knights have not noticed that Grail is feeding his child the fox. Is it about the head chef you know?

I'm not hiding anything from Grail, and if he asks, he talks as much as he wants, but there's no one to ask.

"A deputy chief is an animal lover."

Kicks said as he watched the little fox jump around the snow properly.

Keep your lips crooked so you can laugh.

"Like the Branch Leader, surprisingly, do you like cute creatures like that?... buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu don't look good"

Finally, to his rude men who laughed out, Grail turned a cold grin. I say with a disappointing arm around Kix's shoulder.

"Kicks, if you're free, go with my sword archery. I don't know if I can help..."

"Sorry, sorry, sorry"

At the end of the evening and after work, Grail headed to the dining room. After eating his share, he returns to his quarters, as usual, to get the chef a meal for his son's fox.

When he entered his room and put the lights on, the little fox barked out the window when he noticed Grail's return home. I guess I can't wait for dinner.

Open the window and set the meal aside, once you leave. Because when Grail looks nearby, the child fox seems nervous.

While she was eating, Grail took off the coat she was wearing and let her go on a costume hanging. Loosen the boot strings and be ready to take a bath.

After a while, I said, "Shah!" If you hear a chirp, that's a sign that the meal is over. As Grail approached the window, an empty plate remained on the crate, and the child fox looked up at this one in front of a cabin a little further away.

The meal seems to have been delicious, licking my mouth over and over again to taste the aftertaste.

The child fox appears to be forgiving to Grayle, but still not entirely trusted. The subtle distance between the two is proof of this.

This distance hasn't really shrunk since we first met. Grail wanted to try stroking the soft hairline of the child fox, but when she squeezed her hand, she became wary.

But today may be the day you can stroke it.

In Grail's hand there was an item to eliminate the distance between the two. ─ ─ The jerky the chef gave me.

Thinly stretched by tapping samisi and baked in the oven. Although it was not particularly seasoned, the flavour of the meat was concentrated and it felt like it could be eaten deliciously by humans.

Grail held the jerky in his hand and waved it to make it look like a child fox.

The child fox says, 'Hmm?' He came closer to see what Grail had after he had his neck clenched. I noticed the fragrant smell of jerky just before the crate and raise the pin and tail.

As always, he hesitates to approach Grail, but he can't help but worry about the jerky. Never take your gaze off the jerky as you twitch and go back and forth near the window.

"Here, try it. It's delicious."

Grail ripped the jerky into small pieces and put it on his palm, stretching his arm out the window. Until now, the child fox has never eaten anything directly from his hands. This was a pretty serious challenge for Grail.

I wanted you to know that human hands are not afraid, that nothing terrible is done, that you can be assured.

By the smell, the child fox put his forefoot on the first step of the crate. I'm approaching the grail sometime.

He was desperate to stretch his neck for a while, but realized he couldn't reach the jerky without getting a little closer. He got on the crate in a freaking motion and woke up with his forefoot on the second step.

I smell the big palm of Grail right in front of me, and then I smell the jerky. In the meantime, Grail was stopping the movement of his arms with statue greetings so as not to surprise the child fox.

After smelling so carefully, "You don't have to smell so much," the child Gitsune turned a piece of jerky into his mouth, quickly descending the crate and turning back.

Moderately far from the grail, is chewing on the loot.

The wet nose of a child fox who touched his palm for a moment. Grail was impressed by the feeling. Not that it's a nasal fetish. I was just glad you received the jerky directly from my hand.

One more time I ripped off the jerky and showed it to him, and the child fox came closer to me than I was used to earlier.

Appetite may have prevailed over vigilance towards humans. Now even with the pieces of jerky, the child fox did not come down from the crate and began to eat right near the grail.

She has never approached Grail so close from herself. Jerky's power is great, he thought.

Eventually, the child fox ate all the rest of the jerky near the grail, directly from Grail's hand.

Though caught in the bait, the distance between the two may have approached a little.
