At the Northern Fort

Exercise of the fort (2)

Woodbaum stands up and looks at the door that Mr. Branch Leader has left and says:

"Knights are tough. I respect that, but I'm not going to be a human being or a knight. I don't want to fight anyone."

"Me, too."

So I looked around on my desk again and noticed that there was a cage with a pink ribbon.

It's just the size I seem to fit in, with a cotton (me) cloth strained at the bottom, decorated with flirty frills and laces.

Is this not an example cage that Heililith was saying?

Did you make my share with me when I made one for Heililith?

I also feel a little over-decorated, but I don't hate cute stuff. There is also a private cage in the quarters of the knight of the ship's eye, which I like the simplicity of just having a blanket laid, but this cage may be surprisingly comfortable to sleep in.

Trying to get inside, I lifted my right forefoot good and crossed the cage... again... I didn't cross.

The cage isn't that tall, but my foot's short makes it impossible to get in one foot at a time.

I backed off a little when there was no other way left to jump in.

I calculate in my head to make a run for it with one or two, and jump with three, and I step out of it.

All right, let's go. Let's,

One, two, three!

The timing was perfect.

But the moment I thought I put it in well, the cage on the shiny polished desk slipped softly over the desk with the momentum I jumped into and fell straight upside down to the floor.

"Geez!

Tongue, the sound hits your body on the floor. The cage was flipping in the middle of a fall, so now it's wearing over me.

"Oh, yeah...!? Are you okay, Milfilia!

At the exact end of the day, Woodbaum rushes over looking at the whole thing.

It hurts so much. But I'm fine with this. I told myself. I once fell down a long staircase in the castle.

That experience makes me stronger now!

In an attempt to get closer to Woodbaum, I stood up and walked in a cage. The body is completely hidden, so if you look from the side, the cage will look alive and moving.

"Milfilia, wait a minute...... here"

Woodbaum became a person and took the cage from me. But Woodbaum seemed surprised for a moment that a fox-eared toddler had come out of inside, as I had just changed to a human form to leave the cage with my hands.

"Is that it? It's human shaped."

"Yeah."

"I saw it when I stayed in Teena's or Lecka's room, but speaking of which, you're already turning into a person. Even this one looks cute!"

Woodbaum lifted me up and touched my cheeks puffy.

"Where did you bump into him earlier? Are you okay?"

"Daiji-bu. Because I've fallen from the castle."

Speaking of my martial arts,

"Oh, it looks like it's started."

Woodbaum looked out the window and said. Soon enough in my ear I can hear the roar of the knights inspiring themselves and their companions and the many footsteps that kick the ground.

I rode my torso out of Woodbaum's arms and peered into the window and saw all the knights fighting down there.

The fence surrounding the fort was high and slippery even as it attempted to climb, so the attack team led by the Shigeye Knight was letting humans take over the fence as a foundation. When you build momentum and run, you step on your people, jump on the fence, twist, and jump inside. Even though many people have big bodies, they're all pretty light.

The Kicks seem to be good at this stuff especially because they have good motor nerves, but they've been on the inside since the beginning, so it's like a defense team, not an offensive team. I am intercepting the knights who have broken in with my sword.

Are you in an invisible position from this window, or I don't see the knight of the ship's eye, Mr. Tina, or Mr. Rekka?

"Stop the vice president!

But I heard a scream from somewhere, so I knew where the knight with the eye was. I wonder if it is unobtrusive after all.

The branch chief's office is quiet, but the hustle and bustle around it sounds loud for that matter. They're all knights of the northern fort, and even though I know this is an exercise, sweat seeps into my palms.

"I'm just watching, and I'm thrilled."

"Wow, me too."

Two cautious people, squirming and spending time embracing each other in the safe branch chief's office.

Eventually, how long would it have been, where my little hand was chirped with a sweat of tension, I could hear Mr. Branch Leader from the hallway in front of the room.

"You're early, Grail."

And without laying between them, the sound of a sword and a sword hitting each other echoes.

The Knight of the Eye and the Commander of the Branch are at war. He should be using an uncut sword for training, but listening only to the sound was as compelling as he was seriously fighting.

I want to wait in front of the door, but they're telling me I can't go, so I somehow suppress the feeling of doing it.

The battle sounds in the hallway continued in the meantime and the battle seemed antagonistic.

Mr. Branch Leader said he was targeting the Ship Eye Knight, so I think the Ship Eye Knight is stronger compared to the two of us, but maybe he's having a good fight. The sound of the sword hitting me was uninterrupted for a while.

Eventually, however, the settlement arrived.

Either sword must have broken, there was a high metal noise at the moment, and it seemed like a sword rolled down the hallway.

"Stupid power..."

The sigh I hear belongs to Mr. Branch Leader. That means...

"Seki Cancer Kishiki!

When the door opened quietly, the knight of the ship's eyes walked over here with his sword in his sheath. I shake my tail and welcome.

"Milfiria, you're gonna lose your tail."

Woodbaum put me down on the floor worried about the intense movement of my tail.

"Seki Cancer Kiki!

When you change into a child fox while running and jump on the chest of your crouched opponent, wah-hah! and smile.

The Shigeye Knight also laughed at my welcome,

"I'm here to pick you up, Mill"

So he kissed my forehead.

Oh, there, the chief of the branch just now...

The exercise was successfully completed. I'm relieved no knights seem to have been heavily injured. Woodbaum says he's going back to his usual shade, so I followed him on my back, too.

Everyone in the knight is going around the fort and starting to inspect and repair the doors that someone seems to have kicked down or put the torn lawn back on.

And, in an unpopular place, I came across Tina and Lecca rubbing something.

"But worried..."

"It's okay, nothing's wrong"

The fairy on Mr. Rekka's shoulder noticed me and flew over, so they both turn their faces.

"Mr. Teena, Mr. Rekka, what's wrong?

I asked peeking into my face from behind Woodbaum's neck.

What the hell happened this time?
