Before the two of them could set off, Jim’s voice suddenly rang out behind them.

’’Hey!’’ he shouted. ’’What the hell are we supposed to do?!’’

Theo paused and glanced back.

For a moment, he’d almost forgotten about the others.

The three dozen C-rank vultures that had attacked them were already dead, leaving Jim, Iris, and Lyra with nothing directly in front of them.

His eyes quickly moved towards Dragonfang.

Marcus’s summoned beasts were still blocking attacks, but several had already been heavily injured.

And although Darius’s attack seemed to have seriously injured the B-rank vulture, the beast was far from dead.

’’Go help them defend!’’ Theo shouted, pointing towards Dragonfang. ’’Make sure nothing gets through!’’

’’Got it!’’ Jim shouted back while giving a thumbs-up.

Iris and Lyra nodded immediately.

None of them had the mobility to keep up with Theo and Owen without their contracted beasts anyway.

The three rushed towards the Dragonfang group right away.

As they ran over, several spells were already flying towards the formation.

’’Black, cover left!’’ Marcus shouted. ’’Blue, go to the right!’’

But before the beasts even moved, Lyra and Jim slid to a halt, each already forming a spell.

WHOOSH!

Large roots shot out of the ground on one side, twisting around each other to form a thick wooden wall.

At the same time, an ice and metal wall rose from the ground in two other places.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Silver and gold core spells slammed into each wall.

They had no trouble holding against the silver core spells... but the gold core spells were completely different.

The ice wall shattered first, having blocked two fire spells.

Quickly following after it was the plant wall, having been hit by a gold core poison sphere.

At last, even the metal wall melted away under another fire beam.

Even so... none of the spells actually went through.

The Dragonfang members closest to them glanced over in surprise.

Even Marcus briefly froze before appreciation flashed through his eyes.

’’Thank you!’’ he shouted.

At the same time, Nadia’s head snapped up from the middle of their formation.

As a silver core, she’d remained there for the entire battle.

After all, there was little reason for her to throw herself into a battle between gold cores and B-rank beasts when her teammates could protect her.

That was until she saw the sight in front of her.

’They... are that strong?’ she thought, eyes wide. ’But they’re just silver cores...’

A strange expression slowly appeared on her face.

Her spells definitely couldn’t block such powerful spells. She was damn sure about that.

That’s when her gaze shifted further across the battlefield.

Owen’s enormous rock figure was already charging away, black flames burning through the cracks covering his body.

Beside him, Theo continuously flickered forward with lightning surrounding his entire body.

’All of them are this powerful?’ she thought. ’But... how?’

Meanwhile, Theo and Owen rapidly closed in on the attackers.

BOOM!

A large explosion rang out on the other side.

Theo’s eyes immediately shifted towards it.

A familiar skeletal figure flew through the smoke, its enormous wings spread behind it.

Lucienne flickered closely behind it, a dead-serious expression on her face.

’Nice,’ he thought, nodding once. ’The three of us can take this.’

Just then, Owen’s voice rang out beside him.

’’Hey, Prince Charming,’’ his loud rock voice rang out. ’’The girl that’s been crushing on you is helping us too!’’

Theo slowly turned his head towards him.

His expression was completely deadpan as he just stared at the rock figure.

’’Really?’’ he asked. ’’Right now?’’

Owen shrugged lightly.

Only a moment later, both felt a massive amount of mana suddenly gathering ahead.

Three attackers had come together, a mix of blue and purple light shining above them.

A large water sphere gradually began to form above one of them.

At the same time, purple poison began pouring from the hands of the second and third.

The poison merged directly into the water, forming an immense acidic sphere.

Even from over a hundred yards away, Theo could clearly feel the danger.

’Combination spell,’ he thought, his expression grim. ’An acidic attack from three decent gold cores.’

’’FIRE!’’ a loud cry rang out.

The enormous sphere instantly shot towards them.

Owen immediately slid to a halt, even using his sledgehammer to come to a stop earlier.

’’Hey!’’ he shouted desperately. ’’You better block that one!’’

Black flames erupted around his body as he stared at the approaching attack.

’’Don’t think for a moment my silver core shit will withstand that!’’

Theo gritted his teeth and slid to a halt.

’’I know!’’ he shouted back, gray mana erupting from his body.

He poured a huge amount of concentrated chaos mana forward without hesitation.

Just as the purple sphere was about to reach them, a large Chaos Door opened up in front of them.

BANG!

The sphere slammed straight into the door.

But before it could disappear inside, the surface of the Chaos Door suddenly rippled.

Five enormous fingers slowly emerged from inside, each gripping the sphere.

Theo’s eyes widened right away.

’It’s doing that again!’ he thought, taken aback.

Slowly, an entire hand reached out of the door.

And for a moment... it just held the attack in the middle of the air.

The attackers stared at it too, each swallowing hard.

’’What the fuck...?’’

’’What is that?!’’

Just then, the gray fingers suddenly tightened.

WHOOSH!

The enormous sphere was dragged directly into the Chaos Door without even a bit of resistance.

Within a second, the hand vanished alongside the Chaos Door.

Theo quickly snapped out of his thoughts.

Whatever that thing was doing, he could worry about it later.

’I need to release that sphere,’ he thought, raising his hand.

Another Chaos Door immediately opened up right above the attackers.

Their eyes widened right away.

’’MOVE!’’ one of them shouted.

But it was already too late.

The enormous gray hand burst out of the door, the poison sphere still tightly clenched between its fingers.

Without hesitation, it threw the attack straight down.

WHOOOOOSH!!!

The combination attack shot back down at several times its original speed, now surrounded by chaos mana.

Three of the attackers didn’t even manage to move.

SPLASH!

Poisonous water crashed straight into them.

’’AAAAAAHHHH!’’

Their screams barely lasted a second as their bodies melted away.

The other four desperately scattered in different directions.

Theo snapped out of his daze and immediately prepared to move.

But then he froze once more.

’What?’ he thought, eyes widening. ’What the fuck is going on?’

The Chaos Door was still open, and the hand hadn’t disappeared either.

Only a second later, he felt a large amount of mana uncontrollably rush out of his core.

’What the fuck?!’
