Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 3: The Road to Cilentium, Lucius chapter.

The 18th Street Stuff of the Ministry of Security of Teito was surrounded by unsolicited signs.

"Director, what do you mean by no disposition?

Magistrate Lucius Aetius stuffs up to the 18th Street Clothes Manager, who sits fluttering on a fine desk.

Behind Lucius are the magistrates of the similarly intentioned 18th Street Stuff.

"Nothing like this, the controls that Hal did are illegal and void, so I won't dispose of them, I won't call them, Lucius, give me back all the horses I kept at Lord Lucilius' mansion.

"What are you talking about? Hal complied with the law more than he could when controlling it, because the warning lasted two or three times! Besides, I didn't keep the horse, I confiscated it, so you don't have to give it back!

To Lucius, who slaps the director's desk hard all the time, the director leaves his body behind under a slight barometric pressure.

"... well, if you say so, you don't have a choice, do you?

Lucius asks the director, who responds weakly, fiercely and forcefully.

"What is it?

"Sir Lucilius has officially sent me a protest and a complaint against Hal Akircius' illegal activities.

Lucius and the magistrates see the director in a way that says what the hell he's talking about.

Lucius urges the director to go ahead because of his duty to keep talking, even though he is frightened.

"So what did you reply!?

"Ugh... Sir Lucilius will have to sue you for assault if you do not control Hal..."

"Assault with an act of repression against the guilty person? Director! Are you insane!?

"Yeah, shut up! I've made up my mind, I'm the director here, so you're right! There was no control over Hal!!

When the director, who had heard Lucius's argument, could not argue any more plainly, he swung his authority as soon as possible, twitching like a child in vain.

"Do something stupid! What happens to the victim? What was Hal relocated for? As a price to take control of the aristocracy, Hal...!!

Hal was left as a price to take control of the aristocracy.

That was the case with the original explanation.

He also accommodated Hull with one horseback riding assigned to the stall and the director's arrangement.

But that wasn't a good idea.

Even if Hal continued to work in Imperial Capital, there was no way he would be safe against Sir Lucilius, a leading nobleman, and then he thought it would be no bad thing to keep most of them cold in distant lands, whether it was a left transition or not, so Lucius and the others did not disagree at that point.

I didn't think there was any silly talk of letting a government official move to the left whenever he took control of a nobleman's inviolability, but if the control itself was established in the first place, it would be this one.

If even the nobility could be subject to control, the nobility could not behave at will in the Imperial capital, and the tyranny would be reduced as a result, and he probably accepted Hal's left transition, but the premise was breaking down.

No, it was so crumbling.

Even though the director sees Lucius as an opportune opportunity to silence those who now know that they have been defeated.

"... I didn't do anything, and I don't know, because he did something extra, I'm the wingman of this protest, and the victim can't even get up yet, can he?

"Isn't that what we have to do if we go out and do some paperwork... and..."

To the director's unscrupulous assertion, a frightened Lucius immediately returns his words.

"No, I won't accept the complaint if the victim doesn't come straight to the jail!

The director, who cut Lucius' rebuttal even further along the way, overlaps words.

"Such a mess, fifteen days of appeals expire!

"The expiration date must naturally be respected, if the victim does not come within the expiry date, the damage will not be accepted, and it is forbidden for magistrates to approach the victim's house! As soon as you know you're close, it's your neck."

Lucius and the others echoed the screaming chief's cry.

It is a manoeuvre to lawfully crush the claims of harm that would surely be made.

Now it's clear, the director is covering Lucilleus' son.

Before I say anything at all, I've probably been flattered from both sides of the rigid by Sir Lucilius.

We should have stopped Hull from moving left.

I knew this would happen, but even though we were from a group of islands, there were no other government officials with the same courage as Hal, and it was also true that we thought that if Hal was gone, we would never be exhausted.

But the sweet fantasy was smashed to pieces by wood dust.

Hull's left transition was decided three days after the incident, and he left for the northern border in the early morning, five days after the incident.

Lucilius' son was due to appear on the same day, but he soaked this up, and Lucius' reminder of appearance was not even received and returned.

And fourteen days had passed since the incident, and while neither the investigation nor the acceptance of the damage was possible, it was today that the deadline for accepting the complaint was met.

Since the incident had not progressed until hours, when Lucius tried to question the Director about his future policy, he said that he would not take action on the charges of runoff and injury.

"Is it good for such lawlessness to pass in the Imperial capital? Director!"

"Isn't imperial law the law of submission for noble civilians?

"If you keep a crime in front of the public like that and you can't control it, you're not going to be able to control it!

Lucius' colleagues spoken to the director.

But the director blocks his ears with both hands, shakes his neck left and right and screams.

"I don't know, it doesn't matter! Anyway, this matter is over!!

"That's why I'm sorry.

"No, I can't help it, because I know I can't resist nobility..."

Lucius went out to apologize for visiting the Lot family after one of the stuffing.

A woman hung by a horse, Primia Lott, is still unable to get out of bed, but her brother Ortus is lovingly taking care of her sister, and Lucius soothes his heart when he sees the sight.

"Even from Hal, I have kept the legend and the sympathy.

"... Oh, you're the official then... I heard you've been moved left, and I'm sorry for something.

To Lucius' words, Primia nodded slightly and seemed to receive the letter and sympathy dearly.

The visit is made into a single gold coin, adding little by little from 18 government officials for what Hal sent out.

"I'm sorry for everything you've done so well.

"No..."

Lucius clouds his words in thanks to Primia.

Too small an object to say sin.

But Primia smiled at Hal's letter and one gold coin packed with compassion.

The warmth I've forgotten for a long time, the desire to do something about it is naturally awkward.

But the stand has been lost.

After that, we'll have to take care of everyone in the clock until the injury heals.

That is at least the destruction of sin.

After welcoming him often at the Lot family, including his brother, he returned to patrol the designated neighborhood, and Lucius returned to the stuffing in less than two hours.

And when I headed to the director's seat to report on the end of the patrol, there was a director there who spoke with strangers with pleasure.

"Whoa, Lucius, you broke the saying, you're neck.

"... Huh?

A director who tells you to be quick and proud than Lucius opens his mouth for a report.

When Lucius returns the frightened reply, the director glances at the shady man standing beside him and then makes a scene as if he had taken a ghost's neck.

"You went to the victim's house, didn't you? Sir Lucillius has informed me.

"... I went to visit, but what's that?

"I said don't go! You're gone! When I went, I said it was my neck! So you're neck!!

"Become?"

"This is the Dictionary! You've got the Emperor's approval, too, you're neck! Get out!!

There are only a few colleagues who look around but look sorry, and the others do not even try to look at Lucius.

"Right... okay.

Lucius looked lonely, and at the next moment he wanted to pull with a fist that consolidated the dictum for each of the director's snort-faces, which were sticking out the dictum with an angry look.

When he finally showers a shocking, gloomy man with a murderous gaze, the man shrugs his face slightly.

When Lucius takes a crate with retirement money that was prepared with the decree from the director's desk, he collects gold and silver coins from the director's pockets and desks that are being beaten down and flipped into the crate with his retirement money.

"Well, there's no such thing as untrained work!

Lucius kicked the director's desk back, pressed him over the director, cut him, and left him stuffed.

"Come on, what are we gonna do..."

Born and raised, there is no stopping at Lucius, the lower town of the Imperial capital.

My parents aren't dead early, and the old couple who took care of me are already in the registry.

My brothers have two sisters, but they are both married to the country and now mothers with children.

Later... I have one friend who can't care less about the northern border.

"I can't help it, do you want me to go to Hal's for my friend?

Thinking of the face of a former colleague from a group of islands, Lucius speaks to himself so.

He's funny, he's got a strong sense of justice, noble or boss, but he made a move to make things right.

I didn't have to know when I was a ghost in Lower Town, and I didn't think I could do such funny things when I grew up, so maybe it would be more interesting if I went to him.

If you were also a border guard, you could hire one of the private soldiers.

"All right, shall we go north?
