Border Guardian Hal Akircius

Chapter 4: Urban Development and Water Supply

My first morning in Cilentium.

Hull takes his arm back without hesitation, turning to Altrius, who is sitting nearby with his sword in his place of a cane, as he turns his fed up face to sleeping Ellesia in his arms.

"Good morning, have you slept well with a beautiful woman?

"... please stop her from coming into your own blanket.

'Yeah? That's what I'd call wild, I've been single my whole life, but that's about the way to go.

With the words of Altrius with a grin, Hal groans his hands on his forehead.

Altrius gave me the sleeping number, so I thought I could sleep safely, and I seemed to fall asleep deeply, and I didn't realize that Ellesia had crept into the blanket.

Yeah, and Ellesia, who hits the turnaround with her troubled voice, tries to take Hull's hand again, but Hull then raises his hand and escapes that demon hand.

"It's a kick..."

"If you're awake, just get it ready.

I have only brought food for two days, so I have to turn back to the village of Almar tomorrow.

Hal, who wanted to complete the city's remains investigation by the end of the day, diligently proceeds with an inquiry from Altrius asking about the city's amenities, after a brief breakfast, which is not flushed by El Laicia, who pretends to be able to sleep.

Altrius tried to persuade Hal in the opposite direction that the city would not escape without forcing him, and even incited Erlacia, but he responded without reluctance to Hal's request.

"Oh, I forgot one thing, it's about the water supply in this city..."

Although the water trenches have been damaged everywhere, they are basically alive with elaborate installations of forty years old imperial technology, the latter only found to be introduced from water sources without delay.

'We've done everything we can.

As Artrius proudly fry it, the urban function of Cilentium is maintained unchanged from the time of its fall, not just by water supply, by the ghosts.

But Hal also wondered about the water sources.

Although there are streams in the neighborhood, there are no large rivers or ponds that serve as a source of water, nor are there many wells in the city.

From here, drinking water was obtained from emergency wells located on the Legion Base site, and although we thought there were other sources of water because it was only for emergency use, we were unable to identify it.

To answer such Hull's question, Altrius speaks as he leads Hull.

"There's a fountain in the heart of the city, and I was pulling water from it to the city, but it's a little troublesome..."

"Fountains? Did such a fountain bribe all the water in this city?

"Ah ~ The question is best, but, well, I ask you not to say anything small or soggy in front of the person.

Hal and Ellesia face each other in a strange way to Altrius' badly toothed words.

Altrius stopped walking in front of the dead fountain of the square in the heart of the administrative section, which he had walked for a while.

"It's been a while, Aquarius, how have you been?

How have you been? Oh, Altrius! You traitor! '

At the same time Altrius called to a dead fountain, a beautiful woman of light blue jumped out of the fountain with water and ate and hung on Altrius.

The figure is clear, with fishy fins behind the ears, hands and feet, and back.

Elsewhere in Surprise Hal, Ellesia is surprised to see if there was a verse that comes to mind in its appearance.

Altrius talks to the woman with a slightly worse looking face after seeing how Hal and Ellesia are doing.

One woman said her anger could not subside. It is a flair.

"Oh, sorry, hasn't it been forty years?

"Ki! I can't forgive that faint face! I've been waiting for you!!

"... um, I'm sorry to overlap, but I'm still not going to be able to fulfill my promise..."

"Become... and you, you're dead!!

'Um, well, you know, he died after that.

"What the fuck! What the hell! Then you could have just fulfilled your promise, 'cause I've been waiting for you.'

"No, the Emperor cursed me every year, and I wasn't in a state where my contract could be fulfilled.

'... so why can't you fulfill it now? What does that have to do with the priests and swordsmen over there?

"Um, the swordsman is my successor, because I have made an advisory agreement with this one, and I cannot stand by your Lord's will until it is complete.

"~, traitor oh!!!

'I'm sorry to disturb you, but I'm Aquarius, the one who runs the water in this land.

Aquarius, the Spirit of the Water, the woman who had finally fixed her mood by removing Altrius and making forgiveness between Hull and Erlacia, opened her mouth again after she was sure to stare at Altrius, who was out of sight at a distance.

"So, what's your relationship with that traitor over there?

"So I say...

"Huh, Artrius had a hard time too..."

Aquarius finally wakes up completely from his state of excitement and responds calmly, once convinced of Altrius' dead history and his explanation of his relationship with Hull.

Aquarius saw Altrius from next to Hull, who relieved himself because his explanation worked, but there was no more angry color in his gaze.

"Why is Master Aquarius here?

To El Laicia's doubts, Aquarius sighs small and then starts talking.

"Well, there's no special reason, because the little spring water that was here was my predecessor, Altrius, who made a soul pact with me when I built the city here, and so I was supplying the city's water at that price.

"Is it a soul covenant? Like what?

"Of course, Artrius and my marriage, I should also say my parents, are friends of Aquas the god of water!

"What, are you married?

"Yes, it was at first sight..."

Shame on you though, Aquarius.

"At first sight..."

Something to think of. Erlacia looked at Hal and Altrius with a red tide on her face.

Two bitchy men.

A soul contract is a contract that literally cost the soul.

It is a covenant that gives the other person the right to free his soul after death.

Its implications vary greatly depending on how you use your soul, but what Altrius entered into with Aquarius was a marriage contract brokered by Aquarius, the god of water.

Aquarius was an unnamed spirit of water, dwelling in a springs that had just been made in the beginning.

And a hundred years later, I give a glimpse to Altrius, who came here as a border guardian.

When he appeared every night, he drew and carried his own split water into a vessel made of leaves on the tent of Altrius, but the imperial soldiers found it and seized it.

When I was interviewed, I talked about my qualities, told her that I was in love at first sight, and appealed to her to put me aside because I don't mind a servitude contract.

But Artrius wished for a stable supply of water, provided that he made a soul covenant, and Aquarius accepted this as well.

Aquarius, given the name Aquarius by Altrius and given the strength of Altrius' strong soul, was to become the Great Spirit and to supply the Harmonium with water.

Shortly before the end of the Great Rebellion of Cliffonam, Aquarius, who tried to heal but failed to fulfill his full-blown Altrius and, conversely, was sealed from Altrius into the fountain, continued to wait for Altrius until this time today.

'Yes, and yet that man, I can't believe he's kept me sealed for forty years since he died... well, there was a reason, so you don't think you have a choice? But it's good to have a word or so, even though the woman I promised to contract is in the same place... and I'm going to tell you that I made another nasty contract with the swordsman... and when will you accompany me?'

At the end of the day, a groaning section of a woman hooked up to a terrible man burst.

"Hal wouldn't do such a terrible thing, would he?

"... please don't talk about marriage premise.

Two men who discuss it with two women poking at each other moaning about how they can't get out of simmer.

"You do exactly what you do when you're single all your life.

Altrius turns his face to Hal's whispering words.

'Ugh, this is why I didn't want to use this hand, but there's no other way to supply water stably around here, so I thought I'd sneak up on him for shame.

"So, will Mr. Aquarius cooperate?

'Well, leave it to me.

"... please don't do anything too terrible, okay?

On Altrius' bad face, Hal, a little worried, stabbed the nail.

Where we talked, Altrius approaches Aquarius.

'So, things are consultation, Aquarius.

'... what.

To Aquarius, who sees Altrius in full disbelief, Altrius speaks with a refreshing smile.

'As we once did, we raise the city here, and therefore we want to have it supplied with water again, except this time as long as the city continues to follow this Hal Akircius idea.

"... Promise..."

"Uhm?"

"What happened to your promise? What promises do you have that you'll make me? I will remain with you in this land as long as you fulfill that.

Aquarius to moisturize your eyes, Altrius to hang out a little.

"... if a city could be built here and lasting prosperity could be achieved, I would retire, so it would be possible.

"Really? Why don't you cheat like before?

"Oh, there was no other skill then, if you had trampled the city like that, your Lord would have been defiled, and it didn't sneak up on me either, I'm really sorry I did it, so this is how I opened it and came to do you a favor again.

"... So, do it now?

We don't have any entities, do we? The rings and the knots make sense. How do you get married?

Altrius answers Aquarius's request flashly.

"You don't hate to contract, do you? You haven't changed your mind, have you?

'Um, I don't care if you have the skill.

When Altrius, bracketing high that there was no such way, replied sparingly, Aquarius smiled with a heartfelt joy.

'It's okay, there's a sun cleric, and there's a witness.

Aquarius, with a happy grin, stares at Altrius with sparkling eyes when he says by showing Erlacia and Hull.

So Altrius finally frowned.

'... no way!?

"Eh."

Shit!

The moment Aquarius tried to jump in and took Altrius' lips, the blue flash ran.

"We have confirmed that the ancient contract has been fulfilled, and now it is clear that you two are a couple.

When Erlacia says strictly, Altrius moans with his hands on his forehead.

"... they did it, when I paid my annual contribution, too.

Altrius' cape and the color of the helmet room have changed from red to blue, with a red ring filled in Altrius' left pharmacopoeia and Aquarius' left pharmacopoeia.

'Ugh, but from now on I'll take care of the water here, not only the purification of drinking water, the purification of sewage, but also the holy and medicinal water, because of the power of Altrius' soul!

Aquarius happily takes Altrius' arm while saying so.

Hal with a stunning view of its appearance.

"... Altrius?"

'I pulled it out, well, now the water thing is solved...'

"No, you're not..."

"I don't even have any relatives that I've seen anymore. I don't want to see anything that makes me look at the Spirit as my wife.

To Altrius, who speaks that way, there is a man who takes Hull's arm from the side, who tried to put his hand up.

"We're next, right?

"... I thought it was coming, because I'm not going!
