Bound to the eldritch Sea: SSS-Tier Navigator

Chapter 140: Silver Covenant-bearer

After finishing all of that, the "Daddy" Cannon happened to dock at the shore of an island.

Kevin, Nova, and Eliana scanned the island at the same time and found that it was a deserted island.

There was nothing but beach and forest on the island. No large animals lived there.

"This is the perfect place to upgrade the "Daddy" Cannon," Kevin said, and he got straight to work.

First, he and his companions set up a temporary camp on the island. Only then did he begin his ship upgrade work.

Over the past few days, Kevin’s [Mechanical Sovereign] Talent had been evolving. Combined with the blueprints Lilith and the others had provided, Kevin had a completely new plan for the upgraded form of the "Daddy" Cannon.

First of all, the new "Daddy" Cannon had to be fast. It also had to be tough.

Only if it met both of these conditions could it handle the giant monster hunting mission Kevin had in mind.

So Kevin didn’t choose to turn the "Daddy" Cannon into an aircraft carrier. It just wasn’t fast enough.

Of course, if he only turned it into a frigate or a small destroyer, it wouldn’t be strong enough either.

So Kevin took inspiration from the core structure of a battleship. After cutting down on unnecessary military equipment, he spent a huge amount of effort strengthening the ship’s armor to an unbelievable level.

According to the physics and structural strength calculations on the design blueprints, even if this battleship rammed head-on into another ship of the same size and tonnage, it wouldn’t suffer any structural damage.

On top of that, Kevin specially designed a set of embedded Rune armor for the ship’s hull.

This Rune armor was very light. Each piece was engraved with the Courage Rune and the Exorcism Rune.

Even if he covered the entire battleship’s hull with a full layer of this armor, it would only add a few tons of weight.

For a ship of battleship class, that was basically nothing.

Of course, Kevin also made a systematic upgrade to the weapon systems.

First, the two main cannons at the bow and stern will serve as the "Daddy" Cannon’s most powerful weapons. They are specially designed to take down giant Eldritch Entities. Thanks to the Enchantment skill, the solid shells fired by these main cannons will deal multiplied damage.

On both sides of the ship, eight close-in machine cannons and eight charged electromagnetic cannons work together. This is more than enough to deal with swarm-type threats, like insect-like Eldritch Entities.

At the stern, Kevin installed thirty-six vertical missile launchers.

Even though Kevin hasn’t gotten his hands on a super weapon like a nuclear bomb yet, he has already fully mastered high-power missiles.

When facing a giant monster out at sea, Kevin can easily treat it to a saturation bombing.

The firepower is much stronger than back when Kevin was controlling thousands of rocket launchers and Vulcan Cannons.

As for the bow, Kevin placed a large number of drone launch pads and a single runway for carrier-based aircraft.

To make it easier for the team to fight together, Kevin also set up a flexible combat platform on top of the cabin.

Of course, this is only what’s above the deck.

Below the deck, Kevin designed twelve unmanned submarines and twelve deep-water torpedo launchers.

With these weapons combined with the Enchantment skill, Kevin is confident that the "Daddy" Cannon alone can take on Eldritch giants.

Finally, Kevin made a complete overhaul of the ship’s interior.

Since Kevin has the Mechanical Sovereign Talent, he doesn’t need a large crew to help him sail the ship or operate the weapons. So he freed up plenty of cabin space for team rest areas and training zones.

At the same time, he built a lot of storage rooms inside the ship, organized by category. He also set up special rooms like a laboratory, a potion room, and an Enchantment room.

Even with all that, more than half of the cabin space was still empty.

So Kevin decided to install two separate power systems — one electric and one fuel-powered — with a total of twenty-four engines.

This huge combined thrust pushed the "Daddy" Cannon’s cruising speed to between 38 and 54 knots.

That speed is already two to three times faster than the main ships of most Survivor fleets.

If it comes to a real naval battle, the "Daddy" Cannon will have complete tactical flexibility and the upper hand in any fight.

Whether to fight or to run, that’s entirely up to the "Daddy" Cannon.

In the end, Kevin completed the integrated design and verification of the "Daddy" Cannon battleship.

The final version of the "Daddy" Cannon had a hull length of 380 meters, almost twice as big as before.

Kevin looked at the virtual projection docked in the central plaza of the [Mechanical Kingdom], and his heart was filled with excitement.

"It’s time to build it for real." With that, Kevin shifted his attention back to the real world.

He leaped up and jumped straight onto the highest observation deck of the "Daddy" Cannon.

Then he pressed his hand down on the deck beneath his feet. The entire "Daddy" Cannon began to break apart into individual blocks, like building blocks.

These blocks kept Etherealizing, reassembling, and connecting.

A large amount of materials — like iron blocks, copper blocks, and silicon blocks — poured into these Etherealized slots.

They gradually became solid and formed connected real parts. Some became the keel, some became the hull, and some became the deck.

This process lasted a full day and night.

During that time, to make sure Kevin wasn’t disturbed by Eldritch Entities, Nova took a small landing craft and gathered all the Eldritch Entities within a 15-nautical-mile radius around the island. She slaughtered them for the entire night.

Finally, when the evening of the next day arrived, the "Daddy" Cannon’s hull, which had expanded like foam, was finally completed. Everything was exactly the same as what Kevin had designed in the [Mechanical Kingdom].

The girls stared at the huge "Daddy" Cannon battleship in front of them, their eyes wide open.

"It’s so big! This is our new ship from now on." Celula bounced up excitedly, and the [Wheels of Flame & Wind] carried her quickly up into the air and onto the deck.

She touched the steel deck beneath her feet, then glanced at the giant main cannon at the bow. Her eyes sparkled.

Then Eliana led the other girls onto the ship one by one.

Amelia and Monchhichi headed straight for the combat platform on top of the cabin.

They saw all the different shooting positions Kevin had set up for them and nodded in satisfaction.

"The view from this spot is really good. Not only can you see the entire deck, but there are also no blind spots around the ship." Amelia held the [White Wolf’s Eye] and tested every single shooting position.

Next to her, Monchhichi also took out her own Zero Error sniper rifle and kept testing the shooting sightlines from this combat platform.

In the end, she was satisfied. She walked over behind Kevin and gently hugged him. "Honey, the new "Daddy" Cannon is amazing!"

Just then, Nova came over to Kevin, looking exhausted.

She glanced at Amelia, then at Monchhichi. Then she pulled Luna, who was behind her, and said helplessly, "Kevin, this ship is huge. You gave each of us a two-hundred-square-meter room. That’s way too luxurious."

Kevin spread his hands. "Can’t help it. The ship is too big. There’s no point in leaving so many empty rooms. I’d rather make you all comfortable."

Luna sighed when she heard that. "But you didn’t have to make twelve storage rooms either. I saw you divided everything into categories and turned the entire first floor of the cabin into a warehouse. That’s too much."

Kevin just smiled. Honestly, this wasn’t really a luxury design.

After all, Kevin and his team were now killing tens of thousands of Eldritch Entities every day.

Even if they only collected the most valuable organs from these Eldritch Entities and threw away most of the useless body parts, a small warehouse wouldn’t be enough to hold everything.

In fact, Kevin and the others had already stopped collecting any Eldritch Entity organs that hadn’t been tested yet.

Only the organs that could be soaked in Holy Spring, then safely consumed by the crew, and actually give them a clear power — only those would Luna store away and process slowly.

Now that she had plenty of storage space, Luna could finally start researching new potions without worrying.

Luna knew this was Kevin’s investment in her.

As someone with a support Talent, Luna had always enjoyed Kevin’s support. It really moved her.

After all, for a support person to get the same status or even combat power as a fighter, the resources and effort required were more than most people could imagine.

Luna was really grateful for Kevin’s investment and help.

Feeling emotional, she stepped up to Kevin, pressed her lips against his, and kissed him hard.

[Affection +40]

Kevin heard the notification in his ear, and his eyes lit up immediately.

He kissed Luna back passionately, but his attention was fixed on the top of her head.

[Covenant-bearer: Luna Cassabreya]

[Affection: 500 (Worship)]

[Covenant Level: Silver]

[Reimbursement Rate: 50x. 10% chance to upgrade the reward level by 1 tier.]

[Covenant-bearer Talent: A-Tier "Tear of the Goddess" (Can produce 3 bottles of "Holy Spring" and 1 bottle of "Tear of the Goddess" per day.)]

[Talent Reimbursement: Can produce 150 bottles of "Holy Spring" and 50 bottles of "Tear of the Goddess" per day. 10% chance to produce "Holy Spring Essence" and "Goddess Tear Essence".]

[Upgrade Reminder: Once Affection reaches 2000, reaching "Fervor", the Covenant-bearer’s Covenant Level will be upgraded to "Gold".]

[Holy Spring Essence: A super "Holy Spring" obtained by purifying and concentrating "Holy Spring" 50 times. Its recovery and purification effects are 10 times better than normal "Holy Spring". In most cases, one bottle of "Holy Spring Essence" can instantly restore a Survivor to peak condition. When mixed with Eldritch Entity organs, it greatly reduces side effects and increases the duration of the effect.]

[Goddess Tear Essence: A super "Tear of the Goddess" obtained by purifying and concentrating "Tear of the Goddess" 50 times. One drop can instantly kill a normal Eldritch Entity. A full bottle can easily kill an Elite Eldritch Entity. A Commander-level Eldritch Entity will be heavily wounded by it. Only a Lord-level Eldritch Entity can barely withstand its super purification effect.]

After reading all this, Kevin was so excited that he pulled Luna tightly into his arms.

Finally, Kevin had his first Silver-level Covenant-bearer.

Now, not only did Luna give him a 50x Reimbursement Rate, but there was also a 10% chance to upgrade the rewards by one tier.

What does that mean?

It means that if Luna gets ten C-Tier loot rewards, Kevin will get at least 450 C-Tier items and 50 B-Tier items.

This isn’t just a simple doubling of quantity — the quality is also doubling.
