Chapter 123: Sniper Kill - Lone Wolf
Draven stared coldly at Black Knight Aaron.
Only after the Spectral Corsair Vessel had completely devoured that Captain did he call back his boomerang. "Keep running your mouth, and you’ll be the next one it eats," he said coldly.
Black Knight Aaron glared at Draven with fury, but soon deflated.
He couldn’t beat him, couldn’t provoke him - so he had no choice but to swallow his anger.
"Just you wait. Once I get back to the [Second Sea Area] and finish my upgrade, I’ll settle the score with you," Aaron muttered as he slowly descended.
Suddenly, his ears twitched. A familiar sound came from behind him.
"Is that a helicopter?" Confused, Aaron spun around instantly.
About two kilometers away, an Attack Helicopter was flying straight toward him.
What sent chills down his spine was that the helicopter’s cabin door was already open. Monchhichi was crouched at the doorway, aiming her sniper rifle, [Zero Error], right at him.
Remembering Draven’s warning, Aaron felt a cold sweat run down his neck.
"Damn! An A-Tier sniper rifle!"
Before he could finish his sentence, a gunshot rang out.
The sniper bullet slammed into his chest. The sheer force sent him flying backward.
Down on the deck, Draven and the others also spotted the Attack Helicopter.
With a dark expression, Draven locked his eyes on Monchhichi’s gun barrel and immediately threw his two boomerangs. "Don’t think you’re safe just because you’re far away."
The boomerangs shot through the air at incredible speed.
Draven had put everything into this throw.
But just as the two boomerangs were about to hit the helicopter, two more gunshots rang out.
The boomerangs were knocked out of the sky mid-flight.
Draven’s eyes widened in shock as he turned his head. There, charging toward him from another direction at high speed, was a Dragon Form Mist Phantom.
Kevin and Celula stood on top of the Dragon Form Mist Phantom, each holding a sniper rifle, the barrels still smoking.
Draven froze when he saw this.
Three A-Tier sniper rifles?
That number caught him completely off guard.
For a Survivor like him, who had boosted his stats to insane levels, normal weapons couldn’t kill him anymore. But A-Tier weapons that could target his weaknesses were a different story.
If there were only two sniper rifles, Draven could still block them with his boomerangs. But Kevin had three of them. Not only could they break through Draven’s defense, they could also limit his movement. And every shot was a guaranteed hit, forcing him to take the attacks head-on.
There was no way around it.
In a moment of crisis, Draven jumped and dove straight into the sea.
As long as he kept his body hidden from the enemy’s sight, they couldn’t lock onto him.
With that thought, Draven chose to swim all the way out of this area underwater rather than go head-to-head with Kevin, who had three sniper rifles.
Kevin didn’t expect Draven to be so cowardly - running into the sea the moment they met.
He pulled out his [Wraith Revolver] and fired several shots at the ocean surface. In an instant, the Elite Fish Fiend Six appeared in the middle of the sea.
Whether they were crocodiles, turtles, octopuses, or lizards, all of these Fish Fiends were excellent underwater swimmers.
But when Kevin checked the visuals they sent back, he was shocked to find that Draven was swimming even faster than his Fish Fiend squad.
Seeing Draven getting farther and farther away from his Fish Fiends, Kevin called off the chase.
At the same time, Black Knight Aaron spread his bat wings and flew out of the water.
The armor on his chest was slightly dented, but he hadn’t taken any real damage.
Kevin stared at Aaron’s armor, his eyes burning with greed. "That’s a nice piece of gear!"
In an instant, eight arms sprouted from Kevin’s back as he entered his Eight Arms state.
As the Wheels of Flame & Wind spun wildly, he shot toward Black Knight Aaron in the air like a shooting star.
"I was just looking for you. You came at the right time," Aaron said, already frustrated. The moment he saw Kevin, all his hatred came rushing back.
Kevin kept his eyes fixed on Black Knight Aaron. He knew that Aaron, like Draven, had terrifyingly high base stats. So Kevin didn’t take him lightly at all. He immediately activated his [Charged Strike] mode.
The two clashed fists in midair. Both Kevin and Black Knight Aaron were sent flying backward.
The punch was a dead tie.
Kevin narrowed his eyes. He now had a rough idea of Aaron’s strength.
Aaron’s strength was lower than Draven’s, and his defense was weaker too.
Without that armor, Aaron probably wouldn’t last three rounds against Draven.
Just then, Aaron landed back on the deck of the Spectral Corsair Vessel. He stared at Kevin with caution, shock in his eyes. "What kind of ability is that? Ten arms swinging with enough force to send me flying? Is this really a Survivor from the [First Sea Area]?"
Standing next to Aaron, the brothers Joseph and Justin were also stunned.
Justin, who had always thought of Kevin as his rival, now had a look of defeat on his face. "Damn it! What kind of monster is Kevin? Even that bastard Aaron can barely tie with him?"
Joseph turned to look at Bella.
Bella’s face was full of mixed emotions — surprise, and regret.
"Bitch." Joseph muttered under his breath.
He didn’t bother settling scores with Bella right now. Instead, he activated his Talent ability and stood in front of Aaron alongside Justin.
Kevin saw this and sneered. "If it isn’t the rich twin brothers. Long time no see."
Justin swallowed hard and snorted. "Kevin, you poor loser. Don’t think just because you got lucky, you can act all high and mighty in front of us."
Joseph reached out and wrapped his arm around Bella’s waist, flashing Kevin a smug grin. "Kevin, I’ve been taking care of your girlfriend for you all this time. Instead of thanking me, you come at us with a gun? Where’s your manners?"
Bella tried to break free from Joseph’s grip, but she wasn’t strong enough. She forced a sweet smile at Kevin and said in a soft voice, "Honey, you finally came for me. Don’t worry. The baby and I are doing fine. In a few months, you’ll be a father."
Hearing the word "father," Kevin’s eyes turned cold. "Don’t pin that on me. That kid in your belly has nothing to do with me."
Bella’s eyes trembled. Her whole body shook as she choked out, "I know you’re still mad at me. But you can’t just abandon your own child because of that."
Joseph patted Bella on the back and said coldly, "I’m sure Kevin just misunderstood what’s going on between us. Don’t worry. I’ll clear things up with him right now."
He smiled at Kevin. "I just took your girlfriend to a few parties. Young people drink and hug sometimes. That doesn’t mean anything happened. You can understand that, right?"
Kevin let out a cold laugh. "Bella, this is the man you chose. Right when things are about to go south, he doesn’t even have the guts to admit you two have something going on. Looks like you fell for a coward."
Hearing that, Joseph’s face turned icy. "Kevin, I’ve been trying to reason with you nicely. If you keep acting like this, don’t blame me for getting rough."
Kevin grinned. "Getting rough? You mean buying time for someone else?"
A smug look flashed in Joseph’s eyes. "Exactly."
As soon as he said that, a splash of water burst from the sea in the distance.
Draven, who had dived underwater and left earlier, had swum back.
He suddenly sprang up, targeting Celula in midair.
At the same time, Black Knight Aaron, who had been hiding behind Joseph, opened his mouth wide and let out a roar.
The powerful ultrasonic wave shattered nearly half the deck of the Spectral Corsair Vessel. Countless fragments flew toward Kevin, blocking his view.
Aaron used the moment to launch himself at the distant Attack Helicopter.
"Kevin, you fell for it," Joseph sneered.
He and Justin both burst into action. Their bodies were covered in Talent Runes, and their muscles bulged to nearly twice their normal size.
The two of them struck straight at Kevin’s face, forcing him to block their attacks head-on.
With a loud bang, Kevin spread out four arms and grabbed both Joseph and Justin’s fists.
"How is that possible?" Justin’s eyes went wide, veins bulging all over his body.
But Kevin stood there completely still, not moving an inch. Meanwhile, Justin and Joseph’s faces were bright red. They were pushing with all their might, but they couldn’t hurt Kevin at all. They couldn’t even push him half a step back.
"Is that all you’ve got?" Kevin looked down at the two brothers with a sneer.
Joseph gritted his teeth and said coldly, "Don’t get too cocky. Without that A-Tier sniper rifle of yours, Mr. Draven alone is more than enough to wipe out every woman you brought."
Justin chuckled too. "Hey Kevin, how about we give you a little help so you can turn around and see what your women look like right now?"
Kevin let out a laugh, like he was looking at a couple of idiots. "Who told you I only brought three A-Tier sniper rifles?"
The moment he said that, both Joseph and Justin’s eyes went wide.
They immediately looked up at the sky in the distance.
The Attack Helicopter that had been hovering in the air suddenly opened another door. Amelia and Monchhichi both raised their sniper rifles.
Together with Celula, the three girls all aimed their rifles at Draven at the same time.
"Damn it!" Draven’s smug expression disappeared the second he saw the three dark gun barrels aimed at him.
He quickly raised both boomerangs and held them in front of his body.
