Chapter 134: Succubus’s Kiss

Hearing this answer, Kevin breathed a sigh of relief.

If other Survivors could get forbidden items from the Black Market this easily, then they would be in danger.

Kevin no longer looked down on Anne.

He carefully browsed through the items on the list.

Besides forbidden objects, the Black Market also traded all kinds of information, spells, recipes, and even Rune arrays.

Seeing this, Kevin’s eyes lit up.

His team was just struggling with how to get stronger.

Buying more Rune arrays would definitely give Amelia’s Enchantment skill a huge boost.

And those potion recipes and spells would surely be a big help to Luna.

As for the valuable information—it included other Survivors’ insights, sailing logs, and even records about evil gods. These were the most important sources of information for Kevin.

Without hesitation, Kevin bought three A-Tier Enchantment Runes, three A-Tier potion recipes, and three A-Tier forbidden items from Anne.

Seeing Kevin buy nine A-Tier items all at once, Anne’s little face flushed with excitement. "Dear guest, you’re so generous, you’re so rich! Anne praises your wealth. The Black Market exchange rate is one to eight. Nine A-Tier items equal seventy-two B-Tier items, or five hundred and seventy-six C-Tier items. How would you like to pay?"

Kevin watched Anne counting on her fingers and smiled as he waved his hand.

Then, more than five hundred C-Tier items piled up like a small mountain in front of Anne.

"Oh yeah!" Anne jumped up excitedly. She spread her arms and stuffed all the C-Tier items in front of her into her pocket.

Her little pocket was magical—no matter how much she stuffed into it, it never got full.

Just as more than half of the C-Tier items were about to be taken away by Anne, a magic circle suddenly lit up beside her.

Lilith appeared with a cold face. She grabbed Anne by the collar and said coldly, "Kevin is my VIP customer. You, a Black Market vendor, can’t steal my business."

Anne was lifted into the air by Lilith, waving her arms and legs in protest. "Waaaaah! You stupid Succubus, you’re so annoying! Why can you go undercover in the Eldritch Marketplace, but I can’t?"

Undercover?

When Kevin heard these words, it was like he had stumbled upon some huge secret.

At that moment, Anne also realized she had said something wrong.

She quickly covered her mouth and looked at Lilith pitifully.

Lilith’s chest was heaving up and down as she forced down her anger. She waved her hand and threw Anne into the teleportation circle.

After the teleportation circle fully closed, Lilith turned to look at Kevin, a sly smile spreading across her face. "You heard all of that, didn’t you?"

Kevin froze for a moment. "Don’t worry, I didn’t hear anything."

Lilith rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right. Like I’d believe that. Hand them over."

Kevin paused. "Hand what over?"

Lilith held out her hand. "The Black Market contraband you just bought, of course."

Kevin placed the items in her palm.

Black rays of light shot out from Lilith’s forehead. As soon as those rays covered the forbidden items, they instantly hid the leaking aura coming off them.

Kevin blinked. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t even have been able to tell those nine forbidden items existed.

Lilith handed the nine items back to Kevin and warned him, "That little girl Anne is so careless. I always have to clean up her mess. Items sold on the Black Market all have unique tracking marks on them. If we official Black Market merchants don’t help you hide their aura, you’ll get noticed by evil gods sooner or later."

Kevin was stunned. "So you’re admitting you’re a Black Market merchant?"

Lilith stretched lazily and shrugged. "It’s hard to make money these days. Can’t I work two jobs?"

Kevin glanced at Lilith.

He knew she wasn’t telling the whole truth, but he didn’t push it.

He put away the forbidden items and turned to leave.

Seeing this, Lilith got anxious. "Hey, don’t be so cheap, will you?"

Kevin still ignored her.

Lilith grabbed Kevin’s arm in frustration and pulled him back into the VIP castle of the Eldritch Marketplace.

Kevin’s vision blurred for a moment, and when he looked again, Lilith had changed into a black strappy pleated dress, showing off her nice curves.

Kevin: "What are you doing?"

Lilith reached out and hooked her finger under Kevin’s chin, licking her lips seductively. "I know you still have items left to trade. Why sell them to other Eldritch merchants when you could sell them to me? I’ve helped you out plenty of times."

Kevin snorted. "And who was it that called me a pain last time?"

Lilith pouted pitifully. "I’m sorry, okay?"

She pulled Kevin back down onto the sofa.

Then she knelt down right in front of him, leaning her whole body against his thighs like a little cat. "How many C-Tier items do you still have left? Can you trade them all to me? It’s not like those low-level items are any use to you anyway."

Kevin stared into Lilith’s eyes and suddenly smiled. "When your attitude toward me reaches a sixty, I’ll trade with you."

Lilith was taken aback. "My attitude toward you isn’t good enough?"

Kevin nodded. "Right now, your attitude is at an eight."

"Only eight?" Lilith shrieked. "Then by the time I get to sixty, you’d have worn me out completely!"

Kevin rolled his eyes at Lilith and ignored her dirty joke.

Seeing this, Lilith took a deep breath. "I know you don’t like how I treat you. But we’re still partners, aren’t we? You cause me trouble, and I complain a little. Is that so wrong?"

Kevin still didn’t budge.

Lilith took another deep breath, then pulled out a bottle of blood and handed it to Kevin. "Fine. If you want me to have a better attitude toward you, that’s not impossible. But first, you have to prove I can trust you. This is a Blood Contract. Once you drink it, two people who swear by blood can never betray each other. If they do, they both die. Do you dare?"

Kevin took the blood bottle and downed half of it without hesitation.

Lilith’s eyes went wide. "Are you crazy?" She tried to grab the bottle back, but Kevin had already drained it.

Her eyes were shaking.

She never expected a human to take her this seriously.

"Wouldn’t it be better to just keep things businesslike?" Lilith muttered quietly.

Kevin heard her and said calmly, "Now it’s your turn."

Lilith took a deep breath, lifted the bottle, and drank the remaining half.

Then she licked her lips, her pupils glowing with an eerie red light. "Kevin, do you know? After two people drink this blood, they get... aroused."

Lilith opened her mouth, showing her sharp fangs, and bit down on Kevin’s lower belly.

Kevin felt a cold, numbing sensation.

He picked Lilith up and pressed his lips against hers. "The blood is finished. Now it’s time for you to prove your attitude to me."

Lilith rolled her eyes at Kevin, then stuck out her tongue and pried open his teeth.

Kevin felt a passion from Lilith that he had never felt before.

Lilith pounced on him like a big cat, pinning him to the floor.

Kevin didn’t move at all. He just let Lilith take what she wanted from him wildly.

It wasn’t until Lilith’s whole body went stiff, she let out a sharp cry, trembled, and finally collapsed onto Kevin with no strength left that he finally spoke. "We’ll keep trading from now on."

Lilith panted, her mind blank. "You’re not completely heartless, I guess."

Kevin chuckled. "But from now on, the discounts you give me can’t be worse than what the Black Market offers."

Lilith nodded without even thinking, then handed Kevin her list of goods.

"Trade me everything you’ve got, or you’re not getting dressed."

Kevin sighed.

He counted the nine hundred or so C-Tier items he still had left and decided to exchange them for one S-Tier Eldritch Artifact.

[Elder Eye: S-Tier Eldritch Artifact. An eye left behind by an Old One. Enemies who die in the illusion will also die in reality.]

After putting away this Eldritch Artifact, Kevin asked Lilith to find him a large number of mechanical blueprints and maps of mechanical ruins.

This time, Lilith was very generous.

She only charged Kevin a little over five hundred C-Tier items for the S-Tier Eldritch Artifact. With the remaining three hundred or so C-Tier items, Lilith got Kevin all kinds of mechanical equipment - some of it blueprints, some of it actual items.

Of course, none of these were from the Eldritch Marketplace. They were all Black Market goods.

Kevin now understood that if he wanted to get modern technology and military equipment, the Black Market was his only option.

Luckily, Lilith was also a Black Market merchant, so Kevin easily got the modern ship blueprints he had been dreaming of.

Kevin glanced over them quickly, his heart racing with excitement. With the technology in these blueprints, he was confident he could turn the "Daddy" Cannon into a ship with a modern propulsion system.

Now, Kevin not only had blueprints for a steam engine power system, but he also had blueprints for an internal combustion engine power system and a modern electric motor power system.

The only downside was that nuclear power wasn’t unlocked yet. But Kevin was sure that, with his current technology base and the [Mechanical Sovereign] Talent, he could keep climbing the tech tree. Eventually, he would uncover the secrets of modern human civilization’s most powerful weapons.

In a good mood, Kevin flipped over and pinned Lilith beneath him.

He bit down gently on her earlobe. Lilith trembled like a little lamb, her whole body turning red.

It turned out her ears were extremely sensitive.

Kevin smiled. "Next round, I’m taking the lead."

Just then, the side door of the castle slowly opened. Anne slipped quietly into the hall. When she saw Kevin and Lilith tangled together, her face turned bright red. "Perverts! Perverts!"

Half an hour later, Kevin, Lilith, and Anne sat together on the sofa, all of them feeling very awkward.

"So, to deal with the evil god Pelosi, we have to go to the [Second Sea Area]?" Kevin frowned.
